Through Tommy Nilsson is a veteran voice actor this is the first time he has ever appeared in a live action film.
The Swedish title translates to "The scapegoat". The international is instead a literal translation of the working title originating from the Swedish expression "[Nu går] skam på torra land", meaning that something has gone to far. The origin is "an amount of shamelessness, enough to flood the ground" (Svensk ordbok), while "skam" is also a noa-name for the devil. In an interview with Swedish newspaper "Dagens nyheter", director Petersén says that the international title is gibberish to an international audience, and that it is intended.
