Gwyneth Paltrow is explaining how she famously “forgot” she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Gwyneth has been a part of the MCU for decades, portraying Pepper Potts in the Iron Man and Avengers films.
If you don’t remember, back in 2019, she appeared on her Iron Man co-star Jon Favreau‘s series The Chef Show alongside celebrity chef Roy Choi.
“Remember we were in Spider-Man?” Jon said.
“We’re weren’t in Spider-Man,” she responded.
“Yes, we were… You were in Spider-Man,” he argued, with Roy adding “Homecoming.”
“No…I was in Avengers,” she went on to say. The exchange continued for a while until she finally realized she was, in fact, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Now, she’s explaining how that possibly could happen.

Marvel Studios' next MCU movie, Thunderbolts*, arrives in theaters in less than two months, and promotion is starting to kick up a few gears.
Following a new "A24-style" teaser and some Empire Magazine covers and stills, we have a new banner featuring the team of misfit heroes along with a Mike and Ike tie-in advert.
We're not sure if the promo includes any new footage (there might be one shot of "Bob" and some new dialogue), but we will likely get a final trailer for the movie over the next few weeks when tickets go on sale.
A lot of fans have (understandably) compared Thunderbolts* to DC's Suicide Squad, but director Jake Schreier - who was previously in the running to helm both Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man: Homecoming - believes audiences will be surprised by how different his movie is .

Gwyneth Paltrow participated in a career retrospective video interview with Vanity Fair and was shocked to discover that she has played Pepper Potts in seven Marvel movies. Watching a clip from 2008’s “Iron Man,” which kicked off the MCU, Paltrow remarked: “It’s not a great wig, guys. Let’s face it.”
“We had so much fun on this movie. It felt like an independent movie,” Paltrow said. “Jon [Favreau], Robert [Downey Jr.] and I improvised all day every day. There was a lot of rewriting. We’d go to Jon’s trailer in the morning and the three of us would improv. It’s not typical to do that on a big-budget action movie. Jon was so brilliant and he wanted it to feel like it had a reality to it and that it was character-based.”

Pepper Potts actor Gwyneth Paltrow looks back on her seven-movie MCU journey. Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts is one of the first characters ever introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Pepper made her MCU debut in Iron Man, after which she appeared in Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Notably, Pepper Potts fought Aldrich Killain in Iron Man 3's final battle, and she participated in Avengers: Endgame's crowded final battle wearing her Rescue battle armor, designed by Tony Stark.
When asked about her experience playing Pepper Potts in seven MCU movies by Vanity Fair, Gwyneth Paltrow was shocked to hear she played the same MCU character in so many movies. When asked whether Pepper Potts appears in Captain America: Brave New World, Paltrow said, "What is that?". Paltrow also joked that she doesn't know if she'll appear in any upcoming movies,...

Last year, Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) finally, after years of development and a long year gap between sequels, made its way through production. Franchise producer Craig Perry previously let it be known that the film was aiming for a theatrical release in 2025, in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. It will even be on IMAX screens! It was recently confirmed that Final Destination: Bloodlines is set to reach theatres on May 16, 2025, and the teaser trailer, embedded above, dropped online last month. Now, a short clip from the film has made its way online, having been unveiled by our friends at Bloody Disgusting. The clip is only 12 seconds long, but it gives the first look at the characters played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, and Rya Kihlstedt, and features a logging truck cameo. You can...

Spoiler Alert !!!This article has spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil: Born Again has the fandom split on multiple things. To begin with, some are on board with the death that occurred in the first episode, and others just cannot accept that it is the case. Further, Karen’s early exit from the show also has people miffed, but others are happy that the show is delivering on the stakes that it is creating.

There is one thing that is also bothering a few fans, which has been a mainstay of the Dinsey+ era of Marvel TV shows. Daredevil: Born Again, and other shows in the MCU’s Disney+ roster, all seem to be shot in a distinct manner that makes it feel like a film. The absence of a distinctly home-friendly aspect ratio might be something that takes away from the show’s overall feel and texture.

The Avengers were once a big symbol of hope in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and not just figuratively. Standing in the middle of New York City was the Avengers Tower: A big structure that served to remind bad guys that they weren't over anyone's head. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when the Sokovia Accords were ratified and Earth's Mightiest Heroes fought against each other leading to their disbanding.
Much to everyone's surprise, it was revealed that Tony Stark sold the Avengers Tower during the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming — a decision that marked the end of the heroes' era. That was all the way back in 2017, and we've all had the same question in mind since then: Who is the new owner of this iconic skyscraper?
Theories grew rampant as many supposed that Reed Richards was turning this structure into the Baxter Building, or that Wilson Fisk was behind the whole thing. However,...

Captain America: Brave New World has been and gone, and all eyes are now on what Marvel Studios delivers with Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The former arrives in May and a new "Please Silence Your Phones" PSA is currently playing in theaters. Unlike the one used to promote Deadpool & Wolverine, this only features footage from the movie itself but it's almost all new and includes some small reveals.
Chief among them is the fact that the limousine shown in trailers is what Red Guardian is using for his day job as a chauffeur. It also appears as if the team will be the subject of some sort of sonic attack when they arrive in the facility "Bob" (a.k.a. The Sentry) is contained in when the movie begins.
During a recent interview with Empire, Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier weighed in on the movie being compared to Suicide Squad.

The Spider-Verse is set to grow even more, and while Sony’s Spider-Man Universe has seemingly gone down in flames with the box office bombing of Kraven the Hunter, the Marvel Cinematic Universe still has big plans for Web-Head. Aside from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Destin Daniel Cretton heading up Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man standalone, there’s the delayed Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse alongside rumors that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire could return for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Given that the events of the Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man led directly into 2015’s Secret Wars, which then led to the Ultimate Universe being folded into ‘main’ Marvel continuity with Miles Morales in tow, there are questions about whether this will play out in the MCU. There’s already plenty of talk about a supposed ‘reset’ following Secret Wars, and even though it’s only a matter of...

However, dealing with the high stakes life of an actor often comes with its downside. Especially for people who have admitted to having struggled with the same previously, as Tom Holland and Timothée Chalamet have admitted to.
Incidentally, what can help make them feel more at ease is an interview of Johnny Depp where he admitted his struggles with fame during his early days in Hollywood after being labeled as a s*x symbol.

Brian McGreevy is the author who wrote the novel Hemlock Grove, then worked with Lee Shipman and Eli Roth to develop the concept into a television series that ran on the Netflix streaming service for three seasons and a total of 33 episodes. McGreevy went on to co-create the Western TV series The Son, which ran on AMC for two seasons, a total of 20 episodes. Now, Deadline reports that McGreevy is set to make his feature directorial debut with a psychological thriller called The Technique – and he has assembled a solid cast to bring the story’s characters to life. That cast includes Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone), Emma Roberts (American Horror Story), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), Ben Platt (Theater Camp), Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

Earlier this week, we learned that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Spider-Man 4. Given her red hair, it didn't take long for fans (and scoopers) to speculate that she might be playing everyone from Jean Grey to Firestar and Mary Jane Watson.
However, a new report from Jeff Sneider claims Sink will play the latter, meaning the Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon have the "real" Mj. That seems problematic on several levels, not least because it diminishes the work done by Zendaya as Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home's Michelle Jones Watson.
There is one way to make this work, though.
With Spider-Man 4 set to be released between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it will almost certainly be a Multiversal tale. In fact, if Doomsday ends with the creation of Battleworld, chances are that's where Peter Parker's...

Spider-Man’s first Marvel Studios movie was aptly named Spider-Man: Homecoming because that’s exactly what it felt like. While popular Marvel characters like Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, and Iron Man were all in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Peter Parker was still under the Sony umbrella. That meant he couldn't be in any of the Disney/Marvel projects, ruling him out of the MCU. That is, until Sony and Marvel made a deal to bring the webslinger to the legendary franchise.
Eventually, Tom Holland was cast as The Amazing Spider-Man as he joined the MCU. With it came a host of iconic Spidey villains like The Vulture, Electro, and the Shocker. We haven’t seen the latter since Homecoming, but it sounds like he could be back in the not-too-distant future.

Earlier this week, the news broke that Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Marvel Studios' Spider-Man 4. Despite initial reports about the Stranger Things star suiting up as Jean Grey, we've since heard she's playing Mary Jane Watson.
Spider-Man: Homecoming introduced Zendaya's Mj, with Spider-Man: No Way Home revealing that her full name is Michelle Jones Watson. Throwing the "real" Mj into the mix is an intriguing decision and one that's drawn a mixed response from fans.
Taking to Instagram, Sink has broken her silence on her reported casting by sharing an X post from a fan who jokingly suggested that she'll play Spider-Man 4's Uncle Ben.
You shouldn't need us to tell you that Sink is kidding but it seems highly doubtful she would comment on the news in any way unless she has actually boarded the long-awaited movie.

Since it was announced yesterday that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink had joined the cast of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' upcoming Spider-Man 4 in a "significant" role, speculation has been running rampant on who she might play, with the early favorites being Spidey mainstays Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, or Angelica Jones.
While it may be a while before we get any sort official reveal from the studios, Jeff Sneider, during tonight's installment of The Hot Mic with Jeff Sneider and John Rocha, has seemingly revealed her role and it seems as though she will indeed be playing Mary Jane Watson.

There are fewer spectacles more worthy of the big screen than those which come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The sheer scale and grandeur of the MCU films have captivated audiences for the better part of two decades, bringing the most ambitious events from the pages of the Marvel Comics to life in thrilling sequences, complete with non-stop action and impressive visuals.
An MCU film manages to captivate you completely with its world and characters. For a moment, you forget that people can't really turn big and green or summon a magical hammer with the power to control thunder. The superhero fantasy is brought to life ever so slightly, and everything seems so real... until a bad CGI moment comes and completely takes you out of the experience.
More and more of these immersion-breaking scenes made their way onto the big screen (and the small one too!) as the MCU grew over the years.

It’s been nine years since Zendaya officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Michelle “Mj” Jones in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Her debut was met with mixed reactions from fans, and some of them were racially charged. Of course, the actress did not let her haters put her down—she even dealt with one humorously!

Zendaya starred alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, and despite the star previously claiming her character was not a romantic interest, Mj ended up sharing a relationship with our superhero.

Zendaya faced casting backlash in 2016 after Marvel and Sony announced that she would play Mj in Jon Watt’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. The character is originally depicted as a white woman in the comics, so when an actress of African-American descent was hired for the part, some fans did not take it well.

No fortune cookie could have predicted this, but Freaky Friday, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, has surged up the Disney+ streaming charts ahead of its long-awaited legacy sequel – that promises an even Freakier Friday – releasing in theaters this August. In anticipation of the follow-up film, Disney fans are seemingly getting their freak on once more and revisiting the 2003 body-swap comedy directed by Mark Waters.
22 years after its theatrical release, Freaky Friday is a hit again, earning a respectable slot on the Disney+ streaming charts in the United States. [Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “Daredevil: Born Again” through Season 1, Episode 3.]
There are few things as satisfying as a courtroom drama. From the tradition of “12 Angry Men” to “Juror #2” and even the recent, twisted version on “Yellowjackets,” this dramatic sub-genre exemplifies that formula can be consistently entertaining in the right hands.

Holland was last seen onscreen as the heroic web-slinger in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which...

Daredevil: Born Again is introducing a lot of new characters to the MCU, but the latest episode just teased that a beloved Spider-Verse character might appear in the franchise in the near future. Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock in the new series, along with Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, and the show recently released its heartbreaking third episode. The series is already packed with references to the original Netflix series, the comic books the show is based on, and the wider MCU, with everyone from The Punisher to Spider-Man getting name-dropped in the series. But, Episode 3, titled "The Hollow of His Hand," just referenced one beloved character no one was expecting.

Spoiler Alert !!!If you haven’t seen Daredevil: Born Again Episode 3 yet, turn back now—before it's too late!
You know those little moments in a show that make you lean in and whisper to yourself, “Did they just do that?” Well, Episode 3 of Daredevil: Born Again had that exact moment for me. It wasn’t the courtroom drama or the dark, gritty vibes of Hell’s Kitchen that got me. No, not at all! It was a sneaky little name-drop that had my heart doing flips and my mind racing.
In the middle of Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) struggle to get the best of a tricky case, he casually drops the name “Officer Morales”.

Now, a new poster has been unveiled – and it proudly and prominently displays the reason given by the Motion Picture Association ratings board for the film’s R rating! That reason: strong violent / grisly accidents, and language. The poster can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Netflix brings Kraven the Hunter to your home this Thursday. Allow him to enter at your own risk, as this appears to be the film that killed not only Spider-Man but also the non-Spider-Man Spider-Verse.
Sony's Spider-Man films were, on the whole, a pretty solid group. They got much better once they finally accepted assistance from Marvel Studios, beginning with Spider-Man: Homecoming. But those Spider-verse movies without Spidey? I mean, the first Venom was okay, but after that? Yeesh. And they got yeeshier as they went along.
Let me put it this way. The reputation of these movies is so bad that Netflix has been essentially dumping them onto their schedule. Venom: The Last Dance debuted on February 25th with little advance notice at all. The streaming giant did the same with Madame Web nearly a year ago, on May 14th. Both films performed much better on streaming than they did at movie theaters.

Despite only having a total of six appearances in the MCU to date, Spider-Man quickly won the hearts of many fans who had been waiting several years for him to appear onscreen alongside the likes of the Avengers. Any worries that he might not have embodied the spirit of the quip-hurling webslinger from the comics were quickly reassured by Tom Holland's portrayal of Peter Parker and his alter ego. The Spider-Man of the MCU captures the kindness, intelligence, and heroism of the comic version in more ways than one. However, the best way has to be his dialogue.
Peter Parker has had some amazing one-liners, ranging from inspiring to heartbreaking. While each of his appearances has more than one line worth mentioning, for the purposes of this list it will only focus on the lines that truly mattered. These are the moments where Peter's true personality shined the brightest,...

Robert Downey Jr. first played Tony Stark in 2008's Iron Man. He later reprised the role in two sequels, four Avengers movies, Captain America: Civil War, and even Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The actor ultimately bid an emotional farewell to the character in Avengers: Endgame when Iron Man made a heroic sacrifice to save the universe from Thanos. Downey, who has won an Oscar for his role in Oppenheimer since leaving the MCU, has fully closed the door on playing Tony again.
Instead, he'll suit up as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
While Iron Man is behind Downey, he'll reprise his role as the Armored Avenger away from the MCU for Disneyland's "Stark Flight Lab" attraction. Talking about that at SXSW this past weekend, he reflected on what this character has come to mean to him.

Bokween Woodbine played a supporting role in Spider-Man: Homecoming as secondary villain, Herman Schultz, but we haven't seen the character since he was defeated by Tom Holland's wall-crawler (with a little help from Ned Leeds).
We didn't really expect Shocker to show up in the MCU again, but Woodbine has now hinted at his return in a future project.
While speaking to The Direct at the SXSW premiere of Government Cheese, the actor was asked what became of Schultz after the events of Homecoming.
"That's a very good question. I'm wondering the same. But I get a feeling it might not be the last time you see the Shocker."
Woodbine was also asked if there was ever any talk of him donning a more comic-accurate costume.
"We discussed it," he reveals. "It wasn't right or appropriate for that first one. But who knows, down the line, [we can get] a little bit closer to the original suit.

Robert Downey Jr. will re-join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the all-powerful villain Doctor Doom, but he's still grateful for his time as the hero Tony Stark. Downey recently reflected on what his time as the character taught him.
Screen Rant reported that at one of this year's SXSW panels, Downey talked about being grateful for the role as Marvel's Iron Man. "17 years I've been associated with this iconic superhero...," he said. "It’s the message he represents that I'm grateful for. Tony Stark opened my eyes wider to the power technology has to impact the world for good, and that's something I'll carry for the rest of my life."
Iron Man was released in 2008 as the very first film in the MCU. It was directed by Jon Favreau, with Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow co-starring alongside Downey. The movie launched the MCU, grossing over $585 million and picking up two Academy Award nominations.

It won't be too long before Spider-Man is swinging his way back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the upcoming fourth Spidey installment in the Marvel Studios franchise has seen a number of evolutions through the past few months. From the departure of the previous Spider-Man trilogy's director Jon Watts to the arrival of new director Destin Daniel Cretton (who also directed the McU's Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings), there has been a lot going on for the webslinger's next installment.
Let's also not forget that Sony reportedly wanted the film to be another multiversal affair after the success of 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is rumored to have conflicted with Marvel Studios' plans to make Spider-Man 4 a more streetwise, grounded movie. And, with the film now being placed between two Avengers movies, it seems that Sony's wish is coming true.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

Avengers Tower is no longer, as Thunderbolts* reveals it has been renamed it, and it is one comic book fans will be equally excited and worried about. Fans were excited when the first trailer for Thunderbolts* finally answered a question MCU fans have had since 2017 — who bought the Avengers Tower? First mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming, fan speculation was rampant for years, with theories that it would be purchased by Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin or Norman Osborn / The Green Goblin. Many were certain it would be the location of the Baxter Building for the McU's Fantastic Four before their upcoming film was revealed to take place in another universe.
While the trailers for Thunderbolts* have already revealed that the former Avengers Tower will be a major set piece in the film, Empire Magazine confirms that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, aka Val, purchased the building and renamed it "Watchtower." The Watchtower has a comic book basis,...

Hollywood’s entertainment industry has been the hub of quite a few fiascos over the course of the decades, catching a lot of people in affairs they should have not been involved in the first place. Surprisingly enough, the list of names for the same included the names of Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, and even Jon Peters.

There have been rumblings for several months that CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is the new owner of Avengers Tower. The building was sold way back in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, though Marvel Studios has waited until Thunderbolts* to reveal who bought it from Tony Stark.
The latest Thunderbolts* trailer confirmed that Val owns the building and that she's making some changes to it, adding a structure with a striking similarity to The Sentry's Watchtower on top.
Talking to Empire Online, filmmaker Jake Schreier confirmed Avengers Tower has now been renamed the "Watchtower" and teased, "We know what that tower means. Who’s the person you would least like to own that tower, that means so much to so many people? Can you use that as a symbol of things taking a darker turn?"
Part of that darker turn with be Val's man-made superhero The Sentry unleashing hell on New York City as The Void.

One of the biggest wins for the MCU is its star-studded cast. Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Iron Man was one of the reasons why the cinematic universe had a solid start. After more than a decade in the role, it became almost impossible to separate the actor from the character. Chris Evans as Captain America was similarly another perfect choice.

The year 2025 kicked off with some surprising feats; the most surprising of them was when Tom Holland and Zendaya were confirmed to be engaged. The couple met each other in 2016 on sets of Holland’s Marvel entry, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and soon were rumored to be dating. However, Holland and Zendaya are not the only Marvel stars to be engaged, since their Spider-Man co-star, Jacob Batalon, is now engaged too.

Runaway Jury, one of the best legal thrillers based on a John Grisham novel, has entered Netflix's top 10. The film features an incredible cast, which includes John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, and Rachel Weisz, and was directed by Reacher's Gary Fleder. Runaway Jury currently sits at number seven in the United States and in the Netflix top 10 worldwide.
The movie is about a lawyer named Wendell Rohr (Hoffman), who is up against Rankin Fitch (Hackman), a shady jury consultant who is able to stack juries in the favor of the defense. In a high-stakes trial against a gun manufacturer following a workplace shooting in New Orleans, one juror (Cusack) and his girlfriend (Weisz) appear able to manipulate the jury to deliver the verdict they wish.

The Monopoly movie is back on the table, and any worries about a board game adaptation might be put to rest as the directing duo behind the critically acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is joining the project. Created in 1935 and drawing heavily from The Landlord Game, Monopoly is one of the most popular (and frustrating) games of all-time. The game is known worldwide and licensed in over 100 countries in multiple languages, with dozens of versions based on popular IPs. The iconic image of the Monopoly Guy or phrases like "get out of jail free card" and the various game pieces have become part of the cultural lexicon. Despite the fact that there is no true story about the game, that doesn't mean Hollywood hasn't tried to take this popular IP and turn it into a feature film, and they might have finally found the team to bring it to life.

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will undoubtedly be the biggest comic book movies since Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. With no Avengers movies between them, and no team up movies coming out of DC Studios yet, this is absolutely a given.
Rumors have been swirling for months that Secret Wars will end up serving as a reboot of sorts for the MCU, similar to what The Flash was supposed to do for DC before Gunn and Saffran took over. As we all know, the Marvel Cinematic Universe loves to save the best for last, just when everything appears to be said and done. Thanks to its post-credits scenes, we've seen the introduction of shocking heroes such as Nick Fury or discovered that big antagonists like Thanos were coming for the Infinity Stones. Unfortunately, there's also been a bit of a tendency to set up future storylines during these scenes only to seemingly abandon them altogether.
Remember how Mac Gargan was teased to turn into the Scorpion after the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Homecoming? Yeah, it's been so long that we almost didn't either. Such has been the case on many occasions throughout multiple projects, including the likes of Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Fortunately, it seems Marvel will finally follow up on a loose end that has the potential to forever change the MCU as we know it.

Yet the most surprising of these plot hooks was the last, which involved Peter Parker's father, Richard.

Captain America has finally returned to the big screen with Captain America: Brave New World. Sam Wilson has assumed the role of Cap and is joined by Joaquin Torres as the new Falcon. This should have been a monumental moment for the Marvel Cinematic Universe but has unfortunately failed to make a worthwhile impression on the 17-year-old franchise in the eyes of many viewers. While a box office success -- which hopefully ensures another Sam Wilson-focused Captain America film is somewhere on the horizon -- some longtime Marvel fans were left underwhelmed by the studio's latest outing.
