The film is a collection of Christmas stories based on the fairy-tales of the legendary Astrid Lindgren (the author of Carlson). Very beautiful animation - something new, not Pixar, and not Disney, and at the same time familiar, not revolutionary. In general, it was done very well. Harmoniously filmed: enough time is devoted to each fairy tale, about 10 minutes, at the same time, you do not have time to get bored. In addition, the animation is replaced by a feature film (where children communicate with an owl-storyteller).
I went with my 4-year-old son, it was his first time at the cinema. I sat through almost the entire film, that is, three out of four fairy tales (I got up early that morning and was hungry), which lasts about 50 minutes.
The fairy tales in their plot component and their implementation in the film are impressive and interesting not only for children, but also for adults - they are instructive and quite deep in meaning. The film is not oversaturated with any complex transitions, it is easy and exciting to watch - just what you need to watch with children during the Christmas holidays, in the New Year's atmosphere, which the picture conveys very well, gives a sense of a fairy tale and organic narration.
Picturesque Christmas night (the one on the poster), the Fox leaves the den to get food and meets the gnome Tomtom. Amazing gnome Nils Carson, an inhabitant of the mouse den under the bed, who finds a best friend - a boy whose parents go to work for the whole day and who is left all alone. Little Kaisa helps her sick grandmother with Christmas preparations.
The company Qvisten Animation has developed several wonderful cartoons, famous in Sweden and Norway.
