Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña) had a rocky on-again, off-again relationship, but they got a happy ending in Through My Window 3: Looking at You. Ares and Raquel have been the main couple of the entire trilogy, experiencing steamy romance and crushing breakups throughout. Looking at You is the final installment of the Netflix original trilogy, so they had to make a final decision about their relationship, one way or another.
As the final chapter and one of the best movies in the Through My Window trilogy, Looking at You had a lot of story lines left to wrap up. After Through My Window: Across the Sea's ending and Yoshi's tragic death, everyone's life had taken a turn for the worse. Raquel and Ares were in new relationships, though neither compared to the love they once shared, and the rest of the cast of Through My Window: Looking at You...

The shocking ending of Through My Window: Across the Sea challenges traditional YA romance conventions with a tragic twist. Critics found the film lacking in story and character development, but it stands out in the world of romantic Netflix originals. Yoshi's final act of love in submitting Raquel's book drives the narrative forward, leading to significant consequences in the sequel.
The Netflix-exclusive sequel Through My Window: Across the Sea delivers plenty of steamy romance, but the Spanish film also features a tragic and shocking ending that leaves a beloved character dead. Released in 2023 and coming as a follow-up to 2022's Through My Window, the film follows Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña) as their burgeoning relationship is put to the test by both distance and former flames. The entire Through My Window trilogy, including the new installment Looking at You, has landed on Netflix's weekly Top 10 Non-English movies chart. The trilogy has accumulated 31.5 million hours viewed from 17.7 million viewers globally. While Looking at You seems like the end, Netflix may choose to continue or spin off the franchise if its success continues.
Through My Window 3: Looking at You has helped the entire trilogy land on the Netflix chart. The new movie is the third and final installment in the Spanish-language trilogy based on the romance novel series by Ariana Godoy, which originally became popular on Wattpad. After the original Through My Window, which starred Clara Galle and Julio Peña as star-crossed lovers Raquel and Ares, became a success in 2022, Netflix greenlit both sequels, releasing Through My Window 2: Across the Sea in 2023 and Looking at You in 2024.

Netflix's Spanish-language romance trilogy, Through My Window, has been uneven in terms of execution. Across the Sea has a shocking death, while Looking at You gets the couple back on track. Despite low ratings, the first film sets the foundation for Ares and Raquel's romance journey.
Netflix's movie series Through My Window has been a big success since it started in 2022, but the Spanish language film trilogy is uneven in its ranking of quality. Whether it's losing a character or a plotline that sets the story back, each film in the Through My Window trilogy has its reasons for its placement. Along with the first movie, Through My Window, there are also two sequels to add to the list. The second sequel is called Through My Window: Across the Sea, which came out in June 2023. Can the scorching romance that started with a shared Wi-Fi network maintain its connection? That’s the question at the heart of Through My Window 3: Looking at You (A través de tu Mirada),the third (and apparently final) sequel to Through My Window (A Través de mi Ventana) and Through My Window: Across the Sea (A Través del Mar), the hit Spanish language YA films directed by Marçal Forés, based on a book trilogy by co-creator Ariana Godoy.
The tragic events and tumultuous finale of Through My Window: Across the Sea put an end to Raquel and Ares’ already fraying relationship too. At the close of the summer, the star-crossed couple (played by Clara Galle and Julio Peña) break up seemingly for good. But when Ares and Raquel find themselves back in Barcelona for the winter, things heat up again. Desire’s a powerful force, but is theirs strong...

Through My Window: Across the Sea ended with Raquel and Ares breaking up over the death of Yoshi. There was a volatile blame game, which led to a bitter ending to a rather passionate relationship. Raquel already suspects that Ares had been having an affair with Vera. Meanwhile, Raquel began showing interest in Gregory, who was her classmate in college. On the VOD charts, action rules. A recent price drop to $5.99 has propelled “John Wick: Chapter 4” (Lionsgate) to continued #1 positions at iTunes and Google Play, while revenue-ranking Vudu kept “Fast X” (Universal) in the top position. “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” (Universal), price now reduced to $19.99 (including download) placed #2 at all three sites.
New entry “The Machine” (Sony), an action comedy starring Bert Kreischer, here adapting his semi-biographical stand-up routine, is #3 at Vudu at $19.99 while placing on a three charts. It hit home viewing after its fourth weekend in theaters, where it managed only $10 million in gross.
After a recent spate of theatrical releases dominating Netflix’s top ten movie chart, their home-grown titles took six of the slots this week. “Extraction 2” repeats at #1, with their usual eclectic mix taking other slots.

The first film, Through My Window, a Spanish Netflix original, was all about the glorification of a toxic relationship. The same team brings you the sequel, Across the Sea, which is a continuation of previous film. Unfortunately, the latest instalment, just like the previous one, does not serve the genre it is based on. Director Marçal Forés brings you the same cast with a lot of soapy drama thrown into the mix.
Through My Window: Across the Sea is as literal as the name suggests because the film is set on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, where the friends and family of Raquel and Ares descend to celebrate the San Juan festival. Amidst all of this, the once hot and heavy couple is now in a long-distance relationship. With Ares studying medicine in Stockholm and Raquel studying literature in Barcelona, there is trouble in paradise because they end up spending...

Through My Window: Across the Sea is a film directed by Marçal Forés starring Clara Galle and Julio Peña.
It is a story about teenagers and a sequel to “Through the Window,” which takes the elements that made the first movie a success, emphasizes them, and gives them (especially at the end) a touch of maturity.
However, let’s be honest, nothing will make us forget the scene of the girl licking the ice cream in the pool with a parallel montage of the boys practicing… erotic games.
Yes, you can imagine it perfectly.
Through My Window: Across the Sea About the Movie
From the beginning, the movie is clear: the first movie had it clear, that the important thing was to accentuate the “spicier” scenes to fill the rest of the script. This also happens in action movies, where if you remove the chase scenes and such, the rest...

Netflix gained a new competitor last month (sort of) when HBO Max and Discovery+ combined forces to create the confusingly-named Max. With its list of new releases for June 2023, however, Netflix doesn’t have too much to worry about.
This month is filled with some major Netflix original titles, not the least of which is The Witcher season 3 volume 1 on June 29. Though star Henry Cavill is set to leave the Polish folklore/video game adaptation in season 4, he remains very much entrenched as the titular Witcher in this next go-around. Other big TV hits include Manifest season 4 part 2 (June 2), Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources season 2 (June 9), and animated King Kong series Skull Island (June 22). That’s not even to mention the return of Black Mirror season 6. That still has yet to receive a release date but we have no doubt it will be properly epic once it arrives.

"A bit of San Juan fun won't hurt anybody." Netflix has revealed the full official trailer for another Spanish romantic dramedy called Through My Window: Across the Sea, originally known as A Través del Mar. It's actually a sequel to the Spanish sultry romance called Through My Window from last year, about a connection between Ares and Raquel - two extremely attractive Spanish people. In this follow-up, Ares is studying medicine in Stockholm and Raquel follows her dream of becoming a writer while they maintain a long-distance relationship that has not been easy for either of them. Now the summer is finally here and the long-awaited reunion. Will the distance be a problem for their relationship? The film stars Julio Peña, Clara Galle, Natalia Azahara, Guillermo Lasheras, Emilia Lazo, Eric Masip, Hugo Arbués, and Andrea Chaparro. It's definitely extra cheesy, but does look passionate if anyone is into this kind of stuff.
