RuPaul's Drag Race Live has been serving Las Vegas realness since 2020. Five years (and countless tucks) later, the concert residency celebrated its 1,000th performance on Sunday, and a chorus of queens from MTV's RuPaul's Drag Race commemorated the occasion by strutting their stuff on the pink carpet. The Queen of Drag herself, RuPaul Charles, also made a surprise appearance.

The immersive stage show takes place nightly at the Flamingo Showroom at the Flamingo Hotel. The cast is constantly changing to allow for new contestants, with the current lineup consisting of Jaida Essence Hall, Morphine Love Dion, Ginger Minj, Asia O'Hara, and Plane Jane.

After two weeks of celebrating Vietnamese storytelling, Viet Film Fest 2024 (Vff) proudly announces the successful conclusion of its largest edition to date, drawing record-breaking attendance and ticket sales! Presented by The Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association (Vaala), Viet Film Fest features a wide selection of Vietnamese and Vietnamese diasporic films, having nearly 39 shorts and 11 feature films. Viet Film Fest, held virtually from October 5 to 20 and in-person at The Frida Cinema in Downtown Santa Ana from October 11 to 13, featured a diverse lineup of films by both local and international filmmakers. Turkish star Meryem Uzerli, who is known globally for her role as a former slave who becomes the powerful wife of Ottoman emperor Suleiman in Turkish megahit soap “Magnificent Century,” is headed to Mipcom with a new age-gap romance show titled “Ru.”

Uzerli will be making the trek to Cannes for the international launch of “Ru,” which is produced by Turkish TV powerhouse Medyapim. In the show she plays Rayyan a 38-year-old, who is struggling in her marriage and becomes romantically involved with a 20-year old man named Ozar.

“Ru,” which treads similar tropes as Prime Video’s “The Idea of You” – albeit with a Turkish flavour – will be presented to buyers at an event held by Turkish distributor Madd Entertainment in the Cannes Carlton Grand Salon on Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. with Uzerli on hand.
