Slow and boring

The actresses, Letícia Colin and Barbara Paz, are the only good things about this movie. The rest is a total waste of time and money!

The movie revolves around the two couples, betrayals and the danger of boredom in long-term (?) relationships.

It does not evolve from there. It does not go anywhere. Sex scenes, wild parties and shallow dialogues.

Nothing is left to think about when the movie ends. No wonder Brazilian movies don't get watched inside the country and/or around the world.

The script is loose and the ending is an evidence that the director didn't have a clue. I try and try but Brazilian movies keep disappointing me.

... some understanding for us HOH (hard-of-hearing) folks.. please

... A Porta ao Lado (The Next Door).. here's a good film that only can be fully appreciated watching it, when understanding the language it's been created in... makers of entertainment productions today should realize-understand they are creating works to eventually be released out into a world wide market... hi-quality subtitling must be considered a strategic-part of every quality film-TV-production-et al

... The Next Door is a well done film.. it's obvious even if-when you do not understand completely (or at all) what's being said... it deserves the widest audience possible right from the outset... large providers like Netflix and others get this, and their captioning is most always the best it can be

... Letícia Colin's a solid-good-looking-actor, and would-should have a much larger international following than the likes to date of the 58 viewer ratings of this movie on this site would suggest... and with increasing 'hard-of-hearing' audiences, it'll becoming more of a necessity, w/o-doubt.
