As attractive as Henry Cavill may be to the masses over in DC, the actor has made some seriously questionable choices over the years. Although his record of filmography may be stellar and full of merit, the Justice League star has more than a few skeletons in the closet to contend with.

When it comes to film and television, there are not many who can rise to Cavill’s status, of course. He has embodied some of the most famous and larger-than-life figures of history, ranging from Sherlock Holmes to Superman. However, when it comes to his personal life, the actor remains veritably shrouded in controversy.

In a turn that seems to have been lifted right out of the Jennifer Garner series Alias, the World Security Bureau (Wsb) recruited college student Josslyn Jacks as their newest agent on General Hospital. But spies aren’t born. They’re created. As such, the show will soon introduce Joss’ handler, Vaughn, played by Bryce Durfee. Durfee recently revealed that he almost ended up playing another character who is now a fan favorite.
A Spy is Born
Watching Joss become molded into a super spy like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is going to be super fun. Several spy characters have been on the show, such as Anna, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), and Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner), over the years. But Frisco left Port Charles and went off to join the Wsb and become a secret agent, getting his training off-screen.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU) was established with the film Iron Man and quickly expanded to The Avengers, all of which left a lasting legacy on the superhero movie genre. After the success of The Avengers movie, the creators of the MCU looked to expand the world even further, so several shows were pitched and executed on different networks. One of those shows, Daredevil, kicked off the portrayal of street-level vigilantes, providing a more grounded look at some of the classic heroes not yet explored in the MCU. Daredevil originally aired on Netflix in 2015 and showcased Matt Murdock on his rise to becoming the infamous vigilante Daredevil.
Daredevil kicked things off for further MCU expansion and was soon accompanied by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Daredevil was so popular that it spawned a spin-off from their second season, which introduced the Punisher in his own show. The...

We're still not over the end of "Star Trek: Lower Decks," and to be quite honest, we might never be. Every "Star Trek" fan loves "Lower Decks." Well, at least all of us here at /Film do -- I can't speak for any of the contrarian weirdos out there who hate fun or are somehow allergic to animation. Fans have become extremely attached to the cast, and their voices now rattle around in the dark recesses of our brains. Whenever I do a rewatch of "Craig of the Creek" (another show coming to an end too soon), I feel my heart break a little whenever Noël Wells' voice as Kelsey creeps into sounding like her "Lower Decks" character, Ensign D'Vana Tendi. I'm just not ready to admit that it's really over.

Back in my college days, I was a theatre performance major and became the first woman to serve as captain in the history of my underfunded state school's improv team (no one who reads /Film regularly is shocked), which meant I spent an excessive amount of time on YouTube consuming sketch clips and illegally uploaded episodes of "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" This fixation led me to the CollegeHumor channel and I became obsessed with a show called "Hello My Name Is." Each episode had Josh Ruben being transformed into a new character with prosthetics, wigs, and costumes, after which he would have to sit down for an improvised, in-character interview upon seeing the result. Nearly 15 years later, my college friends and I still quote a few of the episodes.

A lot of Rocky Walls’ minuscule indie drama “Dirty Laundry” hinges on the fact that it is leading towards something. Therefore, it is very important for its interiors and exteriors to match up to what the characters are going through. With the film set entirely at a local laundromat and only two major players in the game, it is a hard balance to maintain. Walls, who sets his film in the late nineties is aware of this hard play that he has to overpower. However, with a limited budget and very few surprises up his sleeves, other than the occasional nostalgia bait, he only manages to do so much. That said, this is such a small and intimate film that you are bound to understand and reflect upon the genuineness that went into making it.

Most of the single-location movies I have come across have aimed to thrill. Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope, Dial M for Murder, and Rear Window are some of the most beautifully crafted murder mysteries in existence. Sidney Lumet’s 12 Angry Men, Murder on the Orient Express, and Dog Day Afternoon are dripping with tension and drama. The Shining, The Thing, Misery, Krampus, and The Hateful Eight have expertly used a wintery landscape to generate suspense and horror. Snakes on a Plane, Train to Busan, and Greyhound have turned entire vehicles themselves into battlegrounds for survival. And the list just goes on. So, yes, it’s a little hard to find a single-location film that doesn’t get your heart pumping and your mind racing because being stuck in one place is terrifying. That said, Rocky Walls’ Dirty Laundry is a real change of pace. Is it any good? Let’s find out.

As part of its rollout of new series and specials, Dropout began releasing “Dimension 20: Time Quangle,” a set of four international live shows recorded with the conceit that the cast would not know which character they’d be playing until they drew randomly via bingo balls — nor would dungeon master Brennan Lee Mulligan know what setting to put them in until he drew his.
The embrace of total on-stage improv was done in part, as Mulligan explained at the top of their Glasgow show, because of what the team of artisans, technicians, and editors do on regular episodes of “Dimension 20” to pull out the storytelling stops and create the series as it’s consumed online. Even when stranded in the vulture dimension (and/or the United Kingdom), art teams, editors, and animators deserve their due.

Dirty Laundry, by Rocky Walls, tells the story of two friends, Eric and Kyle. Their relationship has reached a point where they have to decide whether they want to go ahead with their decision to start a business together or go their separate ways. Kyle has already put in his papers, thereby proving that he is committed to the dream that he had dreamt with Eric back in the day. But Eric is of two minds because his father wants him to study instead of risking his future on an unstable profession. Hence, they sit down at their usual meeting place, the laundromat, to have an in-depth discussion about the matter. However, something magical happens, which helps Eric and Kyle to really open up to each other and shift their dynamic in unexpected directions. I really liked the film, and when I got the opportunity to virtually chat with the director,...

Following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Wesley Snipes is rightfully getting some late recognition for his work in the Y2K era Blade films, but there’s another early-2000s Marvel pioneer who deserves some praise as well. Thomas Jane, who portrayed the title character in 2004’s The Punisher, was part of the same generation of early Marvel films that showed there was a massive market for superhero properties. Along with Jane’s Punisher – X-Men (2000), Elektra (2005), and yes even Ben Affleck’s Daredevil (2003) walked so the juggernaut known as the MCU could run only a few years later.

Frank Castle has always been a vicious vigilante, but he is at his most brutal in the 2008 film Punisher: War Zone. While the film went largely unwatched at the time of its release, it's now streaming for free 16 years later, providing Marvel fans who've never seen it an opportunity to check it out at no cost.
Currently, Punisher: War Zone is streaming on Pluto TV. A box office bomb, the film was not a big money-earner upon release. It grossed $10 million worldwide with a budget of around $35 million. Critics in 2008 were also not very kind with their reviews, and Punisher: War Zone has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 29%. Despite the disappointing reception, however, the film has since earned cult status with some fans considering it to be Marvel's most underrated movie ever.

The following contains spoilers for Station 19 Season 6, Episode 17, "All These Things I've Done," which debuted May 11 on ABC. The following also contains mentions of suicide.
Sean Beckett has been a contentious figure on Station 19 since joining the cast in Season 5. In Season 6, Episode 12, Beckett was removed as captain and sent to a rehabilitation program when he was caught drinking on the job. Beckett was generally disliked by fans for the disrespectful way he treated the first responders under his command, so many fans were relieved to see him sent away. Beckett was absent for several episodes but returned in Season 6, Episode 16, "Dirty Laundry," when he announced he wouldn't be seeking his captaincy back.
With Beckett's return, Station 19 completely subverted audience expectations. The Beckett who viewers had come to know was self-involved and did not care about comradery between any of the other members of the firehouse. Most notably, he was...

“Station 19” star Danielle Savre went through vigorous training before landing her first directing job on the ABC drama series. Still, she admits to having sleepless nights while working to make the episode as perfect as it read on the page.
“It was daunting at first when I read the script, because the scope of the script is huge,” Savre told TheWrap. “It’s a huge incident. Everyone has big emotions, and huge story points are being told that are going to play out in the next two episodes after mine. So if I didn’t get this right, I basically was not helping set up the [finale]… But I do very well under pressure.”
