While Tom Holland continues his press tour for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the actor has revealed that the Marvel One-Shot short films is being resurrected. This comes just a few days after the young actor confirmed an Iron Man 2 fan theory, that the young boy with the Iron Man mask who stands up to a powerful drone, is in fact a much younger version of his Peter Parker character. Now it seems the actor has spilled the beans on another Marvel project in the waiting, after revealing he wants to make a short film with Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
These revelations come during a new Uproxx interview with Tom Holland for Spider-Man: Homecoming, where the actor was asked if he would like another McU character to swing by, like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark, in the already-confirmed Spider-Man: Homecoming 2. The actor revealed the he would love for Paul Rudd to come by as Ant-Man,...

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned earlier this month to continue Season 3, and it's been one hell of a ride. We've already seen a number of familiar Marvel faces return throughout these last couple of new episodes. Now, another missing member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team is about to reemerge. And it's someone who hasn't been seen since the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. at the hands of Hydra, leading into Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Yes, fan-favorite actor Titus Welliver is returning as ex-Agent Blake. He will appear in the March 29 episode titled Watchdogs. ABC recently released the official synopsis for this upcoming episode. And as you can clearly see by the title, an iteration of the Marvel hate group Watchdogs will be arriving to take down the Inhumans. Here's the plot rundown.

If Avengers: Age of Ultron helped to prove anything, it's that no one can wield Mjolnir. Except maybe Captain America, who may have been faking it. Thor's legendary hammer was laid out like a party trick, and the rest of his comrades were offered the chance to pick it up. They all failed, though Steve Rogers was able to nudge it ever so slightly. And Vision easily handed it back to Thor, but he's an android and doesn't count. A new deleted scene from Thor: The Dark World teases that Loki might have the power to swing this mighty weapon. Maybe.
The Thor 2 deleted scene arrives as part of the 13-Disc Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection, which is in stores just in time for the holiday gift giving season. But as we learn from watching this scene, it is all an illusion. We get to watch Locki's coronation,...

Over the past few years, Marvel fans were treated to bonus short films known as Marvel One-Shot's, which were included on most of the studio's Blu-ray and DVD releases. Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King was the last one the studio put out, attached to the Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World last year, and some fans are wondering if we've seen the last of these short films. While promoting Marvel's latest release, Ant-Man, in theaters July 17, Kevin Feige revealed to Collider that even he is disappointed there haven't been any new Marvel One-Shots, and that they have a number of different ideas for future shorts, but he doesn't known when they will actually happen.
I'm disappointed too! Frankly, and I think it would be great to see more one-shots. We'll see... You look at me as if I'm the only person who controls that decision; I wish that were the case.

If there’s one thing that we all know female celebrities tend to strive for, it’s a unique look. A-Listers at awards ceremonies will often wear one-off dresses to stand out from the crowd in an attempt to garner attention and outdo each other – and it often works – but one thing they can’t change (without dramatic and extremely expensive cosmetic surgery, at least) is their face.
It’s surprising how many celebrities look alike and it’s even more surprising – particularly in some cases – when you realise just who it is that certain celebrities actually look like. Of course, some are blindingly obvious and widely known with regards to their similarities to each other but, as we’re about to prove, you can link together celebrities who look nothing like each other in a matter of a handful of steps.

Earlier today, it was announced that Captain America: The Winter Soldier would be hitting Blu-ray and DVD on September 9, and it was believed to include a new Marvel One-Shot. But Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that's not the case. There will be no new Marvel One-Shot created for this upcoming release.
Marvel hasn't confirmed that it is ending its run of Marvel One-Shot short films, which so far include 2011's Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer and Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant, 2012's Marvel One-Shot: Item 47, 2013's Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter and 2014's Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. If a new short is made, fans won't see it until the Guardians of the Galaxy home video release this winter.
This news comes as a surprise, since the shorts are incredibly popular, and have even inspired two TV series, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Bad news, Marvel fans: The studio has put a hold on its popular One-Shot series of short films, and won’t be including one on the Blu-ray release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Sources close to the studio confirm that the omission of a short in the new list of bonus features for the Aug. 19 release is no accident — and it’s not a bit of H.Y.D.R.A.-like misdirection, either.
This isn’t necessarily the ultimate end of the One-Shot movies, but fans may have to wait until at least the home video debut of...

All eyes are currently on Marvel Studios as we anxiously await the announcement of who will take over directing duties on Ant-Man now that Edgar Wright has left the project. Earlier today, the rumor mill churned wildly as James Gunn’s name was tossed around, but that was quickly debunked by the man himself.
Then, Latino Review’s El Mayimbe (who, I should add, has been on a roll with these Marvel scoops lately) started tweeting that he was close to finding out who the real director choice was, and pointed toward Agent Carter One-Shot helmer Louis D’Esposito as a strong possibility.
…I would guess Louis D Esposito batting in the clean up position. Again a guess. Waiting for calls to be returned.

A week ago, comic book movie fans were shocked to learn that Edgar Wright ("Shaun of the Dead"), who had been developing Ant-Man since 2006, had left the project which was to begin filming very soon. Since then, rumors have circulated that Marvel Studios did a last-minute rewrite of the script that Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish had written and what came back was a more generic script. That supposedly angered Wright enough so that he walked away from his passion project, Ant-Man. Besides speculating as to why Wright departed people have been wondering who might step in and direct Ant-Man. El Mayimbe, who has been on a hot streak with his scoops of late, has news that Marvel Studios Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, who also directed the Marvel one-shots Item 47 and Agent Carter, is looking like the strongest candidate at the moment. From what I'm told @marvel had two choices.

Sneak Peek the "Marvel One-Shot" films released to date including "Agent Carter":
Marvel One-Shots' are produced by Marvel Studios, set within the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe', included as special features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Blu-ray releases.
"It's a fun way to experiment with new characters and ideas," said One-Shot co-producer Brad Winderbaum, "but more importantly it's a way for us to expand the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' and tell stories that live outside the plot of our features."
"There’s always a potential to introduce a character, " said Marvel's Louis D'Esposito.
"We have 8,000 of them, and they can’t all be at the same level. So maybe there are some that are not so popular, and we introduce them - and they take off. I could see that happening".
Marvel One-Shots include:
"The Consultant" (2011), released on the "Thor" Blu-ray 3D, directed by Leythum and written by Eric Pearson, with music by Paul Oakenfold,...

We knew S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Agent Sitwell was in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but tonight on ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. we learned how he got there. Is this the crossover between the TV series and the about-to-be-released big-screen sequel that Marvel’s been teasing fans about for weeks? Nobody’s talking in secretive Marveland, but in a sense the truth was already out there – though probably only the hardcore fanboys picked up on it tonight. One of the numerous special features attached to the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World, is the latest Marvel short film, Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. Last night, I headed down to the Arclight Hollywood for a screening of this short, which features Ben Kingsley reprising his Iron Man 3 role as Trevor Slattery, the British actor who tricked the world into thinking he was a dangerous terrorist known as The Mandarin. These shorts have become big hits with the fans, but All Hail the King is by far the biggest one yet, that you surely won't want to miss.

One of the more enjoyable (and most often overlooked) corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are the "One Shot" short films that accompany the home video releases of the movies. These shorts play in the marginalia of the larger films -- "Item 47" featured a pair of criminals who use alien tech stolen from the Battle for New York from "The Avengers" to go on a rampage, while this year's "Agent Carter" featured Captain America's long lost love in a tale of espionage all her own. And now, with word that a new One-Shot, "All Hail the King," will be included with the forthcoming Blu-ray and DVD release of "Thor: The Dark World," Marvel has confirmed that it will star The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) from "Iron Man 3," and was written and directed by Drew Pearce, co-writer of "Iron Man 3" (and Marvel's failed adaptation of Brian K Vaughan's...

After Hulk-smashing all competing dramas in its first week with 11.9 million viewers and an astounding 4.6 adults 18-49 rating (ABC’s best premiere in four years), Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was widely predicted to earn a pick-up from ABC, and now the network has made it official. With a recently announced back-nine order expanding the length of the freshman show’s first season from thirteen episodes to twenty-two, it’s safe to say that execs over at ABC are currently raising their glasses to a long, profitable future with Marvel.

The film revolves around a handsome talk-show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen), who unwittingly get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea.
Caplan is set to star as Agent Lacey, who is described as a hot, cleavage-showing CIA agent who wants Franco’s host character to assassinate the prime minister.
Rogen and Goldberg are once more directing from their own script, and will also be producing the movie together.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will see Max Hernandez reprise his Avengers role of Agent Jasper Sitwell.
The actor announced on Twitter that he is to return as the S.H.I.E.L.D. operative in the sequel, which he said will be "much darker" than Captain America: The First Avenger.
Hernandez also confirmed that his role in the Phase Two movie will be larger than his cameos in Avengers and the short film Marvel One-Shot: Item 47.
"It's a much bigger role in a much darker Cap story. Lots of twists and turns. And lots secrets about the McU revealed," he wrote.
"I can't say much more or the Marvel cops will revoke my S.H.I.E.L.D. clearance! Trust me u will all freak out in the theatre when all is revealed."

The Avengers arrived on Blu-ray on September 18th, and I had the chance to watch it for the third time since it smashed box office records this summer. If you look back at the amount of posts for this film prior to its release, during its release, and since then, you will have an idea of the geek hysteria that The Avengers created. The main reason that this film is such a phenomenon is because of Joss Whedon. If there's anyone who could have successfully pulled off a storyline that gave an appropriate amount of screen time to all of the superheroes, it's Whedon. Avengers is a must-own on Blu-ray, period.
Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Renner lead this badass cast. Unfortunately, I was not at Comic-Con when the cast first came out on stage, but the response was so overwhelming...

The biggest summer blockbuster, and the third highest grossing film of all time has assembled onto Blu-ray 3D., Blu-ray., DVD, Digital and On-Demand in Marvel’S The Avengers.
The planet has been threatened by a powerful enemy, causing Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Director of the international peacekeeping agency S.H.I.E.L.D., to reinstate the Avengers Initiative. The Initiative brings together some of the worlds most elite super humans: Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Dr. Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). It’s now up to them to save the world from the dangers ahead.
There is a reason that this film did so well in theaters… It’S Incredible! Joss Whedon did a fantastic job of balancing this ensemble cast and bringing the characters together in a way that makes perfect sense.

The Avengers was the darling film of the summer 2012 movie season and a billion-dollar achievement for Marvel Studio’s ambitious shared universe movie franchise. The epic adventure (and every fanboy’s dream) now arrives at home in the form of The Avengers Blu-ray combo pack – and while hardcore fans are likely still bummed about the delayed Marvel “Phase One” Collector’s Edition (which contains the entire Marvel Phase One movie saga) this Avengers Blu-ray is nonetheless a nice holdover.
Read on for a breakdown of the Blu-ray transfer and all the special features you get with this Marvel movie feature – including the new Marvel One-Shot: Item 47, which provides a nice little snapshot of what we may ...

Marvel Avengers Assemble; Silent House; Breathing; El Bulli
It says something about the parlous state of modern blockbusters that any comic-book franchise flick made with a modicum of heart, soul and (most importantly) wit is immediately hailed as a game-changing event. Aficionados have long known that writer-director Joss Whedon is one of the good guys – a genre film-maker who understands both his source material and the fan culture that surrounds it – but the money-spinning success of the awkwardly titled (in the UK anyway) Marvel Avengers Assemble (2012, Disney, 12) has now cemented him as a Hollywood big hitter.
This in itself is a reason to be cheerful, for while Michael Bay makes cynical millions treating his viewers with contempt, it's great to celebrate the success of a franchise film-maker who actually appears to like and respect his audience. Thus what could have been a join-the-dots mash-up of Marvel's biggest-hitting superheroes becomes a...

The Avengers is set to arrive on blu-ray and dvd on September 25th here in the U.S. Actor Maximilano Hernandez who we've previously seen in Thor, Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant, and The Avengers spoke to WhatCulture about the Marvel One-Shot: Item 47 which is an extra on The Avengers blu-ray/dvd. On the plot of the Avengers short Item 47. Maximiliano Hernandez: Sure. Item 47 basically takes place directly after The Avengers. So, after the portal is closed [by Iron Man], my job was basically to collect the weaponry, make sure that it was securely put away by S.H.I.E.L.D. Offers up a bit more insight into the plot. Mh: Yeah, the Chitauri invasion that happened in The Avengers. Yeah, so that was basically my job. I was able to collect 46 Items and the 47th item kind of slipped through the cracks and was found by a couple, played...

During the recent San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios teased those of us unable to make the trek to San Diego for its Hall H presentation with nine whole seconds of the new live-action short film Marvel One-Shot: Item 47 that will be included as an extra on The Avengers DVD/Blu-ray when it is released in September. The movie takes place in the post-Chitauri invasion Marvel Cinematic Universe and the teaser clip showed S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández ) being dispatched to retrieve a stray Chitauri weapon and "neutralize the two outlaws" who found it. Now, an extended preview clip has been released that shows us that the "two outlaws" are really not such bad people, just a pair of "hapless young troublemakers" (Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford) who think that the Chitauri weapon was delivered to them by fate to help improve their lives, i.e., use it to get rich robbing banks.

Sure, Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and the rest of the team helped to stop the threat of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and the alien Chitauri by the end of The Avengers, but what happened after Earth's Mightiest Heroes saved the world (besides stopping for a bite to eat at a shawarma restaurant)? New York City is a disaster, with numerous buildings completely demolished and alien bodies and spaceships lying all over the place. It's assumed that S.H.I.E.L.D. will oversee the clean-up, but even Nick Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) super-secret spy agency can't be expected to account for everything.
When The Avengers debuts on DVD/Blu-ray in September, it will include a 12-minute short titled Marvel One-Shot: Item 47 that will show what happens when two "hapless young troublemakers" (Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford) find one of the Chitauri weapons that S.H.I.E.L.D. missed...
