"Every year there is another." What does it all mean? Any ideas? Any theories? Neon has revealed a strange and mysterious 30-second teaser trailer video for a film that they don't actually name. Very freaky. Though we're pretty damn sure it's a viral teaser for the horror film Longlegs. Yesterday night, a moviegoer posted a video on social media showing a brand new teaser trailer for Longlegs playing in theaters right now - but it's not online yet (and the video was pulled). This teaser features audio of a 911 call, along with a photo that switches at the end. The title card on this teaser is the same red title card with symbols or cryptic text, exact same as seen in the trailer playing in theaters. It could also be for another Neon horror film called Cuckoo, that's premiering at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival next month. Longlegs is the latest from horror filmmaker Oz Perkins,...

The Team Edward vs. Team Jacob debate during Twilight caused tension between Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Lautner's career has struggled since Twilight, with inconsistent roles in TV shows and B movies. Pattinson, on the other hand, has had a successful career shift, becoming an indie film darling and landing the role of Bruce Wayne in The Batman.
The years-long Twilight debate Team Edward vs. Team Jacob ended up getting in the way of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner's offscreen friendship. An adaptation of the Stephenie Meyer books, the Twilight series saw its first film adaptation in 2008. In the films, protagonist Bella Swan is caught in a love triangle between vampire Edward Cullen and werewolf Jacob Black, a plot setup that sparked a vehement debate.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Lautner reveals the toll that the Edward vs. Jacob debate took on him and Pattinson. According to the Jacob actor,...

The “Euphoria” breakout star has a supporting role in David Lowery’s upcoming drama, which follows a pop star (Anne Hathaway) who has a twisted romantic relationship with a fashion designer (Michaela Coel). Schafer plays Hilda, the personal assistant to Coel’s co-lead character. The film is billed as an epic pop melodrama and features original songs by Jack Antonoff and Charli Xcx. Kaia Gerber and Jessica Brown-Findlay also star.
“It was a lot of fun and I think people are going to be mind-blown,” Schafer told IndieWire of the A24 film while on the “Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” premiere’s red carpet. “I was mind-blown.”

Hunter Schafer says 'The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' was "a challenge".The 24-year-old 'Euphoria' actress - who shot to fame playing Jules Vaughn in the HBO teen drama - stars in the prequel movie as Tigris, the companion of Panem President Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth), and as she's just starting out in her acting career joining the blockbuster franchise was a big deal. She said: "Tigris kind of feels like the first character piece I've really done that's not like a teenage girl who is kind of like one step away from who I am."It was like a challenge for me." "I'm still new to acting."It's a full-circle moment for Hunter, as she was a 'Hunger Games' nerd at school. She shared: "I was a huge fan when I was in middle school... to the point where I was like doing fan...

Kind of feel that Tilman Singer‘s sophomore feature has been dangling like a carrot in front of us since they teased the first film still (back in mid ’22) of fearful Hunter Schafer. The delay on Cuckoo probably has more to do with the fact that is dives into a animated sequences to go along with the 35mm live action it was shot in. Also featuring Jan Bluthardt, Jessica Henwick, Dan Stevens, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey and Marton Csokas, Cuckoo could be featured in Park City and then the Berlinale where Singer’s debut feature Luz (2018) premiered.

Warning: The article contains Spoilers for Gen V episode 6, "Jumanji."
Soldier Boy's hilarious cameo in Gen V episode 6 almost went to Taylor Lautner, who would have played a guide in Cate's mind before exploding. Despite the change in actor, the character's fate would have remained the same, with Lautner's version also dying in the same way. The decision to cast Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy was made because it provided a clever and entertaining way to introduce the character into the spinoff.

Indian star Karthik Sivakumar, known by his screen name Karthi, is bullish about upcoming release “Japan,” his 25th film.
The film is due to release in November during the Deepavali holiday frame in Tamil, Telugu and a few other languages. “It’s a crime thriller, it’s got a manhunt to it. But apart from that, the writing and characters in the film are so well-rooted, and at the same time, it’s got a lot of flamboyance – it’s a very unique combination,” Karthi told Variety.
The film, from prolific south Indian studio Dream Warrior Pictures, is directed by Raju Murugan. “Being so grounded and yet having the flamboyance and the cockiness of this character is what got me hooked to the project, and the keenness to work with Raju Murugan – I’ve liked his earlier two films ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘Joker’ and his understanding of local community, the culture here,...

NBC's sensational sitcom Friends is still one of the most beloved television shows to date all thanks to its relatable storylines and hilarious characters -- James Burrows, however, doesn't consider one character to be exactly a barrel of laughs.
The acclaimed director, who has worked on hits such as Friends, Frasier, Will & Grace, Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, has recently released his memoir Directed by James Burrows, where he took readers behind the scenes of numerous beloved shows. Burrows, who directed 15 episodes of Friends, also revealed one character that he himself never liked and wanted to recast, and that's Ross Geller's second wife, Emily Waltham, played by Helen Baxendale, according to Radio Times.

Tony Bennett's first record, "Because of You" was released in 1952 and it instantly codified the entertainer as one of the music world's great crooners. In 1962, his 15th record, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" was certified platinum by the RIAA, but that was after he had already established himself with Count Basie and his Orchestra and as a great fan of songwriter Harold Arlen. All told, he released 61 records in his decades-long career, not including his eight albums of collaborations and duets. He sang with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Ray Charles, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Mariah Carey, Bono, Sting, Paul McCartney, Diana Krall, and many others. Most recently, he released two collaborations with Lady Gaga in 2018 and 2021. Bennett passed away on July 21, 2023 at the age of 96. He will be deeply missed.

Taylor Lautner and Andy Samberg share a hilarious father-son relationship in a TV show that is fairly obscure. Although Taylor Lautner rose to fame following his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight series, he has been acting since he was 9-years-old. Before his breakthrough role in Twilight movie series, he played Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl, appeared in one episode of My Wife and Kids as Tyrone, and even voiced Ned in What's New, Scooby-Doo?
Following his tenure in the Twilight series, Taylor Lautner appeared in popular franchise movies like Grown Ups 2 and also indie feature films like Run The Tide and Tracers. He even portrayed Dr. Cassidy Cascade in Scream Queens, and in 2022, played the supporting role of Troy Lambert in Netflix's Home Team. Taylor Lautner landed his breakout role as Jacob Black in Twilight, but following the conclusion of the saga with Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in 2012 the actor seemingly disappeared from the public eye. Euphoria season 2 adds a couple of new faces but keeps many of its season 1 characters — here is the cast of Euphoria. Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria hails from A24 and is loosely based on an Israeli television series of the same name while also drawing on Levinson's own experiences. After nearly 10 years on the platform, all seven seasons of the Zooey Deschanel-starring Fox comedy are exiting the platform on Sunday.
But fans will soon be able to reunite with Deschanel’s Jess, Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Winston (Lamorne Morris) and more on April 17 when New Girl starts streaming on Hulu and Peacock.
Later in the month, Netflix subscribers will lose access to Alex Gibney’s Julian Assange documentary We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks and Bill Nye: Science Guy, which follows the beloved children’s television host as he takes on the anti-science movement, including those who deny climate change and evolution.
By the end of the month, several movies will leave Netflix, including Leap Year, Road to Perdition and action films Den of Thieves and Empire State.

Cannes — Top European powerhouse Studiocanal has renewed its global deal with Nickelodeon which will board Season 3 of CG animated megahit “The Adventures of Paddington.”
Marking most surely one of the biggest single title content deals unveiled at this year’s Mipcom, the Nickelodeon renewal for Season 3 comes as Studiocanal has also unveiled a slew of second-window deals on Season 1 after the title’s hugely successful global rollout overseen, like Season 2, by Nickelodeon. It comes, moreover, just months after Studiocanal announced in June that Dougal Wilson is attached to direct “Paddington” 3, the third feature film in the franchise.
Together, the renewal, sales and new movie confirm “Paddington” as not only the biggest franchise at Studiocanal – at a time when the production-distribution-international sales giant is looking to expand its brand activity, says Studiocanal CEO Anna Marsh – but as one of the most powerful in Europe.

Neon has acquired North American and UK rights to the horror-drama Handling the Undead, marking the narrative feature debut of Thea Hvistendahl, who previously directed the documentary Adjø Montebello and several short films, including the SXSW Grand Jury Award-nominated Virgins4lyfe. The project reteams the distributor with Renate Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie, who starred in its Oscar-nominated romantic drama The Worst Person in the World, directed by Joachim Trier.
Handling the Undead picks up on an abnormally hot summer day in Oslo, as a strange electric field surrounds the city, with a collective migraine spreading across town. TVs, lightbulbs and electronics go haywire, the chaos reaching a debilitating crescendo when suddenly, it’s over.
The film currently in production is based on the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist, the renowned writer of bestselling horror novels and the screenplays Border and Let the Right One In, who co-wrote the script with Hvistendahl.

"Beauty and the Beast" truly is a tale as old as time, and has been retold in countless ways, like the Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton TV series of the same name, the Fran Drescher comedy "The Beautician and the Beast," the teen rom-drama "Beastly," or even in an episode of "Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater." Recently, legendary Japanese filmmaker Mamoru Hosoda delivered "Belle," a magnificent animated sci-fi fantasy film that thrusts the tale out of the world of old and into the techno future.
The story takes place in the not-so-distant future where the internet has evolved into a legitimate virtual reality called U, where avatars are created by users' scanned biometric information. A teenager named Suzu creates an avatar named Belle who becomes a pop superstar, but everything changes when her virtual concert is interrupted by the seemingly undefeatable fighter The Dragon (or "The Beast"), who she quickly becomes infatuated with.

"Are you team Edward or team Jacob?" If part of your middle school and high school years revolved around asking your friends this controversial question, you're probably familar with the film origins of Taylor Lautner, who split the "Twilight" fandom in two when he made his debut as teenage werewolf Jacob Black in 2008. In the nearly 14 years since the film first premiered, Lautner has remained a cultural icon for his performance as the shapeshifting teen. While longtime Twihards still reminisce about Jella fan fiction and Lautner's lengthy hair (it was a wig the whole time), the film franchise took a mental and emotional toll on the star that pushed him to step back from Hollywood.

Suretone Pictures and Lionsgate will co-finance “Creepers,” an adventure-horror film adaptation of author David Morrell’s book of the same name. Morrell is previously best known for writing “First Blood,” which kicked off the “Rambo” franchise.
Marc Klasfeld, a music video and commercial director, will make his feature directorial debut adapting the novel “Creepers.” He worked on the screenplay with a team of writers over the last four years.
“Creepers” is the story of a group of young urban explorers who, while investigating an old, boarded up, seemingly abandoned hotel, encounter danger at every turn. Zendaya is eying her next project: directing an episode of “Euphoria.”
The Emmy winner told Vogue Italia that she was actually supposed to helm Season 2, Episode 6, titled “A Thousand Little Trees of Blood,” for the hit HBO series. However, she didn’t have enough time to prepare as she was also acting in the episode.

“Cuckoo’s” ensemble cast is led by Schafer, and includes Stevens, Henwick, Marton Csókás, Jan Bluthardt and Greta Fernández. John Malkovich and Gemma Chan were previously attached to the pic, but dropped out due to timing issues, Variety has confirmed.
“Cuckoo” reunites Singer with “Luz” lead actor Bluthardt, as well as cinematographer Paul Faltz and production designer Dario Mendez Acosta. Simon Waskow will also return as composer and Henning Hein as sound designer.
