Maybe watch if you're bored like I did? The premise is cheesy so I just skip past the intro and pageantry in the beginning. I like cooking comps and found it interesting to see what the chefs did with their ingredients.
The biggest problem is the way they judge the food. There is only 1 judge so it's totally up to their personal bias / preference if they like a dish. Some of the judges are a joke like the episode with Jose Garces (sp?) that everyone has rated so low and is complaining about. Some judges are ok. If they kept the judging blind the entire show, maybe it would be ok but they don't. They reveal the chefs after the first taste. Why?! Sometimes it doesn't matter much but sometimes it makes a huge difference. Like if there a Japanese chef v a "titan". When of the two dishes one is Japanese and one isn't, it's pretty darn clear who made what. I would maybe watch the next season if they fix the judging but after the last episode of season 2, I don't think I would stomach watching another chef getting beaten down by bad judging.

I love this show so much but the stylist needs to do better for brooke and her hair stylist. She is so gorg and they make her look like a a character in a where's waldo puzzle. PLEASE help her! She deserves it! The latest episode of the horizontal stripped collared top with the hot pink pants was just rude to put her in! On a brighter note, Tiff slays all day and they dress her based on her personality and it works so well. Michael wears regular clothes so I don't have much to say. Overall, the food they make looks so good and maybe the competition is rigged at some point but I am usually distracted by brooke's outfits. Please fix this so I can focus more on the show!!!
I like the concept and the fact that one chef has the chance for $25,000. But like another reviewer said, Bobby shouldn't be helping out his "titans" at all. It's not fair. And the fact that they have one chef judging the competitors means that you're at the mercy of this one judge's tastes. Two or even three judges would make it fair because you're not worried about one judge who may be picky or not impartial.
I also find Bobby's ingredients to be a little boring compared to his Beat Bobby Flay ingredients that he picks. These chefs are professionals. It would make sense to challenge them a bit more. Maybe the new season will be different.

This could have been the best cooking show ever. The "home team" of Brooke Williamson, Michael Voltaggio and Tiffany Derry are as talented a collection of brilliant and innovative young chefs as you 'll ever see. My problem with the show is that it is often spoiled by egomaniac judges suffering from "I've gotta be the smartest person in the room" syndrome (Hi Frank!) There needs to a baseline of talent and taste in the selection of judges. Not just any bozo who happens to drink with Bobby Flay. If they took pains to seek out informed, Knowledgeable judges who actually judged the food in front of them rather than indulging in their pre-conceived notions and prejudices, this could be the best cooking competition show ever aired. As it stands, it's not.
The episode with Iron Chef Jose was a perfect example of inconsistent judging. The judges are sometimes very critical and say a dish is well balanced then they say it needs more seasoning... how does that make common sense?
The Dish Brooke made was in no way the caliber of dish and work that Jose put into his dish. The judge was not sophisticated enough to understand his dish. She should never be a judge again!
Honestly it was embarrassing to see that the judge would be so unintelligent! She was not a good or fair judge. Her expert just went down the tubes in my book. I love Brooke, I love all the Titians, but the game has to be fairly judged.
This is not the only episode that was to disappoint.

- GoofsVery poor editing in the first episode. When watching Michael V prep it switches back and forth of him with his apron on and off. (He wasn't doing this, it was the poor editing).
