hibernate in other years

Interesting themes, from the hibernate years to the managing of toxic relation. Fair atmosphere, the tones of pink , like the dialogue and the beautiful acting being admirable ingrediets for a very simple story about decisions defining radical change of life of young woman.

The jealousy of her boyfriend determins a young actress to change the period of hibernation to not meet him. Scenes of relation, overacting gestures, tendency to dominate her life are the scenes defining this decision. And , maybe, exactly this scenes are the most significant in case of this short horror, reminding ordinary couple life crisis and the wise decision for partners.

almost reaches its full potential

"Odd/Even" takes place in a seemingly pleasant future created by the division of humanity into two groups that alternate between living their lives and basically going into storage. This fascinating idea is a backdrop for an intimate story about a young couple, primarily told in increasingly disturbing flashbacks showing one partner become gradually more abusive toward the other. There's not much chemistry between the two leads, and as a result, the viewer is hard-pressed to believe that a friendly, talented individual who talks for a living would choose a mate whose primary method of communication is awkward mumbling. Nevertheless, the film is worth watching for the odd/even concept and the role it plays in the plot.
