Justin Timberlake’s concert dates, rescheduled from October 2024, are fast approaching.

On Oct. 22, Timberlake announced he needed to cancel the next week of shows on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, telling fans that he was not up to the performances.

The rescheduled shows, which will take place at their original venues, will see Timberlake perform in six cities, including Chicago, Detroit, and Columbus.

The Forget Tomorrow World Tour comes in support of Timberlake’s last album, Everything I Thought It Was, which dropped on March 15. Featuring the singles “Selfish” and “Drown,” and guest artists such as Tobe Nwugwe and Firebox Dml, the album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s 200.

Who says the pop star is dead? At his triumphant tour stop in Los Angeles Saturday night, Justin Timberlake led a revival for the reigning Prince of Pop, with a setlist of greatest hits and new material that proves the Grammy-winning entertainer is here to stay.

Timberlake took the stage shortly after 9 p.m. at Kia Forum in Inglewood, for the tenth stop on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, and the second of two nights in L.A. The sold-out tour, in support of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, was billed as a chance for fans to hear songs from the new LP along with “everyone’s favorite hits,” and Timberlake expertly blended them into a two-hour, feel-good fest.

On one hand, movie theories can be frustrating, as, depending on the franchise, they will never be fully confirmed or debunked. On the other hand, even without canon answers, theorizing about popular films is always fun, especially when the theory completely changes the meaning of the story.

One of the things we love most about the dark Showtime series “Yellowjackets” is all the fantastic ’90s music. Half of the show takes place in 1996, when high school girls’ soccer team crash lands in the wilderness and half is set 25 years later, with the still traumatized adult survivors.

Season 2 features an exclusive track by Florence + the Machine, an eerie cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl,” Sharon Van Etten’s “Seventeen,” and such ’90s feminist icons as Tori Amos.

And of course, we love the kind of creepy main title theme, “No Return,” by Craig Wedren and Anna Waronker. The opening credits from Season 1 teased some of the things we would see unfold, and the updated Season 2 credits sequence also gives us hints at what we’ll see in upcoming episodes.

If you were looking to take a break and chill out to the music from Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios’ Dead Island 2, you’re in luck. The Dead Island 2 Official Soundtrack is now available to listen to for free on several different streaming platforms, including Spotify, iTunes and YouTube.

And in case you’re curious, the soundtrack does not include “Drown”, the song found in the opening cinematic by Karen O and Danger Mouse. You’ll have to track down Karen O’s 2019 album Lux Prima for that one.

Ryan Williams, composer and senior audio designer at Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, created the majority of the 31 tracks available on the Dead Island 2 soundtrack, with experienced British music consultancy and creation company Feel For Music also contributing. According to the press release, Williams’ lifelong love of all things horror has been a driving force behind his creative output.

Power Trip’s 2018 live recording Live in Seattle stands as the definitive document of the thrash band in the concert setting. Previously released digitally in 2020, the full set is getting a proper vinyl, CD, and digital release on June 23rd via Southern Lord.

The 11-song performance took place at Neumos venue on May 28th, 2018, in Seattle while Power Trip were on tour supporting their 2017 album Nightmare Logic. The band would play four songs from the LP in Seattle, including the instant classic “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)” — a teaser for which can be streamed below.

The Dark Operative imprint went on to release Live in Seattle as a digital Bandcamp download in June of 2020 during pandemic lockdowns. Tragically, Power Trip frontman Riley Gale passed away just months later on August 24th. The Texas band has been on hiatus ever since, though one member has gone on to form the group Fugitive.

So, remember back in the first season of "Yellowjackets" where it seemed like queen bee Jackie (Ella Purnell) was going to survive the 19 months the soccer team spent in the woods? One of the seemingly-damning pieces of evidence was her diary, which her former bestie Shauna (Sophie Nélisse and Melanie Lynskey) reads during a visit to her house. As an adult, Shauna sees that the pages of Jackie's notebook are covered in writings about things that couldn't have happened when they were stranded in the Canadian wilderness, like referencing movies that had yet to come out. For a while, it was pretty plausible that Jackie did survive and avoided being eaten by her teammates, but as the final moments of the season finale rolled around, we realized that was far from the case.

One of the things you can't deny about Showtime's runaway hit "Yellowjackets" is that it's got a killer soundtrack. Even before we got to hear its catchy theme song from Anna Waronker and Craig Wedren, the pilot episode set up one of the show's recurring elements: a soundtrack that consists of both '90s classics and deep cuts. The show's second season is no different — after all, they are still fighting for survival during the late '90s portion of the show.

Even if this isn't taken into consideration, the 1990s were a great time for music, as evidenced throughout "Yellowjackets." If you weren't privy to living through the '90s, some of these songs might be delighting your ears for the very first time, and as such, might be too entranced to open your Shazam app to ask, "what song is playing?...

Following two theatrical releases, "Wolf Creek" is coming to the small screen with Australian streaming service Stan setting it up as a six-part original TV series premiering later this year. John Jarratt returns to his iconic role of psychopathic outback murderer Mick Taylor.

All rights have also gone to Germany (Salzbeger Entertainment), France (Epicentre), the UK (Peccadillo Pictures) and Benelux (ABC Distribution Rights). In Poland, Tongariro has picked up theatrical, VOD and DVD.

The film received its premiere at the Mardi Gras Film Festival in Sydney and went on to pick up the audience award for most popular feature at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival.

Adapted from Stephen Davis. play which prompted walk outs when it was staged by the Queensland Theatre Company, the film centres on three surf lifesavers whose big night out is marred by jealousy, homophobic fears, unrequited lust and violence.

The night culminates in a tragic, booze-fuelled episode of bullying. There is a graphic gay sex scene, says Francis, who does not want to speculate on the likely film classification.

The international sales agent, London-based High Point Films & TV, showed a work-in-progress to potential buyers at the Cannes Film Market.

Boxing drama depicts the falling out between Barry McGuigan and his manager Barney Eastwood in the 1980s.

UK sales outfit High Point’s Cannes slate includes new boxing drama Thank You Very Much Mr Eastwood, depicting the falling out between world boxing champion Barry McGuigan and his larger than life manager Barney Eastwood in the 1980s.

Currently casting, the film will be directed by Michael McDowell and produced by Damon Quinn of Belfast based Hole in the Wall Gang and Ronald de Neef for Starline Entertainment.

High Point’s slate also includes Drown, Dean Francis’s portrayal of homophobia in the macho environs of a Sydney based lifesaver club, and rom-com Heart Street.

Daniel Feuerriegel (Spartacus: Blood and Sand) is attached to play the lead in Mayday Hill, an Australian horror/thriller inspired by true events.

The film will be shot at the former Beechworth Lunatic Asylum in Victoria, a notorious institution known as Mayday Hills to the locals. The asylum, which was the site of deaths, abuse and gruesome medical treatment, closed in 1995 after operating for 128 years.

The screenplay by Matthew Barker centres on a couple (Daniel and an actress who is now in negotiation) who visit the location and are confronted by the horrors of the past.

Director Dean Francis, who made his feature debut with 2010.s Road Train, told If the film melds true events with demonology and medical malpractice.. "It ties in with the gentrification of institutions into apartments, which hide a dark history," he said.

Dean Francis (Road Train) directs the story, which Stephen Davis adapted from his own stage play.

Local feature film Drown has cast Matt Levett in the lead role and has launched an online crowd-funding campaign.

The low-budget film, which will tackle themes of bullying and homophobia, aims to raise $100,000 in 65 days via Indiegogo.

Levett is currently working on upcoming Seven Network drama, A Place To Call Home, and has previously appeared in Winners & Losers, All Saints, Home and Away, Rescue Special Ops, Two Twisted and as a series regular on ABC.s third season of Bed of Roses.

Director Dean Francis is set to return to the big screen with new feature film Drown.

The story, based on a play by Stephen Davis, follows three lifesavers on a big night out when jealousy, homophobic fears and unrequited lust culminate in a tragic booze-fueled episode of bullying.

"It's a really important story to tell because it deals with homophobia and bullying and as a filmmaker it's a return to the more confrontational style of filmmaking I was known for in film school," Francis said.

Francis made his feature film debut with stylish teen-horror Road Train (retitled Road Kill for the Us release) in 2010. He has also directed over a dozen short films that have had more than a hundred film festival screenings while his 2006 short film Vermin was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild Award. Another of his short films, Boys Grammar, has previously touched on the themes that will be explored in Drown.
