Spinners

We really enjoyed this series. Our family watched the show religiously every Wednesday. It felt authentic and true to the local culture. A lot of action, suspense and unexpected events, it keeps you glued to the screen. We enjoyed learning about the spinning culture and seeing it in action. It was nerve wrecking watching some of the spinning scenes!

The actors are brilliant and you feel like you get to know them very well. The scenes are well executed and the cinematography is 10/10.

Makes me proud to be South African and this series shows how good our film industry is! Brilliant team and I look forward to more from the team behind spinners.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of this show. Blown away by how good and believable most of the actors were. Felt really proud to be a Capetonian watching this as it gave a really authentic glimpse into how tough it is as a child growing up on the Cape Flats. My first time watching a South African tv series and going through so many range of emotions. I was hoping for an ending that would have more of a crescendo but I still can't wait for season 2. I'm not sure if perhaps my hormones were acting up but I found myself close to tears a few times watching this

Oh, let me tell you about this local South African production called "Spinners"-it was an absolute thrill ride! Set right here in Cape Town, it felt like a movie that not only entertained me but also took me on a journey through familiar places near my home. The action-packed scenes were like a rollercoaster, keeping me on the edge of my seat. And does the camera work? Pure magic! It captured the essence of Cape Town in such a stunning way that I felt like I was right there in the midst of the action. The storyline was top-notch, weaving together drama and adrenaline-pumping moments seamlessly. Kudos to the creators for bringing such an epic piece of local entertainment to life! If you haven't seen it yet, you're definitely in for a treat. I really hope there is season 2!
