Millennial cringe

Another mediocre Reel One Entertainment TV movie. This one is actually technically ok which is rare for ROE, but it's ruined by almost everything else.

Suprisingly, there is barely any obnoxiously loud background music and I didn't notice any bad cuts, another notorious ROE trade mark.

Sadly, Chelsey Reist as the main lead is a big miss. Jennifer Proce would be much better and with a limited screen time she was much better and actually had chemistry with M. Trottier. Movie also felt lifeless. There is also another almost obligatory thing in every ROE TV movie - wardrobe change, and it's tiresome watching it again and again. But what really ruined movie is screenplay or should I say millennial cringe and moronic writing. I was already bored just after 10 min, but I managed somehow to watch to the end to see if maybe it can be a bit better.

Sadly, no, but like in the best and worst ROE tradition, you can watch the whole movie compressed in 2:26 min long trailer. You'll miss nothing.

RUBBISH

10 minutes in and I've had enough. The excruciatingly poor acting by actors who haven't yet mastered their craft, added with casting where there is no chemistry between the leads.

I can only imagine they must do brilliant auditions because how would they get work otherwise. The storyline is about a businesswoman - (more suited to a nursery school) which is a big stretch to the imagination. I am now only going to watch Reel One / Hallmark films that have more mature actors with decent scriptwriting - like Her Pen Pal which I've watched recently and is an excellent example of a good film when the right casting, storyline and scripting all come together.
