Dallas Comic Con's Fan Days 2014 wasn’t as hectic an event as May’s monstrous blow-out, but it still provided plenty of fun for attendees. Held back at the familiar Irving Convention Center, it was better organized than in the past and only had some minor issues.

The biggest draws of the week came from the media guests. After folks got over the disappointment of several canceled appearances, there still found plenty to do. A mini-Goonies reunion occurred with Corey Feldman and Ke Huy Quan sitting mere feet from each other. Sean Astin was in attendance as well, completing not only that partial reunion, but a Lord of the Rings one with fellow guest Elijah Wood.

Having met Corey Feldman years before at Texas Fearfest, I wanted to catch up with the busy former Lost Boy and Goonie. His new movie The M Word is about to come out on DVD for one.

Sean Astin was doing a live HuffPost interview in support of his new comedy Moms' Night Out when he was surprised by guest Corey Feldman, who also has The M Word currently in theaters. It's not those two movies that had the former co-stars talking, though. It was the thought of reuniting for The Goonies 2 that got them both excited. And it sounds like it's a real thing.

Director Richard Donner dropped the news last month that a sequel to the 1985 classic children's adventure was moving forward, and that executive producer Steven Spielberg came up with the story idea. Sean Astin confirms that in the following video:

We have your first look at the trailer, which brings former child star turned author, musician and ice skater Feldman back to the big screen for the first time in over a decade. Opening in Los Angeles and New York in April before expanding wider, The M Word follows the personal changes at a local TV station that is threatened by economic downturn, possible in-house theft and massive job loss. They decide to subvert all of this by taking on an ill-advised documentary about Menopause. Henry Jaglom directs this indie comedy, which also stars Michael Imperioli, Frances Fisher, Gregory Harrison and Julie Davis.

The M Word was released in 2013 and stars Tanna Frederick, Michael Imperioli, Frances Fisher, Mary Crosby, Gregory Harrison, Julie Davis, Eliza Roberts, Zack Norman. The film is directed by Henry Jaglom.
