Everything about this show is wrong for a UK audience.
So obviously rehearsed theres no jeopardy , no mystery and no excitement.
Everyone gets the answers right, sings perfectly and holds a fake smile the whole way through.
I like a good quiz and the brief glimpse of it on Graham Norton seemed amusing.
Sadly that 30s was the only good bit of the whole program .
Hopefully the BBC didn't spend too much cash on this because it's an unwatchable, charmless disaster and no "celebrity" singer is going to want their name associated with it going forwards.
Do yourself a favour and go to your nearest pub with a karaoke machine and watch the drunk hen/stag do make a mess of your favourite song..it will be less painful than this.

Mo Gilligan should really stick to comedy, rather than than trying to impress Z-list American celebrities. The format does not work for the British viewers, when its filmed with US celebrities and a US audience. Mo's persona is awful, constantly baiting the crowd to cheer for no real point. Lets hope the BBC does not re-commission.
While the Jimmy Fallon version is cheesy, Jimmy's personable charm and the celebrities make it engaging to watch, but this did not re-create. The only upside was the house band which were incredible musicians, the rest did not make up for it. Treat yourself to an hour of silence with the TV off.

All the songs are terrible, the host is dull and like an animatronic, full of unfunny slapstick. Such a waste of taxpayer money. Literally anything would be better to fill in an hour on channel 1. Its so crap i generally think the audience is being payed to be there.

Not really sure what all the hate is about to be honest. It's Saturday night entertainment and it entertains. Lots of fun rounds, music and a bit of comedy, better than a lot of other things on telly at the moment. Me and the wife are enjoying it anyway, good family entertainment on a Saturday night.
Maybe some people are affected by the fact this is a British version of a US show. Being from the UK myself I would obviously much rather watch this than the US one, I haven't seen the original but I can imagine how much more cringey and false everyone would seem.
Personally I don't think it deserves the hate, I was actually quite surprised by the lack of good reviews.

Usually I love music quizzes but I just can't sit through this one.
Mo is a terrible host, just laughing at himself a lot, and the round where he raps is incredibly cringeworthy - how is it possible to RAP out of tune..?!
Most of the music in the programme and the celebrity guests aren't really suitable for a UK prime time family audience (it's mostly American guests and a fair bit of hip hop / rap music that a lot of people won't know). Apparently it's an American show that's been refilmed with Mo for the UK.
Obviously most game shows are set up / rehearsed, but the 'spur of the moment' singing battles etc in this show stretch credulity to such an extent it's unbearable to watch.
It's not worth your time sadly.
