Kasumi Ninja (1994)

Review by jeremycrimsonfox

Kasumi Ninja

2/10

One Of The Worst Mortal Kombat Clones To Ever Exist

Kasumi Ninja is known as one of the worst Mortal Kombat clones to ever exist, if not one of the worst video games of all time.

When you start the one player mode, you only get two characters to play as: Habaki and Senzo, two ninjas who are basically the Scorpion and Sub-Zero of this game, as you must free Kasumi Island from the evil Lord Gyaku. You face off against other fighters like Chagi, a kickboxer, Thundra, an Amazon queen, and the most remembered character, Angus, a Scottish blacksmith who is infamous for shooting fireballs from under his kilt (I wish I was making this up, but he actually does that).

The game plays like Mortal Kombat, with winning two rounds allowing you to perform a Death Move (with each fighter getting one), but good luck even getting to do that, as the controls are horrible (sometimes, and attack come out when a button is pressed) and the computer opponents can be cheap (some will spam moves, especially if they trapped you in a corner, and they can connect just as your character gets up).
