Weekly Shonen Jump's Witch Watch anime series adaptation has dropped its latest trailer, revealing its release dates for both streaming and its North American theatrical premiere. The anime series' theme song by Yoasobi, known for their popular J-pop titles and anisongs like Oshi no Ko's "Idol," can also be heard in the new trailer.

Mainichi Broadcasting System (Mbs) released a new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Weekly Shonen Jump manga Witch Watch, set to premiere on streaming on April 6, 2025. The anime's theme song, "Watch me!" by Yoasobi, and new poster art were also released. As previously announced, Mbs agreed a partnership with Adn, Aniplus, Tropics and Gkids to premiere the first three episodes and exclusive interviews in theaters under the name Witch Watch: Watch Party. It's easy for any anime fan to find a popular new title to try, such as action series like Kaiju No. 8 or romance anime like Komi Can't Communicate, but the real fun is finding hidden gems or half-forgotten anime. Those titles feel like a fresh treat when anime fans stumble upon them on the major streaming platforms, and even if those anime were never 10/10 classics, they are still rewarding to watch after being found in remote corners of the anime world.

Major anime streaming service Crunchyroll has been accused of ostracizing and failing to respond to the verbal abuse of an employee with a mental health diagnosis, before later firing him from the company.

A post from former Crunchyroll Senior Software Engineer Shawn Hoffman detailed serious allegations regarding his treatment following his mental health struggles. Hoffman shared on LinkedIn that his mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, making 2024 the "hardest year" of his life. After Hoffman shared his diagnosis of anxiety and major depressive disorder with the company, he alleged that instead of support, he received hostility, and was met with ostracization, verbal abuse and later, termination.
