This time, instead of making athletes and fans laugh with pitchy moments and drunkenly-embellished vocal runs, Andress delivered an exceedingly normal rendition of the song, holding all the notes for an appropriate length, letting her vibrato ring on the high notes, and even having the audience join her for a brief, patriotic sing-along.

A new report reveals that the team actually has not been formally invited to the White House yet to celebrate their win.

A source told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the team has not yet received an invitation from President Donald Trump, despite an article in the U.S. Sun that claimed that the Eagles had already turned down a visit before even playing in the Super Bowl.

Outkick.com founder Clay Travis and Front Office Sports also confirmed that this was the case.

Mubi’s body-horror movie The Substance won a leading five trophies, including Film of the Year, Demi Moore (Best Lead Performance), and Coralie Fargeat (Best Director), while Universal’s film adaptation of the Wicked musical claimed honors for Ariana Grande (Best Supporting Performance), Cynthia Erivo (Lgbtqia+ Film Trailblazer), and Jonathan Bailey (Rising Star).

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I am pleased to announce that Ric Grenell will serve as the Interim Executive Director of The Kennedy Center. Ric shares my Vision for a Golden Age of American Arts and Culture, and will be overseeing the daily operations of the Center. No More Drag Shows, Or Other Anti-american Propaganda — Only The Best. There is no executive director position at the Kennedy Center. Deborah Rutter currently serves as president of the arts institution, and it is unclear what her status is. In January, she announced plans to step down at the end of the year.

Grenell served as U.S. ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence in Trump’s first administration.

Donald Trump and Taylor Swift were both in attendance at Super Bowl Lix and, by all accounts, had widely different receptions. After being shown on the big screen during Jon Batiste’s performance of the National Anthem, Trump appeared to draw mostly applause. Swift, on the other hand, was loudly jeered by Eagles fans in the crowd.

Trump himself took notice and mocked Swift on his social media platform, Truth Social, including by sharing a meme that read, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – The world is healing!” In another post, he wrote, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off again after meeting up in the big game two years ago, when the Chiefs prevailed in a nail-biter that ended in a score of 38-35.

Accompanying himself on the piano, Batiste’s performance was a highlight of the pregame entertainment. The We Are singer wore a Paul Smith suit for the occasion, opting for the black Soho tailored-fit wool “A Suit to Travel In” with a black tailored-fit cotton “Artist Stripe” cuff shirt and black “Signature Stripe” socks.

Ledisi took to the field at Super Bowl Lix on Sunday to deliver a powerful performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Ledisi, a New Orleans native, was joined during the pregame portion of the game by 125 youth choir members from the Greater New Orleans High School Chorale Collective to perform the song in honor of its 125th anniversary.

The song, which is referred to as “The Black National Anthem,” was written in 1900 by NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson as a poem, with music by his brother, John Rosamond Johnson, according to the NAACP website. The song was first performed that year by a choir of 500 schoolchildren at a segregated school in Florida where James Weldon Johnson served as principal. That performance also was part of a celebration of President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.

“Oh hello New Orleans. #FlyEaglesFly,” It’s Always Sunny star and creator Rob McElhenney captioned a photo with wife and co-star Kaitlin Olson, as well as Abbott‘s Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams. The group posed in front of the plane in their Eagles green.

The wildfire storm raging in Los Angeles County forced the Los Angeles Rams to relocate Monday’s Wild Card playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings to the the Glendale, Ariz., stadium where the Arizona Cardinals play. But the emotion spurred by the devastation in the Rams’ hometown was front and center before the kickoff at the game carried live by ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”

Rams players including Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Matthew Stafford and coach Sean McVay wore special “Lafd” T-shirts designed with the Rams’ logo before the game began. The 2024 edition of the Kennedy Center Honors celebrated an eclectic assortment of entertainers Sunday night: filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, singer Bonnie Raitt, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and surviving members of the Grateful Dead. Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes, two of the greatest global actors of their generation or any, stage an “English Patient” reunion with Uberto Pasolini’s stately and somber “The Return.” The epic film, shot in Greece and Italy last year, retells Homer’s classic and oft-recycled epic “Odyssey” through a stripped-down lens that frames the story of Odysseus (Fiennes), Penelope (Binoche), and their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer) as a tale without gods and monsters and instead more of a dysfunctional family narrative. What’s lost is the heat and swashbuckling adventure of the original tale, a humanist turn that finds Odysseus at the end of his mortal coil, Fiennes at first haggard, awash naked on the shores of Ithaca after a shipwreck has left him unmoored and divorced from his former kingdom. The actors are prime, but the movie is a solemn affair that could use more grandeur.

Good Morning America may have a replacement for Michael Strahan if Denzel Washington gets his way.

The two-time Oscar winner appeared as a guest on the show and claimed he was replacing the retired football star.

Denzel’s remarks arrived over a week after Strahan received backlash from a controversial televised moment during a Fox NFL Sunday special.

Many of the program’s viewers called Strahan “disrespectful” for standing during the National Anthem without his hand over his heart, while his Fox co-stars all did so.

He’s since returned to Fox and GMA, following an explanation video live on his official Instagram.

However, that didn’t stop Denzel from telling Strahan he was “finished” after “one more show.”

As Monsters and Critics reported, he returned to Good Morning America on Tuesday, but his co-star Robin Roberts was absent.

He continued to appear on GMA for the Wednesday and Thursday episodes before missing Friday, likely due to travel to the West Coast.

His return to Fox NFL Sunday arrived after Strahan’s controversial TV moment during a special Veterans Day tribute show with his colleagues on November 10 at Naval Base San Diego.

Strahan’s colleagues stood with their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem. However, Strahan stood with his hands below his waist and one gripping his opposite arm.

Many viewers blasted the former New York Giants star for the controversial TV moment, indicating he needed to apologize on air or that they were boycotting the Fox show.

The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson boxing match was a much-talked about, highly-anticipated event for fans!
