During Monday’s episode of the CW drama, long-distance lovebirds Coop and Patience decided to permanently call it quits, punctuating an on-again-off-again relationship that dates back to the show’s first season.

The CW’s spring 2025 lineup looks sparse, with only three series joining Wild Cards on the primetime schedule. The network set an April 16th launch date for the new drama Sherlock & Daughter starring David Thewlis as the iconic fictional detective. Season three of Sullivan’s Crossing will fill multiple time slots beginning on May 7th.

Rounding out the scripted series is Children Ruin Everything, returning for its fourth and final season on Wednesday, June 18th. The CW’s spring roster also includes Remarkable Women, a one-hour special celebrating “the often-overlooked stories of these incredible women’s innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit while championing the causes that inspire them and the direct impact they have on their local communities.”

CW Spring Premieres: Sherlock, Sullivan’s Crossing, and More!

The CW has set midseason premiere dates for a new mystery series, the final episodes of a veteran comedy show, Season 3 of a Canadian import and a special about some extraordinary American women.

The series premiere of Sherlock & Daughter, starring David Thewlis as Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective and Blu Hunt as his offspring, is set for Wednesday, April 16.

Season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing, starring Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray and Scott Patterson, launches Wednesday, May 7, and the final episodes of the climactic fourth season of sitcom Children Ruin Everything — led by Meaghan Rath and Aaron Abrams — will start with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, June 18. Its final Season 4 began on November 29.

The best Chad Michael Murray movies and TV shows include a mix of young adult releases, and in recent years, more adult drama fare. Murray got his start as an actor after he graduated from high school and won a modeling scholarship, which helped him pick up an agent. He moved to California and quickly earned a role in the MTV drama series Undressed. This helped lead to his breakout role on The Gilmore Girls as Tristin DuGray.

After another recurring role in Dawson’s Creek, Murray’s popularity exploded when he grabbed one of the leading roles in One Tree Hill. This also led to several film roles, mostly in young adult movies like Freaky Friday and A Cinderella Story. He hasn’t slowed down since aging out of many of those young adult releases, earning some great roles in movies like Fruitvale Station and TV shows like Marvel’s Agent Carter and Sullivan’s Crossing.

One Tree Hill was one of the defining teen dramas of the early 2000s. Although it lasted nine seasons, it ended while it still had millions of viewers.

That explains why there’s been a lot of enthusiasm about a comeback season of the WB-turned-cw drama.

Chad Michael Murray may not be returning to One Tree Hill.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, published Wednesday, the Merry Gentlemen star was asked about reports of the upcoming reboot of the hit teen show he starred on for seven seasons.

When Murray heard the news, he said he spoke with his former co-star James Lafferty, who played his onscreen half-brother, Nathan Scott, on the show.

“We’re not doing it because no one’s ever picked up the phone and said, ‘Hey, we’re doing this,’ so we’re not doing it,” he said.

However, he was happy about the prospect of the series returning: “I want it for the fans.”

In another interview with E! News, Murray also said of the show, “This experience that I’ve gotten like the privilege of being able to experience over the course of the last 24 years is incredible.

While SVP communications Beth Feldman and VP Rob Moynihan are said to be staying, the entire team under them has been laid off, I hear. The scripted department is said to be completely gutted, including department head, SVP Liz Wise Lyall. Also impacted are unscripted, including No.2, VP Betsy Slenzak, and marketing.
