Tom Holland should be best known for his role as Spider-Man, or one of his other highly-praised acting roles, yet that is never what people who meet him want to talk about. Instead, they want to talk about the jaw-dropping moment Holland donned fishnets and performed Rihanna’s “Umbrella” on Lip Sync Battle.
While appearing on Gordon Ramsay’s show, Scrambled, Holland reflected on his 2017 drag performance on the reality competition that pitted two celebrities against each other in, as the title suggests, a lip-sync battle. As it turns out, Holland’s adversary on the show was none other than his now partner, Zendaya, but he may not have put in quite such a memorable performance if he had followed some advice he was given by his father. Holland said:
“What was really great about that is people didn't know that I could dance. I kept that quiet, I don't know why.

In 2017, MCU starTom Holland performed a forever iconic lip sync to Rihanna's "Umbrella" in a battle against his now-fiancé Zendaya, and now, he's opening up about it. Lip Sync Battle was a reality competition show that first aired on Paramount Network (formerly Spike) on April 2, 2015. The show ran for 5 seasons from 2015 to 2019.
Lip Sync Battle's concept involved two different celebrities competing against each other every week, who would have to prepare two lip-sync performances, and then the audience would decide the winner. In addition to Holland, many other notable celebrities who have appeared on the show include Channing Tatum, Kathy Bates, Kaley Cuoco, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, and more.
While a guest on Gordon Ramsay's talk show Scrambled, Holland opened up about his 2017 performance in Lip Sync Battle in drag, and how wearing fishnets was his idea. During Ramsay's show, Holland admitted that he loved showcasing his...

Tom Holland’s “Lip Sync Battle” performance was a family affair.
On a recent episode of Gordon Ramsay’s “Scrambled,” the “Spider-Man” star went behind the scenes on his 2017 rendition of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” on the Spike competition show.
Holland’s performance was a bait and switch for the audience, starting as a performance of “Singin’ in the Rain” before quickly switching to “Umbrella.” During the transition, Holland trades his suit for a dress, fishnets and a wig. He appeared on the episode with his fiancée Zendaya.

Holland, Tom Holland? Rumors have been flying about the casting of the next James Bond and the Spider-Man actor’s name has been among them.
During an appearance in an episode of Gordon Ramsey’s YouTube series Scrambled, Holland addressed the ongoing conjecture, calling the role the “pinnacle” of working as an actor.
“Listen, there’s speculation at the minute,” Holland said when Ramsey joked about the potential of playing Bond. “We’ll keep it to a minimum for now.”

James Bond is one of the most recognizable characters of all time, and many great actors have left their mark after playing him. Following Daniel Craig's run as Bond in several films, everyone is looking forward to finding out who the next star is.
Many British actors have been fancasted in the role, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Taron Egerton, and more. Among the casting rumors is Spider-Man's Tom Holland, who has experience in the action genre beyond his role as the superhero character. In a new interview on Gordon Ramsey's Scrambled, Holland finally addressed the rumors.
The interview, meant to promote Holland's alcohol-free beer brand Bero, has the actor join famous chef Gordon Ramsey on a cooking experience, which led to many interesting topics. One of them was James Bond. Around the 9:40 mark, the famous chef asked Holland whether he ever considered playing a character...

Tom Holland has tried to tame surging rumours that he is front-runner to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond, telling Gordon Ramsay during a July 31 instalment of the YouTube show Scrambled that talk of 007 is “just speculation for now… we’ll get there one day.”
The 29-year-old’s caution has done little to cool industry chatter: Amazon MGM’s new Bond regime is understood to be compiling a shortlist of British actors under 30, and sources name Holland, Jacob Elordi and Harris Dickinson among those under active consideration.
Producer Barbara Broccoli signalled the youth pivot last November, saying the next 007 would likely be in his 30s and that “whiteness is not a given,” a break from past casting orthodoxies. Holland, for his part, has pursued the role before: in 2021 he pitched Sony an origin-story Bond film centred on a teenage spy, an idea the studio declined.
The timetable appears to align.

When the "Scream" franchise was successfully restarted in 2022 by the directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, fans of 1990s slasher flicks immediately began clamoring for a third trip to the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" universe -- at which point they were reminded of the direct-to-dvd "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" from 2006, and realized this would actually be the fourth entry in the property.
If you're now scrambling to catch up with this third sequel that you either skipped or plain didn't know about prior to reading the last paragraph, a word of advice: don't bother. It's set in a different town and introduces a whole new group of characters who get stalked and offed by the hook-wielding Fisherman. Also, it's awful. Because of that, I sincerely doubt it will receive more than possibly a jokey reference in the forthcoming "I Know What You Did Last Summer,...

It isn’t often that we come across just and faithful adaptations and in that aspect, Solo Leveling takes the cake with its superior animation and stellar visuals. It is a visual masterpiece par excellence.
With A-1 Pictures headlining the second season, it is set to outdo the previous one. That, in turn, sets a contrast with other manhwas that are seemingly plagued by the curse of botched adaptations.

Earlier this year, while talking about a movie called Let Go, I came to the realization that emotional family dramas scare me more than some of the most grotesque horror flicks out there. To be a little more specific, in order to align this review with the topic of today’s discussion, I’m alright with deciphering the underlying themes and messages in horror movies about pretty much everything related to what women have to go through. Baby Ruby was a haunting look at postpartum depression. Birth/Rebirth saw Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein through the lens of motherhood. Clock came down hard upon IVF. Immaculate highlighted the connection between religion and the bodily autonomy of women. Mother! confused me a lot, but I eventually came around to its commentary on the relationship between humans and Mother Earth. And, yes, these impacted me deeply. But I was even more moved by films like Together Together,...

Freddie Prinze Jr. has joined the cast of “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” a sequel to the 1997 horror film in which he starred opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe.
Of the original cast members, Hewitt is in talks to reprise her role as well. Until her contract is finalized, Prinze is set to star alongside Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Haur-King. Camila Mendes was supposed to be in the film, but the “Riverdale” actor recently exited the project due to scheduling conflicts.
It’s unclear where the upcoming sequel will pick up, but the original “I Know What You Did Last Summer” follows four teens from a small seaside town stalked by a hook-wielding killer one year after covering up a car accident that was believed to be fatal. Sony announced on Thursday that its new I Know What You Did Last Summer film from director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) will be released via Columbia Pictures on July 18, 2025.

Launching the careers of Hewitt, Prinze, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe, the franchise kicked off with 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, which introduced viewers to four friends who’ve accidentally run over a pedestrian while driving on a coastal road one night. In their panic, they decide to dispose of the body in the ocean and vow never to speak of the incident again. However, a year later, they start receiving cryptic messages from someone who seems to know about their dark secret. The situation...

Exclusive: Saturday Night Live star Ego Nwodim has been tapped as the female lead opposite Adam Pally and Stephen Curry in the single-camera Peacock comedy series Mr. Throwback. Her casting is not expected to impact her duties on the NBC sketch comedy series, which is in the same corporate family.
The Mr. Throwback mocumentary, from Happy Endings creator David Caspe and writing duo Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman, centers on Danny (Happy Endings alum Pally), a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA great Steph Curry.
Nwodim will play Kimberly, Steph’s childhood friend, business partner, manager and essentially his overall handler. Kimberly, Steph, and Danny all grew up together, and while Kimberly is happy to see Danny pop back up in their lives, he’s not about to let Steph get taken advantage of by any of Danny’s schemes.

A year ago it was announced that a sequel to the 1997 cult horror classic I Know What You Did Last Summer was in development with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson set to direct. Now we've got a new update from writer Leah McKendrick who recently joined Collider's Perri Nemiroff for an episode of Collider Dailies in celebration of her feature directorial debut, Scrambled. The original film starred Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. and grossed $125.3 million from a $17 million budget, with a sequel quickly being released the next year. However, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer was poorly reviewed and only grossed $84 million on a budget of $24 million. A direct-to-video sequel, I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, was released in 2006.

The following contains spoilers for Scrambled.
This article references pregnancy loss.
Scrambled is a dramedy inspired by director, writer, and star Leah McKendrick's personal experience of going through the process of egg-retrieval. The film reflects McKendrick's decision to freeze her eggs and addresses themes of personal growth and reflection. McKendrick's script struck a chord with other professional women in Hollywood who had also gone through the procedure, resulting in the film receiving a larger budget and backing from Lionsgate.
Scrambled is a tour-de-force by Leah McKendrick, who directed, wrote, and starred in the film, but is it based on real life? Scrambled comes after McKendrick penned the script for M.F.A. and appeared in films like Bad Moms and The Turkey Bowl. Scrambled is a more grounded dramedy about a woman in her mid-30s who decides to take proactive steps toward eventually having children. This proved to...

Often dramatic, lurid and emotionally fraught, biopics can be gratuitous in their portrayals of real-life figures. Bob Marley: One Love defies genre convention with its subtle, gentle approach. Rather than exploring the entirety of Marley's life story, One Love zeroes in on a particular, pivotal era in Marley's life. Vignettes of Marley's past -- including his childhood, his discovery of the Rastafari religion and meeting his wife Rita -- are featured in hazy memory sequences, Bob Marley: One Love is a smaller, intimate, and more insular portrait of the artist and his closest friends.
In the mid 1970s, Jamaica is viciously divided, struggling with great political unrest. In the midst of the chaos, Bob Marley decides to throw a concert, intending to unite the country. However, when violence strikes close to home, Marley embarks on a self-imposed exodus and is soon followed by his friends, bandmates and family.

Leah McKendrick's directorial debut movie, Scrambled, is equal parts sincere and snarky in all the best ways. A cutting jab at modern adulthood and an exploration of womanhood that never forgets to turn its critical lens on itself, Scrambled—also starring and written by McKendrick—is an impressive showcase for the filmmaker. Finding the right balance between acidic and charming so that it can remain hilarious even as it becomes more emotional and dramatic, Scrambled is a must-see for comedy fans and a great showcase for a McKendrick on a lot of levels.

With 2024 only about six weeks old, filmgoers are getting a very interesting family comedy/drama that isn’t a “holdover” from the previous year’s limited Oscar-qualifying run. As with last weekend’s Scrambled, this is the feature film directing debut of a writer/actress, though she’s not working in front of the camera. And this is almost an autobiography, with some name changes and a few names that were real people in the news. Actually, they were in the headlines, so it’s a fictionalized story with a true event as its backdrop, similar to the Jack and Rose romance of Titanic. And it all figures into an engaging “coming of age” story that happened in the sunny, but often turbulent, vacation spot known as Suncoast.
And, as you might have guessed, that spot was down in Florida about twenty years ago. Teenager Doris (Nico Parker) is stressed...

My acting professor told us not to expect to get anywhere in showbiz until we’d given it 10 years. He was right.
It was right at that 10 year mark (when I was 32) that I was able to say goodbye to my day jobs as a makeup counter girl and a social media manager. I could finally pay the rent with my acting and screenwriting gigs alone!
Meanwhile in Chicago, my best friend had a high-powered career in marketing, a husband, a four bedroom house, a 401k, two kids and a black lab.
See, Time is but a construct in L.A. It’s the land of Samuel L. Jackson getting his big break at 45. George Clooney tying the knot for the first time at 53. And congrats to 80-year-old Bobby De Niro on his brand new baby!
Liberating, right? As long as you don’t read the fine print.

Scrambled explores the challenges and uncertainties of a woman's journey to finding herself and reconciling societal expectations. The film's comedic approach and relatable portrayal of a woman at a crossroads make it a worthwhile experience. While the ending may feel too conventional, the film's overall message of empowerment and the importance of personal choice resonates.
Scrambled starts out strong. The iconic Ego Nwodim helps set up the story as Nellie’s (Leah McKendrick) best friend, Sheila, the blushing bride who is a total wreck on her wedding day. She is anxious about her choices and compliments Nellie for her seemingly wise decision not to be an adult. Nwodim and McKendrick have great chemistry together, and by introducing us to Nellie through this interaction, we are set up to experience an emotional character arc of a woman finding herself at a crossroads.

It seems like only yesterday that we were all ragging on the millennial cohort for youthful foibles like excess avocado consumption and crushing student debt accrual. But time, with its trademark humorlessness, has marched on and suddenly, the self-same kids who coined “adulting” to hashtag their Insta stories about that time they put up a shelf, are discovering how much less fun it is to be adult-ed — ready or not.
In the enjoyably salty-till-it-gets-too-sweet “Scrambled,” Nellie is definitely in the “not” category, but that doesn’t matter to her ovaries. At 34, they’re starting to slow down their egg production, forcing hard-partying, sexually adventurous Nellie, whose journey to date has been an exercise in life-decision-making avoidance, to consider her options. When exactly should you let go of the child inside you, in order to embrace the possibility of having a child inside you?

Things are bleak right now at the box office. January only had a few wide-release movies led by "The Beekeeper" and "Mean Girls" to help keep theaters afloat. There's been a significant downturn in ticket sales and the industry can ill-afford such things after the pandemic decimated theater owners. So, who is coming to the rescue? The hope is that it will be Matthew Vaughn with his latest spy flick, "Argylle." Whether or not audiences will turn up in a meaningful way for the original blockbuster remains to be seen.
The film hails from Apple Original Films and will eventually make its way to Apple TV+. Fortunately, much like "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "Napoleon" before it, Apple is giving this one a wide theatrical release, with Universal Pictures handling distribution. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" legacy sequel repeats the mistake of relying too much on nostalgia. The new sequel will retcon the ending of "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer." The success of the sequel is not guaranteed, despite Easter eggs and references to the previous movies.
I Know What You Did Last Summer’s legacy sequel is in the works, but it’s already repeating two of the biggest mistakes in horror requels. The trend of reboots, requels, and legacy sequels in the horror genre continues to grow strong, and now joining this wave is I Know What You Did Last Summer. Over two decades after the release of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, a legacy sequel has been announced to be in development, with original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. in talks to reprise their roles and lead this new story.

Leah McKendrick proves herself as a triple threat: writer, director, and actor, crafting hilarious comedies that capture the everywoman experience. The script of Scrambled is filled with sharp dialogue, rapid-fire jokes, and morsels of insight, delivering a perfect balance of sentiment and uproarious humor. Scrambled is an inventive and laugh-out-loud indie comedy that pokes fun at stereotypes, making it relatable and enjoyable for everyone and a must-see hit.
It’s rare to come across a new and exceptional storyteller who manages to capture the human experience so brilliantly. Remember how you felt when Lena Dunam unearthed Tiny Furniture, then Girls? Leah McKendrick follows similar suit with the release of Scrambled. The writer, director, and star of the engaging, irreverent R-rated comedy is a delightful triple threat—she’s smart, shrewd, and funny. A rare comedic force, she fills her new single female-positive comedy with great bon mots and moments of refreshing hilarity.

Things get very eggs-istential in Scrambled, the hilarious new comedy from Leah McKendrick, who’s been generating buzz for penning the I Know What You Did Last Summer requel directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge). McKendrick wrote, directed, and starred in her new film based on her own experience deciding to freeze her eggs.
The irreverent, witty, and heartwarming indie movie tracks eternal bridesmaid Nellie Robinson (McKendrick) feeling the biological clock ticking amidst thirtysomething life and bleak romantic prospects. The upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel will include Easter eggs and nods to the original film for old school fans. The sequel is part of a recent horror genre trend of crafting direct follow-ups to prior hits, with mixed success among recent movies like Scream and Candyman. The writers of the sequel may choose to retcon the previous films in the franchise to create a fresh story, allowing for potential Easter eggs and new interpretations.
With three movies and a show preceding it, writer Leah McKendrick teases some of the Easter eggs to come in the I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy sequel. A new movie installment in the slasher franchise has been in the works since 2014, with Mike Flanagan initially developing a remake of the original adaptation of the '70s novel. The legacy sequel was confirmed in early 2023 with Jennifer Love Hewitt...

The I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel is taking a "less is more" approach to scare audiences, relying on subtext and trusting the audience to understand the story. The sequel aims to improve on the original by focusing more on overall tension rather than solely relying on the thrills of the killer's kills. The success of the sequel could potentially launch another franchise revival, following the trend of successful legacy sequels like Halloween and Scream.
With nearly a year gone since it was first announced, writer Leah McKendrick offers a promising update on the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel. Based on Lois Duncan's novel of the same name, the horror franchise launched with the 1997 slasher revolving around a group of young adults targeted by a killer fisherman after covering up an accidental death. After a 1998 direct follow-up, 2006 standalone threequel and short-lived TV remake at Prime Video,...

"What if I screw this up? I don't even know if I want kids!" Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for another new sex comedy called Scrambled, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Leah McKendrick. Thirty-something Nellie Robinson is your quintessential eternal bridesmaid. When a doctor visit reveals her fertility may be in jeopardy, she stares down the barrel of a future without options and decides to freeze her eggs. The arduous (and pricey) process sends her on a journey of self-examination, confronting past lovers, dreams and regrets, and ultimately bringing her face to face with the one she’s meant to be with forever: Herself. Starring Leah McKendrick as Nellie, Ego Nwodim, Andrew Santino, Adam Rodriguez, Laura Cerón, and Clancy Brown. This received mostly positive reviews at the fest, praising the structure: "the film has quick quips, good timing, and tight pacing." Looks like it is honest & fun with plenty of spunk.
