Fallen Comrade - AMAZING

I saw this film at closing night at the Miami LGBT Film Festival and I have to say that it was AMAZING! A post "Don't Ask Don't Tell" story about two Army soldiers.

The entire audience was silent for 10minutes! No texting. No talking. Nothing. This short film moved a lot of people and was probably the best film out of the entire film festival!

The acting was solid, story felt so real, the picture looked great. Me and my friends we talking about it the entire walk home. The filmmaker is the next big thing and I hope more people see this.

Great Film

I attended the San Diego LGBT film festival's Opening Night and saw this short movie, Fallen Comrade. I have never seen a short movie like this one. It was so authentic. It is relevant to what I think still goes on in our military.

Acting: Actors carried their roles and performances were captivating.

Directing: Directing was spot on.

Story: The story was something we are use to with war, love stories but what made this stand out is that a story like this has never been told before; two military guys.

Cinematography: the picture was beautiful and had some very interesting color contrast choices.

The director was there along with the actors and they were really great guys. I hope this film gets into some major film festivals because it's defiantly worth seeing.

Very Good

I really like this short film, it explores the intimate relationship of two army guys. I went to the LGBT festival in Connecticut, I missed the last 3 years but I am glad I went this year. I'm a military brat, Marines and this story was really something to watch.

I wanted to see more after they first met but I'm sure thats something that we will see when this becomes a long 90minute Hollywood film. I really hope this becomes a Hollywood movie because the last big gay themed Hollywood film about two guys was Brokeback Mountain and that was over 7 years ago already. Watch this short film you will love it.

Magnificent short film!

I had the opportunity to watch this film recently, and I was blown away by the storyline and overall quality of the production. Everything from the music choice to the lighting was tip-top. I was very satisfied with how the story played out from beginning to end.

There was a ton of emotion and passion. The emotional scenes were very touching. The actor who played Reyes did a great job of transmitting the anguish, yearning, and all other emotions that a person under his circumstances would be likely to feel. I couldn't help but identify with the characters, especially Reyes and Alex's mother.

There is so much to see, and my eyes were glued to the screen the entire time. This is an excellent short film. I highly recommend it!

Simply Great!

I had the opportunity to watch this short movie and I am speechless. There is so much in the small amount of time. It's even better than most of the things I'v seen in theaters this summer! The actors were perfect, the story was touching, the producing and camera was so well put together.

It's hard to pick the best scene in this short movie. Though there is a scene that is filled with affection and intimacy that I would have to say is my favorite. It was at that moment I realized how much deeper this story is. I hope to see more work from these actors and producers, simply great!

Really Good

Wow. I felt emotionally attached to Julian- it's hard to do in 10minutes. American gay cinema is on a rise it gets better and better every year, this short movie was very well executed. I can tell the producers and directors put some thought into this. Thought Julian did an amazing job what really made me shed the tear was the mother. She really was something. Her expression alone just had me tearing up.

I'm really glad I met this young cast and crew. I can imagine, in years to come, their careers will be on the silver screen! Great film, definitely worth it, I hope to see this film playing in other upcoming festivals. Two thumbs up!

What a short movie! :)

I actually stumbled on this movie looking through my friends DVD collection and thought it was a full length feature from the cover, but he told me it was a short film made a few years ago. I just saw it last night and it was amazing! Most gay short movies I've seen just talk about sex or a crush or something but this told an actual story in about 15 minutes and made you feel for it!

I read some of the other reviews and I agree- the actors did real well, camera work was real nice, and the subject matter is very relevant. 9/10 because I wish this was a bit longer and I hope they make a full length version of this. Thanks for making this! :)
