Eddsworld has not only been a great piece on its own, but it has influenced so many other wonderful works of art that would not exist without this series. It's unique sense of humor and character development are some of the main reasons as to why it got so popular, along with being one of the pioneers of popular flash animation on websites such as Newgrounds. If you were to pick up some of the earlier episodes from a decade ago, its surprising how it holds up today. It might not be the best of whatever you may think, but it most certainly is plain dumb fun every step of the way, and it inspired so much with just the power of the internet.
Eddsworld is a great animated (flash) series that has been around for quite sometime. Why is it so popular? Why do people love it? What makes it funny? Here is why:
Eddsworld mixes a lot of funny and charming concepts together which makes it nearly impossible to hate. The series recognizes that it is a cartoon and that it shouldn't be taken too seriously. A nice thing about the show is that it is "innocent". The show never has an swearing (or serious swearing for that manner), doesn't have any innuendos, sexual jokes, or any coarse humor. This means that the show focuses directly on the humor and the characters and thankfully it succeeds in this.
The show stars four main characters: Edd, Tom, Matt, and Tord (but Tord left the show). None of the characters are really deep, profound, or extremely engaging but they ARE ALL ENTERTAINING! And this is what makes this show so addicting is that all of the characters are different from each other and each has their own traits. Edd is the main character who can't resist making puns, likes drinking coke, and generally optimistic. Tom is a bit more serious, violent, has no eyes, and is never happy. Matt is self-obsessed, dim-witted, but is generally in a good mood. Tord was extremely violent, more aggressive, and didn't talk as much. As time went on Tom starts to take the attributes of Tord. If there is one problem I have with the show is that I think all comedies are better with four characters, take the Marx Brothers for example.
The cartoons are fairly random and generally are about some random or wacky adventure that occurs. Again, the plot of the show isn't amazing but its wittiness, characters, and charm makes up for any of its short comings. I hope this show can continue for years to come, even with Edd gone (whom we all miss) the show still shows that it has a great sense of humor and character interaction.

This is an amazing series! I found this on the internet in 2019 with fun dead, it's a great series and i am excited to see where the crew for the show take it in the future of Eddsworld Beyond. All and all it's a great show that i cherish, it's characters are great, everything about is just Great!
This is the best animated series I've found on the internet. The settings and themes for each episode are so diverse, as opposed to the standard white void. The jokes are hilarious and quotable, and it's easy to love the characters. I wish this show was still being made.
Coming in with tons of episodes to keep you binge watching for weeks, this is the best web series next to madness combat!
