Last year, Umbrella Entertainment gave the 1985 creature feature Ghoulies (watch it Here) a Blu-ray release in Australia that contained three different cults of the movie, and also packaged it with its first sequel. Now Mvd Rewind Collection has announced that they’re giving Ghoulies a special edition release as well – and this one is going to be Blu-ray and 4K Uhd! The street date is September 12.
Directed by Luca Bercovici from a script he wrote with Jefery Levy, the first Ghoulies has the following synopsis: As a child, Jonathan (Peter Liapis) was almost killed by his father, Malcolm (Michael Des Barres), during a satanic ritual. After being saved and raised by Wolfgang (Jack Nance), who has kept him unaware of his background, Jonathan inherits Malcolm’s house and moves in with girlfriend Rebecca (Lisa Pelikan). Through his explorations of the house, he begins unlocking the secrets and latent powers contained within his new found home.

All For One and One For All are without question the two strongest Quirks shown thus far in My Hero Academia. Close behind is the Overhaul Quirk, wielded by the former young boss of the Shie Hassaikai, Kai Chisaki, who served as a primary antagonist in Season 4 of the anime.
Allowing its user to dissemble and reassemble matter into whatever form they desire, Overhaul has incredibly versatile capabilities for both destruction and healing. So why didn’t All For One, someone who has struggled with the condition of his broken body for most of My Hero Academia, ever try to take Overhaul for himself? He undeniably recognized Chisaki during his escape from Tartarus, so it only seemed logical that he would try to take the Quirk during the raid -- or even long before.

He’s an Oscar winner for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and beloved worldwide for his uniquely lo-fi, handmade aesthetic — a highly imaginative and visual DNA that has been liberally scattered across several decades of work, from music videos (think Daft Punk’s seminal Around the World) to commercials (such as the multi-award-winning Levi’s Drugstore), short films (including One Day, in which he’s chased out of toilet cubicle by David Cross dressed as a giant turd), documentaries (the Noam Chomsky starrer Is the Man Who Is Tall Happy?) and features (the delightful Be Kind, Rewind).
Although Michel Gondry is rarely not pouring his creativity into something (he recently turned to TV with the Jim Carrey-starring Kidding), the so-called Crown Prince of Whimsy’s feature output has been considerably less prolific of late, with his last coming in 2015 (the abundantly whimsical Microbe and Gasoline). Warning: Spoilers for chapter #385 of My Hero AcademiaAll For One's ultimate form makes its shocking appearance in My Hero Academia, and this version of the self-styled Demon Lord could be simply unstoppable, laying waste to all the heroes who were trying to stop him.
In chapter #385 of My Hero Academia, the desperate battle of the group of heroes who were trying to stop the villain All For One from reaching his "other self", Tomura Shigaraki, comes to an unexpected and tragic ending. After being apparently defeated by Endeavor, All For One rejuvenated his body using the Rewind Quirk, but the process has an unforeseen consequence. As he keeps getting younger, All For One also becomes wilder, losing his usual composure and letting go of his darkest self. This allows him to draw out the latent potential of his massive collection of powers, which spells the end for the heroes who were trying to stop him,...

In recent days, YouTube has been provocatively teasing and lowering expectations around its annual Rewind video -- a compendium of the year’s biggest viral moments and platform-wide trends, which typically arrives in the form of an original production set to buzzy music tracks.
But after last year’s disastrous Rewind video became the most-disliked video in the platform's history -- amid complaints that the company avoided controversial moments and steered clear of newsworthy creators in favor of a squeaky-clean, brand-safe approach -- YouTube took a decidedly different tract this time around. Rather than a narrative video, in which top creators were culled together to appear in different highly-produced scenes, this year’s Rewind -- subtitled For The Record -- is composed almost entirely of data-driven lists.
While this lends a slightly stale feeling to this year's video, it is an efficient approach that abdicates YouTube of being held accountable...

As YouTube seemingly becomes more massive every year, birthing new stars and ever-fragmented communities that are harder to collectively encapsulate, it’s not going to stop the world’s largest video platform from trying to sum it all up.
And as 2019 comes to a close -- ahead of the platform’s wildly polarizing Rewind compilation (rolling out later today), YouTube has shared several lists comprising the top videos of the year, which will be included in this year's anthology.
While last year’s Rewind received scathing response for sloppily steering clear of controversial moments and noteworthy creators, it looks like this year’s charts aren’t shying away from polarization, with James Charles’ No More Lies video being named the Top Trending Video of 2019 in the U.S. That video saw the 19-year-old beauty guru weathering an explosive scandal involving allegations of betrayal and sexual assault..

We’ve got a new extended trailer for you to watch for Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone. While I liked what I saw in the promo spots for "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet" and "The Comedian," this new trailer offers us a look at all the other episodes that the first season of the new series will entail. Personally, I like what I’m seeing!
The Twilight Zone is one of the greatest shows ever created, and while this revival won’t be as good as the original, it still looks like a solid series that will entertain and tell some interesting stories. I’m curious to see how this turns out.
You’ll also see many of the cast members in the series that includes Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogen, John Cho, Ike Barinholtz, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman,...

Chris O’Dowd is the latest actor to join the cast of the upcoming The Twilight Zone revival series. He will star alongside Amy Landecker in an episode called, “The Blue Scorpion”. I enjoy O’Dowd and his work! It’ll be fun to see what his episode will entail and what kind of character he’ll play.
Unfortunately, there are no details on the episode but O’Dowd joins the previously cast Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogen, John Cho, Ike Barinholtz, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, Zazie Beetz, Betty Gabriel, and Steven Yeun.

CBS All Access has just dropped the first full trailer for Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated revival of The Twilight Zone. This gives us our first real look at the stories that will be told in the first season. It actually looks like it’s going to be pretty good!
As you’ll see, they’ve made some pretty significant changes to some of the original episodes that are being remade. There are also a few little Easter eggs to keep a look our for as you watch the trailer because there are some things that you’ll recognize.
The new series is described as an anthology that will tell self-contained stories in every episode. Also, like its predecessors, it will lean on science fiction, fantasy, and horror to tell tales laced with social commentary.

Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) is headed to The Twilight Zone. The actor is set to star in one of the episodes that Jordan Peele is developing with writer Alex Rubens.
There are no details on what the episode will entail, but I like Nanjiani and it’ll be interesting to see what episode he’ll end up starring in. He will join Adam Scott, who was cast in the remake of the classic episode “Nightmare At 30,000 Feet”.
As far as the other episodes of the series goes, we know that they are also developing remakes of “Nick of Time” and “Rewind”. I hope that the series isn’t just remakes of classic episodes! I hope that they throw some original stories in the series as well.

The VHS tape was the way to watch movies at home in the 1980s and 90s and Disney stood out from the pack, releasing their movies in nice, plastic cases that opened up, as opposed to a cardboard slipcase. The white plastic paired with the iconic poster art were standouts in any home video collection and are a form of warm and fuzzy nostalgia for kids who grew up in the 80s and 90s. Disney has now taken that retro look and turned them into journals for you to write down your inner most secrets and thoughts.
Disney's new journals come in seven different versions of classics including The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Lady and the Tramp. The retro journals are sold for $15.99 and feature the iconic glossy VHS-inspired case. If that wasn't enough, the first and last pages of...

Tonight, Dove Cameron will make her grand entrance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s midseason premiere. The Disney Channel Original star joined the Marvel series back in November, though details surrounding her role were scarce at the time. Then, in January, ABC revealed two more clues about Cameron’s “cunning” character Ruby: her obsession with Quake and her relationship to General Hale, the woman who captured and interrogated Fitz in the flashback episode “Rewind.” As it were, Ruby is General Hale’s daughter, which may mean Ruby will get involved with her mother’s search for S.H.I.E.L.D. in some capacity.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team seem to have finally found a way home. So far, Season 5 has seen Coulson and his team stranded in a dystopian future, one where the Earth has been destroyed. Strangely, though, the story has teased that they’re there in fulfillment of an ancient prophecy – and that they may well be able to save the human race. The episode “Rewind” revealed the source of that prophecy, an Inhuman who has the power to see the future. Now, finally, the pieces are falling into place in the latest promo.

As the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. find their place in the future, one character continues to be a mystery for Director Phil Coulson and the team: Deke. Introduced in the Season 5 premiere, Deke has stuck by the team since they first arrived, but his methods and morals have left them all — and Daisy in particular — in precarious positions. However, if the flashback episode “Rewind” was any indication, Deke may be a lot closer to the team than anyone (including himself) realizes.
In “A Life Earned,” Deke offered the first real clue about his parents and their role in the True Believers. “I was nine… when my mother got dragged away and murdered,” he revealed. “Kasius got rid of all the elders, all the smart people, and she was one of them. And after she was gone, my dad took up the cause. He carried the torch for her and,...

The waiting will soon be over for fans of Syfy's Alphas TV series. At the TCA Winter Press Tour, BermanBraun co-founder Gail Berman told The Futon Critic that they expect to hear if Alphas has been cancelled or renewed this week.
The show completed its second season in October and averaged 1.3 million viewers. That's down by 30% when compared to the first season (1.85 million).
A decision is also expected on the fate of Rewind, their Syfy pilot about "a team of military field operatives and civilian scientists who must use untested technology to travel back in time to alter events and change the future."
BermanBraun produces Alphas, NBC's Deception, and the recently announced Camp. The company was founded in 2007 by Berman and former ABC Entertainment chairman Lloyd Braun.

While his name may not be instantly recognizable just yet, filmmaker Jack Bender has been linked to quite a number of high-profile projects since the end of the beloved series “Lost,” a show he served as both a producer and frequent director on. Since then, he’s taken the executive producer position on frequent collaborator J.J. Abram’s “Alcatraz,” and he piqued our interest when we heard he’d be directing a Syfy time-travel drama pilot called "Rewind" with David Cronenberg featuring in a guest role, but he’s still probably best known for jumping ship on Paramount’s major Jack Ryan reboot with Chris Pine set to take over the popular Tom Clancy-created character (Kenneth Branagh has since taken the reins).
Well it looks like he’s not exactly reeling from that loss, as THR now has word that is Bender is now working on a project called “Devolution,...

Well, with "Eastern Promises 2" looking like his next feature film, David Cronenberg will take a quick break and move to the small screen first. He's already going to make a rare acting gig in the SyFy pilot "Rewind," and he's got his own TV show brewing in "The Knifeman" which has now found a lead star.
Tim Roth has signed on to the project, which was first announced last year, and is now gearing up to be taken to networks. Executive-produced by Cronenberg, who will also direct the pilot, the show is based on the book of the same name by Wendy Brooks, and follows a doctor in the very early days of medicine who still stop at nothing to "uncover the secrets of the human body." So an old timey, body horror version of "House"? Sure, we'll go with that. Emmy-nominated writer-producer Rolin Jones ("Boardwalk Empire," "Friday Night Lights,...

We’ve been telling you about Rewind, a pilot being developed for Syfy. Most recently we told you about casting Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Jennifer Ferrin (The Cape), Keon Mohajeri, and Robbie Jones (Hellcats), joining star Shane McRae. Now, Syfy has issued a press release about not only the casting that we already know, but also a particularly great guest star: Jeff Fahey, also known as Lost fans’ favorite pilot Frank Lapidus.
He’ll be playing Ellis, a former Nasa aerospace engineer and now part of the time travel team around whom the show revolves. He is the spiritual backbone of the team; strong with a Zen-like wisdom and intensely loyal to team leader Bryce (McRae).
Ooo I can totally see him playing that, can’t you? And I am Really looking forward to it! Here’s the full press release; there’s some good info there, make sure to...

David Cronenberg certainly hasn't been lacking in things to do. The director has been in the midst of preparing/releasing back-to-back films: last year's underrated drama "A Dangerous Method" and the forthcoming "Cosmopolis," which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in a matter of weeks. And it looks like Cronenberg is ready to let someone else call the shots on set for the moment.
TVLine (via IndieWire) reports that the helmer will guest-star on SyFy's time-travel drama pilot "Rewind," which we didn't know existed and didn't care about until now, and which of course we now want to watch. Directed by "Lost" helmer and former Jack Ryan reboot director Jack Bender, the show will tell the tale of a bunch of military and scientist types who travel back in time so they can change the future and prevent a terrorist attack. So what's next for the channel that has given us plenty of things that have gone bump in the night along with more CG monsters than anyone could possibly keep up with? Read on for details of Syfy's "upfront" presentation.
As you'd expect from a network named Syfy, several of these projects are more sci-fi than horror, but we thought we'd pass on all the news anyway:

It’s always encouraging when more cast members are signed up for a pilot. We already felt pretty solid about Syfy’s Rewind because of Syfy‘s press release about it last month, but still, it never hurts to see that more positive steps are taken in production.
Deadline has broken the news that Oscar-nominated actor Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Jennifer Ferrin (The Cape), Keon Mohajeri, and Robbie Jones (Hellcats) have now been added to the cast of the two-hour pilot, joining Shane McRae who had been announced in last month’s press release. Here’s an excerpt from that release to remind us of just exactly what the series is about, and of McRae’s role in it:

Syfy's time-traveling pilot "Rewind" is getting a little star power now that Keisha Castle-Hughes has signed on. Castle-Hughes, probably best known as the 12-year-old star of the 2002 film "Whale Rider," will play Priya, an historian on a military team that travels back in time to change past events in an effort to avoid a future terrorist attack. Cast with Castle-Hughes are Jennifer Ferrin, Robbie Jones and Keon Mohajeri. Ferrin, who played Dana Faraday in NBC's short-lived "The Cape," will take on the rule of young genius scientist Bryce. Jones, of "One Tree Hill" and the short-lived "Hellcats," will play Danny, a friend of main character Henry Knox (played by Shane McRae), and the one person who Knox trusts the most. Mohajeri, who last year was named one of Canada's rising stars, ...

Justin Marks’ TV show “Rewind” on the Syfy Channel has cast its first male lead: Shane McRae. (Now that’s the made-up Hollywood name for an action hero if I’ve ever heard one. One from the Deep South, most likely, whose down home charms hide a deadly killer. Or some such.) The show, about “a team of military field operatives and civilian scientists who must use untested technology to travel back in time to alter past events in order to change the future and avoid a devastating terrorist attack”, will premiere with a 2-hour pilot that’s set to shoot in April. McRae will play Henry Knox, an ex-Special Forces operator who now plies his trade as a field operative in a special division of the Department of Homeland Security.
