In the design for a living area for their client who was a professional football player they installed a tiny, uncomfortable couch, that was completely disproportionate and to tiny for his physical size. Comfort in design is critical and completely absent from their design. I actually felt sorry for the client. His sofa looked like it was meant for a dolls house. They interpreted his desire for sexy without considering that sexy means luxurious inviting comfort and neglected to consider his physical size. Sofas and chairs should always be comfortable. Just as proportion for furniture is critical for the architectural space, it is the most important priority when considering the people who will be using the space. Too much black and white and strange colored marble designs also looked dated and out of place.

I find it refreshing to have a design show vs. Real estate. There are so many real estate shows. The design of the home is super important and my favorite part of Million Dollar Listing and Buying Beverly Hills. Viewers haven't had a reality interior design show since Million Dollar Decorators! A cult classic in my opinion. Basically, I was expecting something more vapid. Not sure why people think their personalities as "insufferable" given they actually seem down to earth. Interior Design is a stressful business. Lead times, difficult customers, juggling contractors and installers etc. Etc. I also like the main designer's strong business woman in charge vibe who also has a sense of humor.

I expected a shallow, reality show that I would Storm through just to see the designs and pretty houses. Completely schocked to see the girls from Sire Office being so goofy and kind to each other, unlike the backstabbing buch from Selling sunset. They just laugh and seem genuine! I'm halfway through the first season and not a single character comes off as being fake or poshy. Had some initial doubting thoughts about Ray, but he is warming up to me with each Episode. Of course some parts have to be scripted and huge parts of the actual work are not shown, but this is such a moral and mental refreshment after so many reality shows lately that seem to live off drama. Seeing these girls laugh their hearts off makes me feel happy, and reminds me of my girflriends back home. So nice!
Extremely abnoxious designers complaining nonstop. Its more of Miami Kardashians who design rather than a design show or interior design based. Almost on-existent design thought process included. Designs are unoriginal and uninspired.
Couldnt make it past the second episode because I was consistently annoyed by these people and for the lack of design content - which is why Im watching this. I did however skip to design materials until episode 6.... absolutely worthless.
This show would have been much better if they focused on the two main designers home (which is still being comstructed) minus all the friends, family, complaining and the non-drama drama. Would have been actual content if they took us on that journey of the plan process, design process, and implementation. Dont think I have seen a design show that did this so what a waste of a missed opportunity.
US design shows should take notes from British onea because this wasnt the first show that I had these sentiments towards.
