Beyond The Conjuring: Horror Movies That Don't (But Could) Exist Within The Warren Universe
Image
It took nearly 20 years to make "The Conjuring," a "based on a true story" film about the supposed hauntings of the Perron family in Harrisville, Rhode Island. For over 14 years, producer Tony DeRosa-Grund went from studio to studio trying to make the film happen, but it wasn't until writers Chad and Carey W. Hayes updated the script and shifted the perspective from the Perron family to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren that there was movement on the picture. The duo interviewed Lorraine Warren to ensure authenticity, and the new script sparked a massive bidding war. The Hayes brothers had cracked the code — the secret of what would become a massive franchise lay with the Warrens.

Before the era of televised paranormal investigators like Zak Bagans of "Ghost Adventures" or "Kindred Spirits" stars Amy Bruni and Adam Berry, there were Ed and Lorraine Warren. Ed was a professed demonologist, while...

“Raised by Wolves” – Removed from HBO Max, Sci-fi Series Finds New Home at Roku
Image
It was back in June of last year that we learned HBO Max had pulled the plug on the Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi series “Raised by Wolves,” cancelling the show after just two seasons. The series was subsequently pulled from HBO Max entirely, with promised plans to license the series (and others) to third-party free ad-supported streaming television (Fast) channels.

Making good on that promise, Bloody Disgusting has learned that “Raised by Wolves” has now found a new home at The Roku Channel, alongside HBO Max’s “Westworld.”

“Raised by Wolves” is now available for streaming on The Roku Channel as part of this week’s launch of 14 Warner Bros. branded linear channels, which include…

WB TV All Together: With stories that feel like home and characters who feel like family, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Programming includes Head of Class, Better With You, Eight is Enough and more.

‘Westworld’ and ‘F-Boy Island’ Among Axed HBO Max Shows Now Streaming on Roku
Westworld (2016)
Many of the shows that have been dropped from HBO Max streaming are now on the 13 new WB-themed Roku channels, the streaming hardware and software maker announced on Tuesday. WB TV Watchlist will now be home to sci-series “Westworld” and “Raised by Wolves” as well as “La Femme Nikita.”

HBO Max revealed in December that they would be licensing shows including “Westworld” to third-party Fast services. Roku has its own Fast service, the Roku Channel, and hosts third-party channels through a channel store.

There’s enough WB content for 13 Roku channels, some of which are dedicated to family programming, true crime, pets, reality TV series, and do-it-yourself.

Roku Channel And Tubi Will Stream Warner Bros. Discovery Shows Like Westworld
Image
Warner Bros Discovery has finally nailed down plans to go the Fast route. Last year — in between an intense bout of cancellations and titles being pulled from their streaming home on HBO Max — the company announced plans to explore a free ad-supported television option (Fast). During the company's third-quarter earnings call, Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav made a point of saying that there's "a huge amount of content that's not even on [HBO Max/Discovery+] that's sitting with us that hasn't been put to monetize in the marketplace." In the spirit of cashing in, a new plan has been enacted. Over the next few months, 14 Warner Bros. branded Fast channels will arrive on Roku and Tubi.

Have you been longing to return to the days of cable television, with free TV shows being regularly interrupted by ads? Don't bother answering, because it's happening either way! The new Warner Bros Fast channels will feature popular titles including "Westworld,...

Mysteries at the Museum: Pompeii, who really invented the telephone and how did Hoover save Belgium?
Mysteries at the Museum’s Don Wildman looks into the mysteries of Pompeii, the invention of the telephone and President Hoover’s efforts to save Belgium during World War I. Pompeii in Italy is a large Roman town that was the victim of Mount Vesuvius erupting in 79 Ad, covering the unfortunate town and many of its inhabitants in volcanic ash. This action left hollow casts of the people in the positions they died in, a discincerting sight but the town’s burial also gives us an unpresedneted look at Roman life.
