Please if you have a chance to watch this movie, do it. I was lucky to see it today in Helsinki at enjoyed it immensely. Brilliant script, excellent direction, camera work, and, of course, actors.
"Patient #1" is like "The Death of Stalin", but with more realism and about a general secretary who is less known to the world. The movie tells about the last days of an aging party leader, who seems to be ruling a huge country, but in reality he cannot even die peacefully home, because "elections" are coming and the voters need to vote for him to have a mandate.
The movie had a hard faith which it doesn't deserve at all. It's a timeless piece that resonates everywhere in the world. I highly recommend it.
