Whitney Wolfe Herd is credited with vital branding and marketing decisions behind Tinder, but resigned in 2014, and shortly thereafter filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the company. Chris Hemsworth's submarine thriller, Subversion, casts its female lead in the form of an Emmy-nominated star. Earlier this year, it was announced that Hemsworth would be starring in a submarine action thriller for Amazon MGM Studios, directed by Patrick Vollrath, whose debut feature was the plane hijack thriller 7500, with a script written by Andrew Ferguson, known only for the short film Love Thy Neighbor.

The film follows a once-promising Naval commander (played by Chris Hemsworth) who is coerced by a cartel-style operation into captaining a submarine smuggling illegal cargo through international waters. Forced into a deadly game of cat and mouse, he must outmaneuver naval blockades and navigate several threats lurking both inside the vessel and beyond its hull.

Now, several months after it was first announced, Hemsworth's submarine thriller has found its female lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Subversion has cast Lily James in a lead role.

Opus did not make much noise when it first hit theaters. The A24 psychological drama, released in March, followed a writer played by Ayo Edebiri as she visited a mysterious pop icon, portrayed by John Malkovich.

The film came with a modest $10 million price tag but only managed to earn around $2.1 million at the global box office. It was not exactly a strong start, not by any standards and things got tougher for A24 when they followed it up with Death of a Unicorn, which also landed without much impact.

Netflix’s new drama The Waterfront arrived this week looking like it had just walked off the set of Ozark, borrowed Yellowstone’s boots, and tried to convince us it had invented both. But while Taylor Sheridan’s Montana-set megahit earned its 83% Rotten Tomatoes score the old-fashioned way — by building a richly textured world over five bloody seasons — The Waterfront debuted with a much murkier 67%, and critics are already calling it out for what it is: Netflix by numbers.

Holt McCallany, who starred in the Netflix series for two seasons alongside Jonathan Groff, recently told CBR about the long-awaited possibility of a revival and how he’s spoken to the show’s executive producer/director David Fincher about the series returning as possibly three films.

“I had a meeting with David Fincher in his office a few months ago, and he said to me that there is a chance that it may come back as three two-hour movies, but I think it’s just a chance,” said the Waterfront star. “I know there are writers that are working, but you know, David has to be happy with scripts.”

This exciting news comes courtesy of star Holt McCallany, who has spilled the beans on a possible return. The actor reveals that he had a meeting with Fincher, and there's a chance that Mindhunter will return to Netflix, but it won't be in the form of a full third season.

In Mindhunter, McCallany plays Bill Tench, the partnet of Jonathan Groff's Holden Ford, with both working in the Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI.

Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham's fourth movie together is heading to Hulu. Wrath of Man is set to join the Disney-owned streaming service in July.

Beginning July 1, Wrath of Man will be available to stream on Hulu. Directed by Ritchie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies, the 2021 action thriller — a loose remake of the 2004 French film Cash Truck — follows H (Statham), a new cash truck driver in Los Angeles whose thwarting of a robbery leads to his skillset with guns and mysterious past being questioned. Recently speaking with ScreenRant, The Iron Claw star revealed that conversations have been had surrounding the potential return of the beloved Netflix series, Mindhunter. In the six years since the second season arrived, the show has been in an indefinite hibernation, although, as the years passed, it has seemed more and more likely that a third season will never see the light of day.
