A must watch

This series has a bit of a DARK vibe to it, which makes it a must-watch for fans of the German show. While it doesn't go as deep as DARK, it's certainly not an inferior series.

I don't understand the relatively low rating for this show. Personally, I would give it an 8. The storyline is incredibly well thought out and brilliantly acted.

Episode after episode, I tried to piece together the mystery myself, but the show kept me guessing until the final 2 episodes. It has a very dark atmosphere, and I was truly impressed by the production quality-especially for a Belgian series.

There are some minor flaws, such as a real estate agent with a questionable French accent and a finale that felt a bit rushed, or the mix of flemish accents in the french part of Belgium. However, overall, this is a gripping thriller with a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Definitely worth watching! I really hope there will be a second season. (Proud Belgian!)

Incredible

As a Belgian, I rarely watch Belgian or Dutch-language series, but the plot of this show immediately caught my attention. From the moment I read about it, I saw the potential and patiently waited for a month for the first episode to air.

When I watched the first episode, I was immediately impressed by the production quality. I don't know if the budget is high, but it certainly makes it look that way. The visuals are stunning, and the music is expertly chosen to create suspense. The dialogue is, for the most part, engaging and well-written, and the science behind the story is both fascinating and thoughtfully developed.

Now that I'm five episodes in, I really like how the show gradually reveals what's happening. Each episode leaves you guessing, adding new layers of information that slowly piece the story together. In this sense, it strongly reminds me of "Dark".

The actors are also good. The German-speaking actors are exceptional in my opinion. I do find it a bit harder to connect with the Dutch-speaking cast-likely because I've always found it odd to watch Flemish speaking actors act-but even so, I think the acting here is really solid overall.

In summary, I'm genuinely surprised by how polished and intelligent this production feels. It has the same level of darkness and complexity as "Dark", which is a major compliment. And it also doesn't shy away from real shock and graphic moments. While some moments may feel a little slow, they feel perfectly balanced by dialogue that is filled with a lot information and insight.

The thing that impressed me the most is the story. I decided to watch it purely because I found the plot intriguing when I read about it before it aired. After watching five episodes, it has definitely exceeded my expectations. It is both intelligently directed and brilliantly written..

I would highly recommend this series to everyone.

Even if you don't speak the language, subtitles make it accessible and well worth the watch!

Terrible

Although the idea of the time capsule and dead list is original and creates a lot of opportunities, I was not satisfied watching this. It's an illusion to think that complicated stories will lead to quality. They could have kept it simpler but more profound.

Better watch Elixer... many common elements but far better casting, acting and more coherent storyline. The Flemish characters speaking poor French to each other for instance, kills the magic and makes it unnatural and implausible. The story develops too slowly and made me want to give up many times. I finished it, waiting for maybe something to make sense at the end.
