Honestly not that bad

I tend to rate very harshly cheap thrillers, but this one, while still being cheap, is actually not so bad. I normally hate Colton Haynes' acting too, but he raised the level of the movie here.

If you've watched the Tinder Swindler documentary and are already familiar with the stupidity of lending thousands and thousands of dollars to a stranger, then this is a 'nice' movie to watch. But I also liked the fact that they didn't do a copy-paste of the documentary but brought their own twists to the story instead.

At the end of the day it's still a cheap movie so it's hard for me to rate it above 5, but it is decent.

I know people get scammed, but some of this was cringey.

I know this was based on true events and unfortunately romance scams are alive and well. I've seen posts of women who have been scammed out of $20K, $40K and even $100K.

Parts of this movie were cringey. I'm sure they accelerated the timeline of events and it probably would have been better told as a docu-series instead of trying to do it in a Lifetime movie format.

There were a few times where I literally said "she can't be that gullible to pay for a bill like that and that high and then from there on everything else that ensued.

A docu-series on Lifetime would have been better and it would probably help more people, especially ladies to stop giving money to men, no matter the circumstances.

NOBODY could be that dumb...

Just when you think you've seen the dumbest LMN woman ever, a new contestant rears her empty head. It would be great to know exactly WHAT real events this movie is based on, because documentation is needed to even believe it could have happened.

She knows the guy for a few minutes, pays over $1000 on a bar tab, then takes him to her hotel room and proceeds to begin several nights of unprotected sex which leads surprise to a pregnancy. She and her friends believe that he is ordering them brand new Mercedes and she 'buys' his lines of unlimited riches, houses everywhere, blah, blah, blah.

This movie is a huge lesson in caveat emptor.

Double Trouble!

Louisa is at a work conference in Chicago and spends the weekend. She and her friend go out to a bar and meet angel investor, handsome Mitch Johnson. Little does she know that the guy is a con man who cheats on women and has an identical twin to make matters even worse! Louisa becomes smitten with him and ends up getting pregnant with his baby which he has no intention of supporting. But which twin is the father? Louisa realizes she's been played and tries to find out all she can about Mitch and his con game to get even with him. This movie had a lot of layers, a well-written script, and good actors making it quite entertaining and watchable, based on a true story. Highly recommended!!!

As a comedy it could be quite good. But not this time.

It could be quite good as a comedy because acting is so weak that you just can't stop laughing. But still not funny enough to recommend watching this movie. Don't make the same mistake I did, this movie is not worth your time. There are so many good films in the world that a lifetime would not be enough to watch them.

Although the script is quite good and deserves to be made into a great movie. Maybe someday later some producer will decide to do this, hire great actors, show how to make a movie and earn a lot of money.

Therefore, I will not retell the plot here, let the story be left for the future film, then it will be possible to write a full review.
