Independent film at its best fueled by a great cast

Just rented Nico and so glad I found this movie. If you love a good mystery, Nico is definitely one to watch! I'm a big crime thriller fan, and this one did not disappoint. The way the tension builds naturally throughout the entire film pulls you deeper into Nicos story without it feeling forced or just for thrills. The cast was fantastic. Everyone did an incredible job, and the chemistry between them made the story feel even more intense. It's one of those independent films that shows just how much talent is out there. It has its quirks but the storytelling is great, it has a strong cast, and lots of suspense, Nico is a hidden gem that's worth checking out! It's a refreshing take on the genre.

Great crime thriller

Nico had me hooked from the very start! The story is super intense and really pulls you into the mystery. It had great twists and turns all the way through. I love a good crime thriller, and this one really delivered. It's got that perfect balance of tension and action and the suspense keeps building right up until the end. It's dark, gritty, and full of all the right elements for a good crime mystery. But it also has those quieter moments that hit hard and really make you feel the emotion of the story. If you're into movies that keep you on the edge of your seat, you've got to check this one out, definitely worth the watch!

Thrilling

An exciting crime thriller that keeps you engaged all the way through, with important topics and themes being tackled throughout the film. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, with twists and turns and impactful scenes. The cinematography is intentional, and great. The performances from just about every actor was captivating. Definitely a must watch, it will elicit a reaction from being relevant in current times with a lot of things that are going on now and what we have been seeing from people we should be expecting to protect us but can no longer make that assumption but rather proceed with caution every time.

So engaging!

Enjoyable story & direction. Not your predictable cop film, it kept me engaged from start to finish as I tried to figure out where we were being taken next. Gorgeous shots of the city and good humor threaded through out. It never felt too serious or heavy but it managed to work with a complicated and nuanced subject effectively. A big fan of this strong black and brown cast, our two leading cops were enjoyable to watch in action. I can definitely appreciate their dynamic and character development. Would absolutely recommend this to my true crime, action, and/or mystery loving friends. There's a lot to appreciate!
