Crime Traveler: The Adventures of Dave Slade

If you are into weird time travel stories, this could be the hidden gem you've missed! The story revolves around Dave Slade, an unlikely hero, who is haunted by mostly female time travelers and crimes are involved as well in an amusement park. The film is nicely split into 3 chapters that are well connect to each other. The film's cast and crew keep you on the tip of your seat to see what's going to happen next. The music is good and has a nice theme song, like the Greatest American Hero. The film pacing is nice and keeps the flow so that there are no boring moments. The film stretches the budget nicely for low budget indie cinema.

Crime Traveler: The Adventures of Dave Slade is split into three parts that are well connected. The premise of the film is a writer is greeted by unwelcome and unwarm villains and demons in famed Coney Island. This writer David Slade is also greeted by a former FBI agent who introduces Dave Slade to time travel, and he goes back and forward in time. Dave Slade has to save Hollywood, his newfound friend and most importantly himself for danger. The acting and directing keeps a weird story entertaining. The cinematography shows the Cyclone Roller-coaster and Nathan's landmarks in the background. The soundtrack is good also.

He's a good ole' boy who drinks lemonade and eats apple pie while he plies his trade as a CIA spy. Starting in 2020 he goes back and forth in history in fighting evil from his base in Coney Island, NY. Old Man, aka Oldman is the point man who turns this also ran into a semi-super hero not many degrees north of zero! It's his attitude that gives him much platitude while he snuffs out femme fatales and a few nasty boys to boot! There's love in his interests but it just doesn't quite make things right along his flights from the 1980s to the early 2030s! Alls well that ends well or does it? If you like the classic American TV series "THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO" you may like this Indie Low Budget film. The film is about a man who becomes an unlikely hero named Dave Slade. This is like Ralph Hinkley in "THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO". Dave Slade does not have superpowers like Hinkley but is able to time travel using a device you would not be able to suspect. Hinkley has Bill Maxwell to guide him through his adventures and Slade has Mr. Oldman aka "old man" to guide him through his adventures of time travel and save the world. Crime Traveler: The Adventures of Dave Slade is not a spoof or comedy, nor is it like Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. The film is a fantasy adventure of a man that encounters strange invaders that invade this loner and his Coney Island safe space in a famous but closed amusement park.

Charlie Harper lives on Malibu Beach and has attractive female visitors. Similarly, Dave Slade lives on Coney Island Beach and has attractive female visitors. However, these visitors are vampires and demons with the same agenda - rid the world of Dave Slade! Dave Slade is visited by an "Old Man" in a closed amusement park and introduced to time travel. However not driving a DeLorean but using headphones connected to a cellular phone. This film is a fun adventure with good acting, good music and good cinematography with the backdrops of the beach, amusement park rides and the New York City subway.
