Created in partnership with the Bing Crosby Estate, the new version of the song allows V to sing alongside the legendary crooner he described recently as his “all-time favorite jazz artist.” The BTS member kicks off the song before he’s joined by the familiar vocals of the iconic Crosby. The warm harmonies weave together over the classic, cozy instrumental.

“As a family, we are thrilled to have V and Dad singing together on this ultimate Christmas song,” Bing’s daughter, Mary Crosby, shared in a statement. “Their voices blend beautifully, capturing the holiday spirit in the best possible way.”

The cover art for the song was inspired by the original “White Christmas” song design, but Bing is...

Image
V of BTS is dreaming of a white Christmas, and he’s bringing back the Bing Crosby classic to make it happen. In partnership with the Bing Crosby Estate, the BTS member will be dropping the reimagined version of “White Christmas” on December 6th.

“I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be featured in a song with my all time favorite jazz artist, Bing Crosby,” V said in a statement. “I grew up listening to his song ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ countless times a day, and I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to have sung along on ‘White Christmas’ with the voice of someone I consider an idol. Being a huge fan of his, I sang with the utmost sincerity and admiration for him, and I hope many people enjoy it as much as I enjoyed singing it. Lastly, I wish a lovely holiday...

Exclusive Mending the Line Clip Teases Brian Cox's Uplifting Drama
Image
An exclusive clip from the upcoming drama Mending the Line teases director Joshua Caldwell’s uplifting tale of fly fishing and finding peace. Starring Succession actor Brian Cox, Mending the Line is due to land in theaters on Friday, and promises to be the gently stirring, peaceful, mood-boosting movie you’ve been looking for. You can check out our exclusive clip from Mending the Line below.

Mending the Line is a story about finding something to make living worthwhile. There are few things that match the feeling of catching a fish on the fly – the bolt of electricity shooting through the line as it goes tight, the dance as you slowly guide it into your net, the pure muscle of the trout as you hold it in your hand.

The drama follows John Cotler, a wounded veteran, as he returns to the States still carrying the demons of war, hauntingly...

Via Zoom: Filmmaker April Wright Takes Us ‘Back to the Drive-In’
Image
Chicago – One of the realizations that came out of the pandemic was that Drive-In movie theaters are still viable. When regular theaters closed, the Drive-In filled the void where they were available. Filmmaker April Wright has had a lifelong love for the Drive-In, and has explored their revival and challenges afterward in “Back to the Drive-In.” The documentary will have a limited two-day run at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago, click Drive-in Dreams for showtimes.

Rating: 4.0/5.0

Wright drove cross country to 11 Drive-Ins, both old-timey established and brand spanking new. What she found was a commonality between the owners and a love for what they do, or in some cases a reflection of a life in the business. What she also found was the magic of the Drive-In – beyond the infamous teenager reputation – that spoke to the future of this legendary way to see movies … which began over 100 years ago.

AMC’s ‘Soulmates’ Is Smartest When Not Trying to Be ‘Black Mirror’: TV Review
Image
“What if a new piece of tech could tell you who your soulmate is?” isn’t exactly fresh territory for science fiction. The idea that love could (should?) boil down to a science is an appealing, if unnerving, fantasy. “Soulmates,” the latest iteration of this concept, doesn’t work too hard to explain how such a game-changing technology became possible in its near future world. Instead, it imagines what the arrival of a foolproof soulmate “test” would do to the shift people’s perspectives on what “true love” means, challenge those already in relationships and make the world an irrevocably different place. From co-creators Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”) and Will Bridges (writer of “Black Mirror” episode “U.S.S. Callister”), each of the six episodes focuses on an entirely different story and set of relationships. The chapters that work best, by a mile, are the ones that remain as firmly...
