In the immediate wake of that loss (and in part fueled by mysterious funeral-day happenings), the “BFFs” abandoned that...

Which 'How to Get Away with Murder' Star Has Had the Most Sex Scenes?
Viola Davis in Murder (2014)
The young stars of ABC's fall hit How to Get Away with Murder have a job many would kill for, but star Jack Falahee tells Et that it's not always all that it's cracked up to be.

See, Falahee's character Conor Walsh has had the most sex scenes in the show thus far, and for a show that's made headlines for its salacious content, that's saying a lot.

News: Inside TV's Sexiest Show

"It's awkward," Falahee, 25, tells Et's Kevin Frazier. "It's 50 or 60 people in the crew watching you, so any time on any project that I've had to do a sex scene it's like, 'Wow, this is the worst.'"

Falahee is one part of a hot young cast that also includes 25-year-old Alfred Enoch (Harry Potter), 28-year-old Matt McGorry (Orange is the New Black), 29-year-old Aja Naomi King (Emily Owens M.D.) and 28-year-old Karla Souza (Instructions Not Included).

'The Flash' Casts Greg Finley as the Villainous Girder
Greg Finley
Greg Finley, who starred on The CW's short-lived drama series Star-Crossed, has signed on to play the nefarious Girder in the network's Arrow spin-off The Flash.

We reported earlier this month that Tony Woodward, a.k.a. Girder will be a recurring villain who debuts in the sixth episode of Season 1. Greg Finley has signed on to play Girder in Episode 6 and Episode 7, although it isn't clear if he will return later on in the season as well.

Deadline reports that actor J.R. Ramirez has been cast as Ted Grant -- better known as the boxing hero Wildcat -- in the upcoming third season of "Arrow." Executive producer Marc Guggenheim stated during the show's Comic-Con panel over the weekend that Wildcat would make an appearance in season three, but no casting information was divulged. America Ferrera in Ugly Betty (2006)
'Jane the Virgin': The CW's Hilarious New Comedy with a Miraculous Twist
America Ferrera in Ugly Betty (2006)
Think Ugly Betty meets Gilmore Girls.

In a network that is jam-packed with vampires, witches, dark creatures, and brave superheroes, this fall The CW is gifting fans with an outrageous new twist: An endearing and funny new series with absolutely no supernatural elements. Gasp!

Jane the Virgin, which will join the CW's Monday night line-up on Oct. 13, is an adaptation of a hit Venezuelan telenovela starring Gina Rodriguez as Jane, a virgin who is accidentally artificially inseminated duing a routine gyno appointment. It's pretty much every twenty-something girl's wildest nightmare that we never realized could happen.

However, don’t let this wacky (and admittedly terrifying!) premise stop you from tuning in and missing out on all the small screen fun. At its heart, Jane the Virgin is a ridiculously charming show brought to you by co-creators Ben Silverman (Ugly Betty) and Jennie Snyder Urman (Emily Owens M.D.).

'The Flash' casts Barry Allen's mom: 'Arrow' spinoff adds Michelle Harrison
"The Flash" has found its mother. Michelle Harrison will play Nora, the mother of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in the "Arrow" spinoff, Deadline reports.

Harrison's role will most likely be seen only in flashback, as she has long since died by the time "Flash" begins. Supposedly murdered by her own husband, Nora was instead the victim of an unidentified killer with seemingly super-human abilities. One of Barry's later motivations in law enforcement and crime-fighting is finding the truth behind his mother's death.

With the Nora role listed as potentially recurring, it seems likely that there is more to the murder story than a simple case of wrong-place-at-the-wrong-time.

Introduced in two episodes of "Arrow" in December, "The Flash" has since become a high-profile pilot project for The CW. It will likely air in the fall of 2014 if picked up to series.

Recently seen in the recurring role of Jessica in "Emily Owens M.D.,...

Reign Series Premiere: “Pilot” (Season 1, Episode 1)
Historical dramas have become all the rage in the last few years, so when I heard the CW was taking a foray into the now popular genre in their new series, Reign, I was intrigued to say the least.

I love HBO’s Game of Thrones. I like Showtime’s The White Queen. I have the entire first season of Starz’s Da Vinci’s Demons patiently waiting on my DVR. And, I desperately wanted to fall head over heels for CW’s Reign - but after last night’s lackluster debut, I might have to reconsider my position.

The CW introduced us to a virtually unknown cast in the series premiere of Reign last night. There was only one face that comes to mind that viewers may have immediately recognized, Teen Wolf‘s Adelaide Kane. Kane joined the hit MTV show this past season as a mostly peripheral character...

Know Your Gummers: Mamie and Grace

If you can't tell Meryl Streep's daughters apart, it's not your fault. You're not alone! Two thirds of the talented Gummer clan (who go by the surname of their father, sculptor Don Gummer) have been popping up regularly on TV and the movies, not to mention in theater, and while it's easy to point at a screen and knowingly say, "That's Meryl Streep's daughter," it's no great accomplishment if you can't take it to the next level and say whether it's Mamie or Grace. Two More Recurring Guest Stars and More Storyline Hints for Haven Season 4
Haven Season 4 is coming to wrap itself around us in all its creepy mysterious gorgeous Nova Scotia-posing-as-New England goodness, and I am So Ready. They’ve even made it easy to remember the premiere date: Friday the 13th of next month.

With so many shows, new characters can be disruptive, but the casting in this series has always been impeccable, and seamless with the writing and the collective excellence of the show. And no matter how hard they try, and sometimes they do try, guest stars seem to never be able to permanently break up my favorite love/buddy triangle of Audrey, Nathan, and Duke.

Revenge Tags Smallville’s Justin Hartley as Victoria’s Long-Lost Son
When Revenge concluded its second season, it left us with a thrilling cliffhanger: Victoria Grayson’s long-lost son Patrick turned up on her doorstep. Now, we never saw his face, but that was only because the actor who would portray him in Season 3 hadn’t been cast yet, but that’s all over now. Justin Harley (Smallville, Emily Owens M.D.) has snagged the pivotal role that will leave the Hamptons a real mess. As sure as it is that Patrick will shake things up for everyone, I’m more interested in the smaller picture of how Patrick will affect Victoria and the other Graysons.

According to E! Online, Harltey’s signed on for a multiple-episode arc, beginning with the Season 3 premiere. His sudden appearance on the Graysons’ doorstep shocked Victoria so much she dropped and shattered the glass she was holding. Why would that be? Well, for starters, Victoria had...

'Revenge' casts Justin Hartley as Victoria's long-lost son
"Revenge" has made a big casting decision for Season 3. Justin Hartley will play Patrick, the long-lost son that Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) gave up for adoption as a teenager. Hartley will make his first appearance in the Season 3 premiere.

According to a report from E!Online, Hartley will appear as Patrick in multiple episodes of the upcoming season. His arrival should offset the abrupt losses of former regulars Ashley Madekwe (whose absence will presumably be explained at some point) and Connor Paolo (whose character, Declan, died).

In case you don't remember the saga of Patrick, he was the son Victoria gave up when she had a shot at art school in Paris. Since she was an essentially homeless teenager at the time, Victoria couldn't exactly take the baby with her. There were hints that Patrick had already found Victoria in the past but had been paid millions to stay away.

Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp in Revenge (2011)
Introducing ... Victoria's Son On 'Revenge'
Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp in Revenge (2011)
Big news, "Revenge" fans: Victoria Grayson's (Madeleine Stowe) firstborn son has been revealed!

E! News was the first to report that Justin Hartley -- who recently played medical intern Will Collins on The CW's departed "Emily Owens M.D." and who was Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on "Smallville" before Stephen Amell gave the character new life -- has been cast as Patrick, the long lost son that 16-year-old Victoria gave to a nun when he was only 6 months old so that she could attend art school in Paris.

An ABC spokesperson has confirmed Hartley's casting to The Huffington Post.

Patrick was technically introduced in "Revenge's" Season 2 finale in May when Victoria opened her front door and dropped her glass of red wine at the sight of Patrick (whose back was turned to the camera). "Revenge" fans, who previously only heard his voice say "Hello, Mother," will get to see him...

Revenge Casts CW Stud as Victoria's Son
Justin Hartley
Victoria’s long-lost son on Revenge finally has a face, and it’s a pretty one at that.

CW staple Justin Hartley (Smallville, Emily Owens M.D.) has landed the pivotal role of Patrick and will debut in the show’s Season 3 premiere, TVLine has confirmed.

The news was first reported by E! Online.

Victoria finally came face-to-face with her estranged spawn in the closing minutes of May’s finale, although viewers only heard his voice (via a cheesy temp off screen voice).

Justin Hartley Cast on Revenge as ...
Justin Harley has been cast on Revenge in a crucial role, and multi-episode arc, this fall.

We'll meet him in the Revenge Season 3 premiere as Patrick, Victoria's long lost son.

The Revenge Season 2 finale ended with a bang as Patrick appeared at the Graysons' door. We never saw his face, but the mere sight of him shocked Victoria to the point where her glass shattered on the floor.

Revenge fans don't know much about Patrick, but we do know Vicki gave birth to him at 16 and then gave him away to a nun when he was only six months old so that she could attend art school in Paris.

When Patrick started looking for Victoria, she handled it like you'd expect, paying him $5 million to disappear. Guess that didn't take, because after teasing us at length, the show dropped the bombshell in May.

ABC previously confirmed that Ashley Madekwe (Ashley...

The AfterEllen Huddle: Which 2013 TV cancellation hurt the most?
Tags: AfterEllen HuddleGo OnBomb GirlsHappy EndingsSmashUp All NightIMDb

Most major networks have now unveiled their primetime TV schedules for fall, which means they've also announced the shows they've canned. For this week's Huddle, we asked our AfterEllen team which 2013 cancellation hurt the most.

Dorothy Snarker: Go On! I want Julie White's character Anne to be moved wholesale to another show. Comedy, drama, crime procedural - I will take it.

Bridget McManus: Happy Endings. I find that show to be so weird and so fulfilling at the same time.

Valerie Anne: Bomb Girls. I miss The Adventures of Princess and Betts already. I still can't bring myself to watch the last episode because it's the Last Episode. It hurts too much. I also haven't watched the last episode of Emily Owens M.D. and probably won't until Mamie Gummer is safely back on my television again. (As a lesbian, no less!

New 2013 TV Season Breakdown: The CW
The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fifth and final one announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on The CW.

After targeting teen girls for so long, The CW has widened their demographic focus and in the process have improved their fortunes with three of their five new shows from last year returning. One in particular, "Arrow," has been a big hit for them. As a result this year's line-up sticks heavily with genre fare - sci-fi, supernatural, and even a period piece.

The network's troubled "Nikita" has scored a six episode third season order to wrap up its story lines, no word on when those episodes will air just yet. In fact, specific premiere dates for all their shows have yet to be set.

Several other pilots didn't make the...

Ratings: Will 'The Carrie Diaries' Be Renewed For Season 2?
While more than a million viewed last night's season finale of The Carrie Diaries, only time will tell if that was enough to turn the series' fortunes around. With last night's numbers--a 0.4 in the 18-49 demo with 1.07 million total--aren't doing much to drastically alter the tides, there are a few reasons why the show could be saved after all. We take a look at two reasons why Carrie, Sebastian and company could be doomed, and two more points to consider that could save the show.

Interview: Brendan Dooling Talks The Carrie Diaries Season 2

Why it could be canceled

It's now the network's lowest-rated non-Friday series. If you don't count 90210, already ending at the end of the season, then the weakest non-Friday show on The CW's roster is, unfortunately, The Carrie Diaries. For all the crticism people toss at Beauty and the Beast while praising Carrie and her campy friends, Beast...

Morning Brew - Fri. March 22: Mamie Gummer will play a lesbian cop, Brandi Carlile on "Jimmy Fallon"
Tags: Morning BrewBrandi CarlileFortune FeimsterAfter LatelyMamie GummerBackstromTammy BaldwinDestin HolmesIMDb

Happy Friday!

Let's start with the best news. Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer is following in mom's footsteps by playing a lesbian, and I can't fucking wait. Emily Owens M.D. didn't get picked up for a second season, but that is only Ok because now Mamie will be on CBS' drama Backstrom playing "the female lead Nicole Graveley, a watchful, competent police detective who is a lesbian saddened over her breakup with her longtime partner." Her co-star is Rainn Wilson, who will play "Everett Backstrom, an overweight, offensive, irascible detective, as he tries, and fails, to change his self-destructive behavior." Sounds great already!

Oh Canada! The country has a network called Slice that is home to a show called Golden Gays, about older LGBTs living in Palm Springs. According to the HuffPo, there are "lipstick lesbians, butches, drag queens, authors,...

Ratings Rat Race: ‘Body Of Proof’ Returns But Ties Series Low, ‘Cult’ Debuts Down; ‘Smash’, ‘Go On’ & ‘New Normal’ Hit Lows
Retooled and returning last night for its third season, ABC’s Body Of Proof (1.2/3) did not offer strong ratings evidence Tuesday. The drama was down a cratering 45% from its Season 2 premiere on September 20, 2011 and tied a series low. It was also down 37% from its Season 2 finale in April. Meanwhile, in another debut, The CW’s Cult (0.3/1) premiered at 9 Pm. Opening weak, the new midseason suspense drama attracted about 940,000 viewers and was down from the 1.4/1 who watched the finale of Emily Owens M.D. in the same slot February 5. The second episode of the second season of NBC’s Smash (0.9/2) stumbled again last night, down 25% from its season premiere to a new series low. The Season 2 premiere of the musical drama February 5 was the show’s previous low. Premiering Tonight: Can 'Cult' Save The CW's Freshman Class?
The CW's series roster this year is looking grim--and while that's hard to lament due to the fact that nearly every network has had massive freshman failures (we're especially looking at you, NBC) a sinking veteran in 90210 only adds to the woes of highly pushed series like The Carrie Diaries and Emily Owens M.D. failing to launch. The relatively massive success of Arrow, now the most popular show on the network in pure viewership (while The Vampire Diaries is still number one in the crucial 18-49 demo) can only count for so much: The CW still needs a hit show, and it needs one pretty badly.

So Cult is the network's last chance of the year to concoct a hit, and boy, have they pulled this one out: starring Vampire Diaries alum Matt Davis, the dark thriller Cult is about a TV show named Cult, which airs on The CW,...

Ratings Rat Race: ‘NCIS’ Hits Season High, ‘Go On’ Up, ‘Hart Of Dixie’ Flat
Tuesday’s primetime saw another season high for CBS’ NCIS (3.8/11). With its second-largest viewership ever, the police procedural pulled in 22.34 million viewers last night. That tops last week’s season-high of 21.1 million for the long-running series, though it falls short of the record 22.87 million who watched on February 1, 2011. NCIS also saw its best rating in the adults 18-49 demo since its Season 10 premiere on September 25, growing 9% from last week’s show. NCIS: La (2.7/7), meanwhile, was down from last week’s season high; its 17.48 million viewers marked the series’ second-highest viewership of its season. It also was down 10% week-over-week in the demo. At 10 Pm, Vegas (1.6/4) drew 11.05 million viewers, topping the time slot. For the night, CBS won in total viewers (16.957 million) and the demo.
