While I had never actually heard about this 2025 movie when I stumbled upon it by random chance, of course I had to watch it. First of all, it was a movie that I hadn't seen, nor heard about, and I've enjoyed comic books and frequenting the local comic book store where I live since the 1990s. So there was definitely something resonating with me here.

Writers Jonathan L. Bowen and Scott Reed put together a good and enjoyable script. It as a story that was easy to get immersed into, and it was also a story that proved to be entertaining and enjoyable. The storyline was good, but the character gallery in the movie was good as well. It was easy to associate and get on the level with the characters, and they were nicely detailed and fleshed out, making them real people in the movie.

I was not familiar with the majority of the cast ensemble, but I will say that the acting performances were good. The only familiar faces for me was leading actor Jesse Metcalfe and also Eric Roberts. Jesse Metcalfe was nicely cast for the leading role and he carried the movie quite well.

"The Comic Shop" might be somewhat of niche movie, but I would say give it a fair chance, because it proved to be entertaining and enjoyable.

Very nice film about the comic business. Well done with Jesse Metcalf in starring role about a comic book shop owner who is struggling to run his shop. He had dreams of being a comic book ILLUSTRATOR, but gave up on that original plan many years before opening up his own comic book shop.

Great casting, with much characterization of people involved in the comic book business. Would have loved to see KEVIN SMITH MAKE AN APPEARANCE HERE, but I am sure there were budgetary restraints. Plenty of nice animation here as well; which translated well into the story. One thing this film does best, that many other films FAIL to do is get you to CARE about the characters in the film. This film will not disappoint the comic book fan. And you don't even need to be a comic book fan to see this nice movie.
