We Got A Dog

Having seen quite a lot of horror shorts, I'd say this is definitely one of the better ones. The story is simple but effective, the execution is solid, and the film doesn't rely on jump scares like many others in the genre. There's a genuine horror element here, and the story unfolds in the best possible way-you almost think it's heading toward a happy ending, but of course, it doesn't. After all, what kind of horror film ends happily?

The acting is also quite good, especially for a short film. I believe the director mentioned that this short was originally created as a fun piece for a directors' meeting held every two months, but it has since gone on to win some awards. I'm not surprised.

Unfortunatelly , a confusing plot , working more as a sort of joke. Very simple story in circle, large zones of ambiguity and need of serious explanations.

Sure, fair tension, fair atmosphere, reasonable dialogue.

But the sense of story just missing. And the dog ? Maybe, in this case, pet sounds better.

A couple and his surprise for here. A misterious been , remembering more a mythological character. And a sort of revelation of truth , making the things more than unclear.

In many short films, the imagination of viewer can offer nice explanations about a sort confuse plot. It is not this case. Because all is only...absurd or improvised or a sort of joke.
