Brilliant story and fine characterization by Sheba Ghosh. Kazi is too good an attempt for a first time filmmaker who acted in it too. A must watch thriller that lingers in your mind.
What I liked the most about the film is the battle between the the mind reader and the dream watcher. It's quite interesting the way they battle it out for Roma who knows Kazi but not the secret behind the power. The character played by Shishir Sharma has a strong impact on the film. The film keeps you thinking throughout. Every sequence that seems just out of a fantasy film is explained well with a logic at the end. Bravo!

A very Good phycological thriller, keep it up Sheba, egar to see what next. Poster design is very eye catchy, your dop is brilliant 👏, your part of acting is brilliant, and overall project is good. In my point of view It is a critically acclaimed film. I like kazi's journey throughout the film, it is character driven story not plot driven but before seeing your film I think it is a plot driven story, and your film ending is little bit poetic, as a debut filmmaker it is a very good attempt. And last thing is your editor is brilliant, because to create some mysterious moments through editing is outstanding.
The Kaziman Rai Bahadur, a mysterious personality, takes you on a ride though the highs and lows of his life. In this slow burn mystery drama, which will keep you at the end of your wits, Kazi is not the only character that keeps on tugging you along. In the second half of the movie, the suspense has already reached a crescendo, and it becomes unbearable with so many unanswered questions. You start making your own theories about the characters surrounding the protagonist, to find yourself, losing to the imagination of the writer.
Sheba Ghosh has done an amazing job as a writer and director. Since the movie opened with a school sequence, and the protagonist seemed to have some special powers, one thinks of equating it with Matilda, but then as the story jumps to the unfortunate incident of a murder and miscarriage, the viewers may start thinking of Drishyam.
The movie is like Secret Life of Walter Mitty, if Walter Mitty was kept in a medical institution for clinically insane instead of his monotonous job.

At the outset let me make it clear that Kazi is neither one of those contrived mainstream thrillers nor is it your textbook arthouse film.
Sheba Ghosh debuting as a director and donning multiple hats (including a nice understated performance) has come up with a mind boggling psychological thriller.
The movie would definitely come across as a slow burner but your patience is surely going to be rewarded towards the end.
I don't want to reveal too many details and spoilers because I think Kazi is something you have to watch and experience.
Kudos to the entire team for having delivered such a unique feature and special credit to Sheba for a fantastic debut.
PS: I loved the bgm apart from a set of other things like the relatable dialogues, the characterisation and the unpredictability in the screenplay.
