10 Fastest Knockouts in Ufc History (Videos)
Ironically, the shorter the fight due to a knockout, the greater the value for ticket money when it comes to Ufc knockouts.

It’s pretty amazing to watch a fight conclude after a few short seconds.

The Ultimate Fighting Championships have seen some of the ugliest and fastest knockouts. While some are slow and painful to watch, others have been swift and devastating, so sudden that the match only lasts a few minutes.

For most spectators, the faster a knockout happens, the more thrilling the match is. Ufc events happen every so often, so the record for the fastest knockout is hardly held for long.

Fighters get to redeem themselves when they lose in the shortest bouts while the winners set new records.

The fastest knockouts have not been consistently happening each year. Some date back almost seven years ago. Here’s a list of some of the greatest knockouts in the history of Ufc.

Cm Punk Back Injury Ruins His Ufc Debut
wwe.com / wikimedia

Cm Punk is to undergo back surgery today to treat a herniated disc, MMAFighting.com are reporting.

This is just days after Ufc confirmed his first fight would be against Mickey Gall in the coming months, likely at Ufc 199 or 200. That fight is now off, with Punk likely to be out for at least a month or two.

That sort of recovery time means he should still fight later in 2016, with the normal fight camp lasting for around three months. “This is just a bump in the road,” he told MMAFighting. “I’m positive about this.”

The surgery will take place in Chicago, and is targeting a herniated disc. Punk had figured it was an old WWE injury, and says that’s what it turned out it was. He’s been in agony with it, which makes you wonder why he showed up to Ufc On Fox...

5 Predictions For Ufc On Fox 18: Johnson Vs. Bader
Ufc

Just one week after putting on a free bantamweight title fight at Ufc Fight Night 81 that saw Dominick Cruz successfully reclaim the title he was stripped of years earlier, the Ufc is back with Ufc on Fox 18, featuring a light heavyweight title eliminator between former challenger Anthony Johnson, and the underrated Ryan Bader.

While there is no title fight on the Ufc on Fox 18 card, there are plenty of big match-ups to be found: the network TV debut of surging young star Sage Northcutt, who at 19 is the Ufc’s youngest active fighter, a heavyweight clash of titans with title fight implications, and the aforementioned light heavyweight title eliminator, the winner of which will face the victor of Jones vs. Cormier 2. In short, there’s a lot of action, once again, on a free card.

The biggest questions will concern the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions, of course. Can...

5 Bizarre Incidents At Ufc On Fox 13
Ufc

Ufc on Fox 13: Dos Santos vs. Miocic was a card that went pretty much according to plan Saturday night. It was one of the biggest free cards of the year, and we’re not just talking about the fact that the main card had three heavyweight bouts on it. It was star-studded, with names like Dos Santos, Diaz, Dos Anjos, Gonzaga, Overeem, Struve and others all putting in appearances.

As mentioned, however, it all went according to plan. When it came to results, at least on the main card, there were little to no surprises. In fact, we went four for four on our predictions, even getting the rounds right.

Despite the fact that the results were anything but surprising, there was some… weirdness to go down at Ufc on Fox 13. In fact, heading into the main card, it had already come off as one of the strangest...

4 Main Card Predictions For Ufc On Fox 13
Ufc

There are two big Ufc events coming your way this weekend, and the second of them (we’ll cover more on the Tuf 20 finale once the fights are set following the final episode of the show) features the return to action of former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos, lightweight Nate Diaz, and long-absent Stefan Struve.

This is a big card for a Fox event, and if they don’t totally kill it with too many commercial breaks, it should be a pretty exciting one. That said, it could also be a very short event, with the three heavyweight bouts on the card all capable of ending in a quick knockout. Should that happen, the Ufc may be looking to bump up a fight from the preliminary card onto the main broadcast as a reply to fill time – and luckily, there are enough decent fights on the prelims for this to be doable.

Ufc On FX: Belfort vs Bisping Podcast Preview
A spectacular card concluded in Sao Paolo, Brazil this past weekend with the Ufc on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping. Despite a title shot looming with a win, Michael “The Count” Bisping (23-5) fell in astonishing fashion with a devastating head kick by Vitor Belfort (22-10) in the second round. This was the 15th knockout of Vitor’s illustrious and storied career.

Together with English Thom Burton we cover all of the action in our Getting Lucky Mma Podcast.

Part 1: The Prelims

Part 2: The Main Card

Event Summary (E019): The Facebook card kicked off with a Tuf Brazil alumnus, Francisco Trinaldo aka Massaranduba (12-2) dominating an over-matched and over-weight C. J. Keith (8-2). Trinaldo had the advantage in power and grappling as was evident with his two first round slams ending in a arm triangle in Round 1. C. J. Keith, coming off of two straight losses and missing weight by +1.5 pounds,...

10 Things to Watch for on Ufc on Fox
Ufc on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz is clearly the best Fox from top to bottom card thus far offered up by Joe Silva and the Ufc. To be sure, the dreaded injury bug has inevitably hit – canceling some fights and shuffling the undercard, but the matches on the main card have remained largely unaffected. Dana White can un-pucker. Barring any last minute drama, this one is going to be a winner.

Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson (#1) makes his second title defense against red hot Nate Diaz (#5) after dethroning and defending against newly christened featherweight contender, Frankie Edgar. The rest of the main card features Shogun Rua (#4) against Alexander Gustafsson (#7) , an un-retired Bj Penn against rising star Rory MacDonald, and finally injury-free Mick Swick against Matt Brown.

Don’t sleep through the under card, either. There are some really important fights in shaping the title picture for their respective division as well...
