I got halfway through episode one and stopped. I have deleted the whole season. This was so bad that I can barely describe it.
I can actually imagine some people describing this as arty, hallucinogenic and progressive. It's not; it's just a huge mess.
None of this mixture of noxious people and events makes sense. Drug consumption and alcohol are ubiquitous in this vision of an apocalyptic night in a city in Germany. This is what the director is trying to convey in the usage of disjointed images and gruesome events, some illusory. However, it doesn't add up to a coherent whole and has no hook to reel viewers in. We cut to a police interview room occasionally that gives an impression of sanity and anchorage but it's as if the interrogations are part of a different programme entirely.
The one thing that did impress me is how the producers managed to get so many freaky people on set as extras all at one time. It's not going to put the rating up though. Not recommended. Avoid.
