NBC has released a bunch of trailers and clips for a new collection of TV series that they have been developing. We've got stuff from 1600 Penn, Infamous, Save Me, Next Caller, Do No Harm, The New Normal, Guys With Kids, and Go On. It will be interesting to what shows make it and what shows end up on the chopping block. Check out the trailers and clips and let us know which ones look good to you!
1600 Penn:
“1600 Penn” — The Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, children who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Jenna Elfman, “Dharma and Greg”) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everybody else. With one exception: they live in a very special house.

In advance of their official Upfronts presentation on Monday, NBC jumped the gun to be the first network to unveil their complete 2012-2013 schedule on Sunday.
The biggest story? "Community" is moving to Fridays, along with sophomore sitcom "Whitney," which will kick off that rather random new night of programming.
"Smash" is also being bumped -- all the way to midseason -- to make way for the premiere of "Revolution," a new thriller from J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke, which will air after "The Voice" on Mondays. And yes, that means "The Voice" will be back in the fall, giving it two cycles a year, as predicted.
NBC will also try their hand at airing comedies on Tuesday nights, with Matthew Perry's "Go On" and Ryan Murphy's "Th New Normal" getting paired together.
Also being saved for midseason are new sitcoms "Save Me," "1600 Penn" and "Next Caller," and new dramas "Do No Harm,...

The NBC pickup parade continues.
With seven new shows already announced by the network over the last week or so, the Peacock has given the green light to two more:
Do No Harm: A drama based on Steven DePasquale's neurosurgeon, a doctor with a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-type issue that causes major problems (as you might expect) at work and at home. Cast also includes: Alana de la Garza, Phylicia Rashad and Mousa Kraish. Infamous: Pretty much a rip-off of Revenge. Features Meagan Good as a detective who goes undercover inside a wealthy family in order to identity her friend's killer. Also stars: Victor Garber, Neil Jackson, Katherine Lanasa and Laz Alonso.
As for returning shows, NBC just announced renewals for 30 Rock and Parenthood.

Exclusive: David Schulner has signed a new rich two-year, seven-figure overall deal with Universal Television. Schulner is the creator/executive producer/showrunner of the Universal TV-produced Jekyll & Hyde-esque medical drama pilot Do No Harm. The NBC pilot, starring Steven Pasquale as a brilliant neurosurgeon wrestling with his dangerous alter-ego that threatens to wreak havoc on his personal and professional life, has been garnering strong early buzz. This marks the second pilot order for Schulner who burst into the scene in 2007 when his high-concept spec The Oaks, which sparked a bidding frenzy, ultimately landing at Fox with a series commitment and a seven-figure penalty. But the project, about the intertwined stories of three families living in the same house during different periods, became a victim of the writers strike, with neither Schulner nor Shawn Ryan, who came on board as showrunner, able to attend the pilot shoot which started on...

Universal Television has closed about a half-dozen overall deals over the past few weeks, with several more in the works. The completed pacts include renewals for Peter Berg & Sarah Aubrey’s production company Film 44 and writers Alexandra Cunningham and Michael Pennie and first-time agreements with Victor Fresco new Sarah Watson. The brisk deal-making comes months after NBC announced its plans to reestablish its production arm into a full-fledged studio, renamed it Universal Television and tapped Bela Bajaria to run it. Bajaria said the replenishing of the studio’s talent roster is part of “the long-term goal to rebuild Universal Television into a major supplier of quality, ground-breaking, successful dramas and comedies.” Last summer, the studio stepped up to re-up The Office and Parks & Recreation executive producer Greg Daniels and sign a pod deal with Peter Traugott. Both pacts resulted in pilots this season — Daniels wrote and executive produces comedy...

After the high profile and, what Hollywood execs like to call “high concept” shows of last week’s article, this week I will be going through new pilots which follow two trends I like to call “remaking is breaking” and “Desperate Housewives is over and Grey’s Anatomy has got to end sometime”.
Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives have been big ratings pulls in the coveted demographic (18-49 if you don’t know) for ABC and have meant big advertising bucks. And, even though Grey’s prolific creator Shonda Rhimes, who will be show running three to five shows next season depending on pickups, has claimed that Grey’s will move past eight seasons, there is a general sense that the show is on the decline and, coupled with the loss of Desperate Housewives at the end of the current season, there is a definite hole in the market.

Phylicia Rashad has joined the cast of NBC's Jekyll-and-Hyde-in-a-hospital pilot Do No Harm as everyone's sophisticated and loving, but stern mother. Clair Huxtable forever! We kid, we kid. TV Guide reports that Rashad will play the chief of surgery, who's very supportive of her staff but isn't afraid to "[call] things like she sees them." Harm stars Rescue Me's Steven Pasquale as a neurosurgeon with an evil alter ego whom he'd been able to keep in check thanks to medication — medication that has now stopped working. Duhn-duhn-duuuuhn.
