One time entertainer

The wedding night gets rough turn when both bride and groom gets muddled in a police operation . It's an interesting premise for twist and turns . The story takes inspirations from movies like hangover where they have to connect the dots on what actually happened . It has a beautiful use of mcguffin ( if I tell you what , it will be a spoiler ) . There are sparky moments but also some unwanted scenes , the Kartik aryan type rant seems forced and long from Yami Gautam. Some places yami Gautam misses the beat , pratik on the other hand looks smooth . Climax has been closed in a good way but this could have been amazing comedy if it was rounded properly.

An entertaining cocktail of comedy, action, music and romance

If you are looking for some entertainment where you can settle down with popcorn and enjoy for sometime then you won't be disappointed. Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi play a newly married couple who get the shock of their lives on their wedding night when two goons break into their home and desperately threaten to shoot them while asking for the whereabouts of "Charlie". The couple promptly escapes and then starts the roller coaster run chase at night through the town. Both Yami playing Koyal and Pratik playing Veer are opposites in every sense. He is a phobia filled Gujarati vet ( I am a vegetarian, I can't eat my patients!). She is a full blooded fiesty Pujabi girl who gulps whiskey and shoots with enthusiasm. Together they make a terrific quirky couple.

Director Rishab Seth fills the movie with an engrossing cocktail of comedy, action, slapstick, romance, music more than enough to keep you entertained. There are twists and turns with shady cops, a botched up robbery, kidnapping, a mysterious pen drive, unfaithful boyfriend etc etc all happening in a wild ride at a crazy pace at night. These misadventures are all presented in a humorous vein and it is light hearted fun all the way. The sitcom has lots of suspense filled action with surprises. Both actors have fully immersed themselves in their cranky roles. ( Watch Yami delivering the monologue and belting out expletives and Pratik doing the pole dance among other amusing scenes.)

An unpredictable lot of fun

I saw this pop up on Netflix and it looked like it might be fun.

I'm really glad I watched it - it IS a lot of fun. Best described as an action/romance, the married couple of an arranged marriage have their first night together go very wrong when people come to their hotel room door and demand - with menace - "something" that they have no idea what is.

They spend the next 24-hours escaping bad guys, breaking their stereotypes...of each other...getting to the bottom of the problem and more importantly getting to know each other, finally, and falling for each other.

I don't watch many Indian films (so, sorry if I'm ignorant of mega stars here) but it seemed way less predictable than the normal "Hollywood" films that have been heavily promoted on Netflix - the main characters weren't cardboard cutouts, and the lead actress managed to squeeze in an awesome feminist speech too while leading the action too. It was a sweet film that I smiled my way through.

It's not a work of art, but you'll not regret watching it and having fun in the process.

Whacky, fun and entertaining but don't try and poke holes in the story and you'll enjoy it

Comedy is often the most difficult genre, apart from horror, to tackle. Many directors have their own styles of delivering the best comedic offering.

Rishab Seth has done a great job with this light hearted offering which is high on comedic moments and he is ably supported by a great cast and apt writing.

The movie is not complex or deliver nuances or twists or thrills of any kind. But in a way, that is the key to the success of the movie as it is a no frills delivery which succeeds in all it sets out to do.

Yami is the star here with a spot on performance which highlights why she is probably one of the most under rated actresses. Her comedic timing, spot on dialogue delivery and overall presence drive the movie and it's story line.

Pratik Gandhi is probably the weak link not because he is not capable but somehow not in the same league as Yami when it comes to the demands of the role. He has no doubt delivered a par performance but maybe a better actor in the comedy arena, would have made it a more complete package.

The support cast has little to do in most scenes but the overall combo is wrapped up perfectly and makes for a viewing experience which is fun, fast paced and exciting. There are a lit of people who step in an out in different scenes and each does their part perfectly. Key mentions -- Prateik Babbar, Eijaz Khan.

The movie does not really have any dull moments and is a laugh riot. Definitely not to be missed.

Good

After a short gap, Bollywood delivers a film that brings back the charm of movies we used to enjoy. It's a light-hearted, fun-filled ride with a simple story, familiar characters, and just the right mix of humor and emotion. The movie doesn't try to be different-it sticks to a tried-and-true formula, and that's exactly what makes it enjoyable. The music is catchy, the visuals are colorful, and the performances feel natural. It offers a sense of nostalgia and comfort, making it a perfect watch for those who miss the Bollywood feel. A pleasant break from heavy dramas and action thrillers.. Perfect for a relaxed watch!

A Laid-Back Comedy with Just the Right Spark!

If you're looking for a light, breezy comedy that doesn't demand much from you, Dhoom Dhaam is exactly that. The film brings together two completely opposite personalities, a free-spirited, party-loving girl and a shy, veteran doctor, who end up married. What follows is a series of fun, sometimes awkward, and mostly feel-good moments.

Prateek Gandhi shines in his role, bringing charm and subtle humor, while Yami Gautam fits right in, making their chemistry enjoyable. The comedy works in parts-there are some genuinely funny scenes-but don't expect a laugh riot. The story itself is predictable but flows well, making it an easy watch.

At its core, Dhoom Dhaam is a simple, no-pressure entertainer. It's not groundbreaking, and it doesn't try to be. Just go with the flow, enjoy the lighthearted moments, and you'll have a good time.

Final Verdict: A fun time-pass movie-good for a relaxed watch!

A Breath of Fresh Air in Comedy: A Review of Dhoom Dhaam

In a cinematic landscape often dominated by tired tropes and predictable punchlines, Dhoom Dhaam emerges as a delightful surprise, a refreshing dose of genuine humor that leaves you in stitches while also offering moments of heartwarming connection. This isn't your run-of-the-mill comedy; it's a film that dares to be quirky, to embrace the absurd, and to deliver jokes that you haven't heard a million times before.

At the heart of this comedic gem lies the undeniable chemistry between Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam. Gandhi, known for his impeccable comic timing, shines in a role that seems tailor-made for him. He embodies his character with a perfect blend of naivety and wit, drawing laughs with every line and every exaggerated expression. Gautam, as always, is a force to be reckoned with. Her comedic prowess is on full display, and she effortlessly complements Gandhi's energy, creating a dynamic duo that crackles with on-screen magic.

But what truly sets the film apart is its commitment to originality. The jokes are fresh, the situations are unexpected, and the humor is often delightfully offbeat. It's a film that doesn't rely on cheap gags or overused comedic devices. Instead, it finds humor in the everyday, in the awkwardness of human interactions, and in the absurdity of life itself.

The film's strength also lies in its ability to balance the comedic with the heartfelt. Amidst the laughter, there are moments of genuine emotion, moments that resonate with the audience and add depth to the story. It's a reminder that even in the most hilarious situations, there's always a human element, a connection that transcends the laughter.

The movie is an example to the power of original storytelling and the importance of taking risks in comedy. It's a film that proves that you don't have to rely on tired formulas to make people laugh. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective, a willingness to be different, and a cast that understands the nuances of comedic timing.

In a world where comedy often feels stale and predictable, is a breath of fresh air. It's a reminder that laughter can be intelligent, that humor can be original, and that cinema can still surprise and delight us. This is the kind of film that deserves to be celebrated, the kind of film that leaves you wanting more.

If you're looking for a comedy that will tickle your funny bone and leave you with a smile on your face, look no further than the film. It's a cinematic experience that's too good to miss, a refreshing reminder of the power of laughter, and a testament to the brilliance of its cast and creators.

Good watch for on flight entertainment

The length of the movie is just right . Lighthearted film , though screenplay , characterization, authenticity of story telling could have been better . What stood out for me was Yami's performance and the chemistry between the two leads . This was probably one of her finest works, seemed very believable and natural and both characters seem to be having fun with their roles , hence the chemistry probably . However the rest of the cast was unfortunately trying a lot harder hence the overall narrative probably was not as impactful .

Definitely a one time watch , as mentioned earlier the length is perfect so you don't start to feel dragged .

Only if a guy had done all this to a girl on wedding night you will take out candle light March.

U will throw hot water and immediately the goons will be fine as if ice cubes where rubbed.

A girl drags her husband to ex bf house for so called Charlie and he will hit on her!!! And just before that she gave a speech how she is tired of being objectified! Where her own ex used her a an object... you will spit on Ex bf!!! What if a boy spits on a girl???

Suddenly on empty streets a barat will hit on New Year's Eve when streets are empty in mumbai. Hv u seen new year eve in mumbai. It's jammed. 31st dec ko shaadi?

And when lift stops suddenly the body will have an upward thrust.

Woman objectifying men is fine!!! But in the same film the bride gives a lecture how woman gets objectified.

What a truly horrible movie. Full marks the way you bribed people to get this approved.

A Refreshing Blend of Comedy, Action & Thrill

Dhoom Dhaam (2025) is an action-comedy that follows Veer Khurana (Pratik Gandhi) and Koyal Chadda (Yami Gautam), a mismatched couple who enter into an arranged marriage. On their wedding night, a case of mistaken identity forces them to go on the run, leading to a series of thrilling and humorous escapades as they search for the mysterious "Charlie."

The film offers a fresh take on the action-comedy genre, steering away from typical Bollywood formulas. The screenplay is tight, ensuring there's never a dull moment. Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi deliver commendable performances, adding authenticity and charm to their roles. The humor is well-placed, making the film an entertaining watch without feeling forced.

The cinematography and visuals are top-notch, capturing the essence of the story beautifully. The background score and songs complement the film well, though the music isn't its strongest suit. However, the overall execution makes up for it. If you're looking for a Bollywood movie that feels new and exciting rather than repetitive, Dhoom Dhaam is a must-watch. It's a perfect blend of comedy, action, and emotion, making it a complete entertainer.

Mind refresh movie

Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam, two actors known for their captivating screen presence, deliver thoroughly entertaining performances in this refreshing and comedic film. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, and their comedic timing is impeccable, making for a truly enjoyable cinematic experience. The film itself offers a welcome respite from the everyday, providing a much-needed escape and a chance to unwind and have a good laugh. It's the perfect antidote to a stressful day or week. If you're looking for a feel-good movie that will leave you smiling and help you clear your mind, this one is definitely worth checking out. Fans of both Gandhi and Gautam will find plenty to appreciate, as they both seem to be having a blast in their roles. The plot, while light and breezy, offers enough twists and turns to keep you engaged, and the supporting cast adds to the overall charm of the film. It's not just a comedy; it's a feel-good movie with heart, and a perfect choice for a relaxing evening.

A deporable Celebration of Infidelity

Once again, Hollywood indulges in a dangerous trend by glorifying adulterous behavior and normalizing wayward characters. This film is nothing more than the latest installment in a long line of movies that trivialize betrayal and the real-life consequences of broken trust. Instead of offering a thoughtful exploration of complex relationships, it panders to a shallow, hedonistic impulse that undermines the values of commitment and integrity.

The narrative not only misleads impressionable viewers-especially teenagers and those lacking maturity-but also contributes to a broader cultural erosion where deceit is celebrated as a form of rebellion. Rather than inspiring audiences with nuanced, responsible storytelling, this film reduces serious moral dilemmas to mere entertainment fodder, packaged for maximum commercial appeal at the expense of substance and decency.

It is disheartening to see cinema, which has the power to shape societal norms, being used to promote such damaging ideals. This movie is a disgrace to both the art of filmmaking and to society at large.

Good

Good story, good message outside the club scene but another hidden propaganda of pulling the society to another extreme. If you are so bold be honest to the guy and then marry. Now reverse the roles and scream injustice!!

Being a traditional person myself, I don't drink am vegetarian but love skydiving and adventure sports. I hate extreme representation of women.

Just because she is a woman all forgiven. I get empowerment and all, its needed, but i have seen lot of trash in the name of empowerment. But i guess thats how the society must be now i think this movie is best for if you feel low and good.

Good comedy

This is a good comedy based on a couple's honeymoon night. This comedy of errors is quite hilarious to watch because of the storyline, though it becomes a little bit predictable at some points. The actors did a pretty good job there. Both Yami Gautam Dhar and Prateek Gandhi have good on-screen chemistry, and they really look like newlyweds. These actors are the main pillars of this story as they make the 1 hour 48 mins running time of this movie enjoyable. Most of their jokes land, and you don't feel awkward.

The story is basically a comedy of errors with some serious messaging about love in a marriage. Good one-time watch or a leisure watch for your next flight!

One time watch but should watch

Good movies are surely a blessing, especially when they're Indian and available on Netflix.

This one is a great watch, packed with action, humor and excellent presentation.

It was my first time seeing Pratik Gandhi on screen; while I wasn't overly impressed, he played his role well. However, the real standout in this film was Yami Gautam, who delivered a superb performance. She portrayed her character beautifully.

So, grab some popcorn and enjoy it over the weekend. While it may not be groundbreaking, it steers clear of over-the-top action, senseless fights, vulgarity, or the typical masala elements found in many Indian films today. It's a well executed movie and definitely worth a watch.

A Fun One-Time Watch with Good Performances & Simple Humor

Dhoom Dham is a lighthearted comedy that delivers a fun and engaging experience for a casual movie night. The film keeps things simple yet effective, with humor that doesn't feel forced and a well-paced narrative.

What Works: Strong Performances: Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi are well-suited for their roles, bringing charm and depth to their characters. The supporting cast also does a great job.

Simple Yet Enjoyable Humor: The comedy is subtle and natural, making it an easy watch.

Story Build-Up & Twists: The flashback sequences and narrative flow keep the movie engaging without unnecessary distractions.

What Could Have Been Better: Predictable Climax: The outcome involving the dog is obvious early on.

Lack of Romance: A stronger emotional or physical bond between the leads could have made the movie feel more complete.

Overt Feminism: While the theme is clear, it sometimes feels overemphasized.

Despite minor flaws, Dhoom Dham is an enjoyable film with good performances and an entertaining storyline. If you're looking for a fun, easygoing comedy, this one is worth a watch!

Delightful

Meh. The movie was okayish, but could have been shorter. Pratik Gandhi was great. A really impressive actor. I had seen him Madgaon Express before, but that was a lackluster affair. I really need to watch Scam 1992. Yami Gautam evidently tried her best, but maybe her range is a bit lmited to pull off this role. They should have cast a bubbly actor. Kareena or yesteryear's rani too would have killed it in this role. Even Diana Penty, who has limited outings was better ala Happy in Happy Bhaag Jayegi. Delighted to see Prateik Babbar after a while in the small role of sleazy artistic ex boyfriend.

Disappointing mess - couldn't tolerate beyond 30 mins

"This movie doesn't even deserve a single star. The writing is filled with absurd choices-calling a pen drive 'Charlie' for no reason, leaving a gun on a hotel room floor while running away from goons, and making characters act unbelievably foolish just to create artificial tension. My last watched scene was outside the club, where the protagonist rants about feminism which was forced and out of place. While I appreciate the effort that goes into making a film, a bad movie is simply a bad movie. Weak storytelling, poor character decisions, and exaggerated performances make this one a frustrating watch."

Laughter Dose

Complete laughter, funny and predictable story. I like it and highly recommend it.

Starting Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam Dhar covers almost completed screen play in the movie. I loved the chemistry they created throughout the movie. They never get bore.

Movie goes with situational comedy and it works most the time. Another catch of this movie was that dog and cat and mouse chase in between couple, CID and gangster. Complete Pasia vasool. For comedy department, I give honor to Pratik Gandhi. That man can make laugh with just small expression.

Lastly at climax, movie try give you twist in story but you if you are aware, you get to know before it comes out in front of you. At last I don't know what catch you most from the movie, for me it was definitely Pratik Gandhi saying "Riste main hum tumhare baap lagte hai". Another best acting honor I give beside Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam Dhar, that dog, Tushie. Just 2 minutes screen time and bang he nailed it.

Total bore

Was v excited and was waiting early To watch this movie. Sat with entire family to watch it. It is not even a timepass movie. Screenplay sucks, storyline was good, but it has been wasted. I have always liked what Yami Gautam makes along with her husband, Aditya Dhar, but this one is a total flop. A very wrong portrait of feminism and modern women, someone who abuses and drinks is a modern woman. It comes across like this. But in that whole plot the director and the writer missed that the decision-making and maturity is what defines feminism or being modern, which was shown as the characteristics of the hero, whose otherwise shown as too simple and dumb. Don't waste your time on this one!!!

A Breezy Rom-Com That's Easy to Watch but Hard to Remember

Dhoom Dhaam is one of those films that you don't have much to rave about, but also don't feel the need to criticize. Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam Dhar deliver breezy performances, making this predictable but harmless rom-com enjoyable enough.

The story follows a newly married couple thrown together by circumstances, only to discover each other while being chased by goons. While the setup is mildly different, it quickly settles into a familiar rhythm - challenges, silly moments, light humor, and a happy ending. The film doesn't take itself too seriously, which works in its favor.

However, the lack of songs is a big miss, especially for a rom-com - good music could have elevated the film. That said, the crisp 100-minute runtime ensures it never drags.

It's a decent one-time watch - best enjoyed with your spouse and a glass of wine when you just want something light without investing too much brainpower.

Newlywed Strangers

After consulting a holy man for his advice, a young man named "Veer Poddar" (Pratik Gandhi) and a beautiful woman called "Koyal Chadda" (Yami Gautam) are betrothed to each other by their respective families. To make matters even more interesting, not only do the two not know anything about the other, but the holy man also tells everyone that they must be wed within the next two weeks if the marriage will last. Further complicating the issue is the fact that the two of them have several social commitments they must fulfill, which negates any opportunity to get to know each other as well. To that effect, before they know it, the wedding day arrives, and afterward, the two of them find themselves in a hotel room to become better acquainted. However, it's then that two gunmen appear and demand that Veer disclose the location of a man named Charlie. Now, rather than reveal more, I will just say that this was a cute romantic comedy with a bit of action and a small measure of mystery. Admittedly, the comedy wasn't as sharp as it could have been, and the chemistry between Veer and Koyal could have also used some improvement. Regardless, I still enjoyed this movie for the most part, and I have rated it accordingly. Slightly above average.
