Maggie Sajak shared a rare video of her dad, Pat Sajak, after he retired from Wheel of Fortune. The father-daughter duo attended a baseball game at Dodgers Stadium. “Come with me to Opening Day at Dodgers Stadium,” she said in the video as she took a video of herself. “Well, actually, come with us.” Maggie then panned the camera to Pat, who ate from a box of candy and then smiled for the camera. Maggie donned a bright blue shirt, the color of the Dodgers, while Pat had on a black Los Angeles hoodie. This look was drastically different from what he normally wore on the game show. Opening Day for the Dodgers was Thursday, March 27. She shared the video the next day on Instagram. Maggie then shared videos of the players and the 2024 World Series banner being unveiled. Josh Groban sang the National Anthem, fireworks went off, and there was a flyover of planes.

Last year, country musician Ingrid Andress appeared at the 2024 Home Run Derby and delivered one of the all-time worst performances of the National Anthem in television history. Seven months later, the country singer got a chance to redeem herself at a Colorado Avalanche hockey game on Friday night.
This time, instead of making athletes and fans laugh with pitchy moments and drunkenly-embellished vocal runs, Andress delivered an exceedingly normal rendition of the song, holding all the notes for an appropriate length, letting her vibrato ring on the high notes, and even having the audience join her for a brief, patriotic sing-along.
The redemptive moment occurred at an Avalanche hockey game in Andress’ native state, and was captured in a video the singer posted to social media, with the caption “We’re back baby.” Watch the new performance below.

The Philadelphia Eagles are mid-celebration after their 2025 Super Bowl win earlier this month, which means that they could be heading to the White House for a visit.
However, there are conflicting reports about whether or not the NFL team has accepted the invite – or if they’re even going.
Keep reading to find out more…
A new report reveals that the team actually has not been formally invited to the White House yet to celebrate their win.
A source told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the team has not yet received an invitation from President Donald Trump, despite an article in the U.S. Sun that claimed that the Eagles had already turned down a visit before even playing in the Super Bowl.
Outkick.com founder Clay Travis and Front Office Sports also confirmed that this was the case.

Last year, an adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Long Walk (which was, like The Running Man and Thinner, published under the pen name Richard Bachman) went into production, with director Francis Lawrence, whose previous credits include Constantine, I Am Legend, Water for Elephants, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2, Red Sparrow, Slumberland, and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, at the helm. Now, Lawrence has confirmed to the folks at Collider that post-production work on the film is almost complete, and he’s “super happy” with it.
An adaptation of The Long Walk has been trudging through development hell for decades. At one point, the rights were in the hands of Frank Darabont, who made the King adaptations The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist. Updated, with additional comment: Donald Trump continued his takeover of the Kennedy Center today, as he named loyalist Ric Grenell to serve as interim executive director.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I am pleased to announce that Ric Grenell will serve as the Interim Executive Director of The Kennedy Center. Ric shares my Vision for a Golden Age of American Arts and Culture, and will be overseeing the daily operations of the Center. No More Drag Shows, Or Other Anti-american Propaganda — Only The Best. Ric, Welcome To Show Business!”
There is no executive director position at the Kennedy Center. Deborah Rutter currently serves as president of the arts institution, and it is unclear what her status is. In January, she announced plans to step down at the end of the year.
Grenell served as U.S. ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence in Trump’s first administration.

Donald Trump and Taylor Swift were both in attendance at Super Bowl Lix and, by all accounts, had widely different receptions. After being shown on the big screen during Jon Batiste’s performance of the National Anthem, Trump appeared to draw mostly applause. Swift, on the other hand, was loudly jeered by Eagles fans in the crowd.
Trump himself took notice and mocked Swift on his social media platform, Truth Social, including by sharing a meme that read, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – The world is healing!” In another post, he wrote, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got Booed out of the Stadium. Maga is very unforgiving!”

The most anticipated TV crossover event of the year just crossed over once again with Super Bowl Lix.
The stars of Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia showed their support for the Eagles, following the team’s 2018 win, as they arrived via private jet in New Orleans this weekend to watch their home team take on defending champs the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Oh hello New Orleans. #FlyEaglesFly,” It’s Always Sunny star and creator Rob McElhenney captioned a photo with wife and co-star Kaitlin Olson, as well as Abbott‘s Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams. The group posed in front of the plane in their Eagles green.
Brunson and McElhenney previously cheered on the Eagles together in a Sunday Night Football promo in November.
Their latest group trip comes after the first part of their crossover event aired last month with the Season 4 episode ‘Volunteers’ of ABC‘s Brunson-created Abbott Elementary.

You might be surprised to learn that the NFL does not pay any celebrity to perform at the Super Bowl, and this includes halftime show performers, “America the Beautiful” and “National Anthem” singers, and more.
This year, Kendrick Lamar will be taking the stage during the halftime show, with Jon Batiste singing the National Anthem and Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle performing “America the Beautiful.”
Keep reading to find out more…
The NFL confirmed to Forbes, “We do not pay the artists. We cover expenses and production costs.”
“The halftime show at the Super Bowl remains a highly coveted spot for many artists,” entertainment attorney Lori Landew told Forbes. “Some of those artists do not see their appearance as a political statement, nor do they see the show as a cultural battleground, but rather view their live performance as an opportunity to entertain an enthusiastic crowd and to share their...

The swearing in of the 47th president of the United States took place inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda because of winter temperatures, as opposed to outdoors on the traditional “west front” of the building, which was besieged by a violent mob of Trump supporters, on Jan. 6, 2021.

The wildfire storm raging in Los Angeles County forced the Los Angeles Rams to relocate Monday’s Wild Card playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings to the the Glendale, Ariz., stadium where the Arizona Cardinals play. But the emotion spurred by the devastation in the Rams’ hometown was front and center before the kickoff at the game carried live by ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”
Rams players including Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Matthew Stafford and coach Sean McVay wore special “Lafd” T-shirts designed with the Rams’ logo before the game began. Rams’ hero Andrew Whitworth, the retired offensive lineman who helped lead the team to victory at the 2021 Super Bowl, addressed the crowd at State Farm Stadium with a rally cry for the disaster-scarred city.
“We are strong. We will not be defined by this devastation. We will rebuild L.A., hand in hand together for as long as it takes and whatever it takes.

Netflix has been amping up its live coverage in 2024, and to wrap up the year, the streaming service will air the two National Football League (NFL) Christmas Day games. From reality dating show reunions to the infamous Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, Netflix has broadcast various live events. Now, the platform will add two NFL games to its roster. Both matchups are sure to bring in a lot of traffic, though, and hopefully, the streaming company will be more prepared for the massive influx of viewers than it was for the disastrous Netflix's Love Is Blind season 4 reunion.
In 2023, three NFL games were played on Christmas Day — Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs (the Raiders won 20–14), New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles (the Eagles won 25–33), and Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers (the Ravens won 33–19).

When it comes to sci-fi anthology series, few are as thought-provoking as Black Mirror. It began on Britain's Channel 4, but is now a Netflix series. Writer, Charlie Brooker, is capitalizing on a bigger global audience to chart his dystopian stories about how science, war, magic and other things affect humanity.
Interestingly, there are some Black Mirror episodes that could thrive outside the one-hour TV limitation and succeed better as feature films. Here is a breakdown of the Black Mirror stories that could find longer legs as cinematic masterpieces.

As Martin Scorsese once said, “Music and cinema fit together naturally. Because there’s a kind of intrinsic musicality to the way moving images work when they’re put together. It’s been said that cinema and music are very close as art forms, and I think that’s true.” The right piece of music––whether an original score or a carefully selected song––can do wonders for a sequence, and today we’re looking at the 25 films that best expressed that notion in 2024.

The 2024 edition of the Kennedy Center Honors celebrated an eclectic assortment of entertainers Sunday night: filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, singer Bonnie Raitt, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and surviving members of the Grateful Dead. The organization also bestowed its honor on an entertainment venue for the first time, New York’s iconic Apollo Theater.
As per tradition, the honorees observed the proceedings from the presidential box in the Kennedy Center Opera House, accompanied by President Joe Biden, first lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and First Husband Doug Emhoff. Freshly arrived from a White House reception, all received rousing ovations from an appreciative audience when introduced.
That White House tradition could go on hiatus during the incoming Trump administration, since Donald Trump notably declined to participate in the affair during his first presidency. Nonetheless, invitations will be extended by the rigidly nonpartisan arts institution, the Kencen assures.
Slated to air on CBS Dec.

Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes, two of the greatest global actors of their generation or any, stage an “English Patient” reunion with Uberto Pasolini’s stately and somber “The Return.” The epic film, shot in Greece and Italy last year, retells Homer’s classic and oft-recycled epic “Odyssey” through a stripped-down lens that frames the story of Odysseus (Fiennes), Penelope (Binoche), and their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer) as a tale without gods and monsters and instead more of a dysfunctional family narrative. What’s lost is the heat and swashbuckling adventure of the original tale, a humanist turn that finds Odysseus at the end of his mortal coil, Fiennes at first haggard, awash naked on the shores of Ithaca after a shipwreck has left him unmoored and divorced from his former kingdom. The actors are prime, but the movie is a solemn affair that could use more grandeur.

Good Morning America may have a replacement for Michael Strahan if Denzel Washington gets his way.
The two-time Oscar winner appeared as a guest on the show and claimed he was replacing the retired football star.
Denzel’s remarks arrived over a week after Strahan received backlash from a controversial televised moment during a Fox NFL Sunday special.
Many of the program’s viewers called Strahan “disrespectful” for standing during the National Anthem without his hand over his heart, while his Fox co-stars all did so.
He’s since returned to Fox and GMA, following an explanation video live on his official Instagram.
However, that didn’t stop Denzel from telling Strahan he was “finished” after “one more show.”

Michael Strahan appeared in his regular spot on the Fox NFL Sunday show following his controversial moment on last week’s show.
As Monsters and Critics reported, he returned to Good Morning America on Tuesday, but his co-star Robin Roberts was absent.
He continued to appear on GMA for the Wednesday and Thursday episodes before missing Friday, likely due to travel to the West Coast.
His return to Fox NFL Sunday arrived after Strahan’s controversial TV moment during a special Veterans Day tribute show with his colleagues on November 10 at Naval Base San Diego.
Strahan’s colleagues stood with their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem. However, Strahan stood with his hands below his waist and one gripping his opposite arm.
Many viewers blasted the former New York Giants star for the controversial TV moment, indicating he needed to apologize on air or that they were boycotting the Fox show.

Earlier this year, an adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Long Walk (which was, like The Running Man and Thinner, published under the pen name Richard Bachman) went into production, with director Francis Lawrence, whose previous credits include Constantine, I Am Legend, Water for Elephants, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2, Red Sparrow, Slumberland, and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, at the helm. Now, cast member Judy Greer (the Halloween and Ant-Man franchises) has said that the film Lawrence has made out of King’s story is beautiful and dark.
An adaptation of The Long Walk has been trudging through development hell for decades. At one point, the rights were in the hands of Frank Darabont, who made the King adaptations The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist. Then the rights passed over to New Line Cinema, where...
