Jack Mimoun et les secrets de Val Verde (2022)

Trivia

Jack Mimoun et les secrets de Val Verde

Edit
Shooting was supposed to happen in 2020, but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It finally happened in the spring and summer of 2021 in Thailand and Paris. However, this was pretty tough as the quarantine procedures in Thailand meant 15 days of isolation whenever someone was coming in the country, even though Malik Bentalha believes this ended up serving the movie as the cast and crew got to know each other very well before shooting.
First film as a director for comedian Malik Bentalha. With each shoot, he got more and more interested in the movie making process, staying after his scenes to watch the crew work, until he finally got the confidence to try his hand at making a movie himself, with the help of Ludovic Colbeau-Justin for directing, and Florent Bernard and Tristan Schulmann for writing the script.
EPILOGUE: "Olivier Levasseur, AKA 'Buzzard,' amassed one of the most fabulous treasure in the history of piracy. He was hanged on July 7, 1730. His coded message was never deciphered. His treasure has yet to be found."
As he wanted the main character to look like success had made him soft, Malik Bentalha took on 30 pounds for the role.
