"Chaser Game" takes over TV Tokyo's Thursdays 24:30 time slot previously occupied by "Ryosangata Riko" and followed by "Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun" November, 2022.
Based on manga series "Chaser Game" by Hiroshi Matsuyama (published from September 13, 2019 to January 18, 2022 by Kadokawa).
Matsuyama Hiroshi, the writer of the original manga series is the president of CyberConnect2, a Japanese game production company which is best known for its .hack series (of which Matsuyama served as director). Although the name of the studio in the live-action version will be changed to DynamicDream, the production team made use of CyberConnect2's Tokyo Studio in order to film the office environment. Matsuyama is involved in some of the script creation but the drama itself will be penned by director, writer, and producer Ohta Yu.
