Ji Chang-Wook is underrated as an actor because he is mainly recognized for his action dramas, but his abilities in other genres are overlooked. The actor has made the difficult decision to stop doing action dramas due to the toll they take on his body. Ji Chang-Wook excels in both action and romance genres, proving that he can prevail in almost any character, and fans appreciate it when he appears in a drama that blends both genres.
Despite his popularity as one of the best K-drama actors, Ji Chang-Wook is fairly underrated because he is mainly recognized for his action dramas, Healer and The K2. However, while he's quite charming when doing Parkour or knocking people out in black suits, his acting abilities in other areas are sometimes overlooked.
For example, in dramas like Suspicious Partner and If You Wish Upon Me, Ji Chang-Wook excels as both a loving partner and a captivating protagonist.

Ji Chang Wook is undeniably one of the most genuinely hardworking and handsome actors in the Korean industry, and he is capable of doing anything, whether acting in a romance story with swooning moments or an action scene that pushes his body to the limits. However, after The K2, his best action work to date, he stopped doing action K-dramas since they were taking a toll on his body.
Nonetheless, fans were always enthusiastic to see him in fantastic dramas like The Sound of Magic, Suspicious Partner, and If You Wish Upon Me. This year, the actor plans to bounce back into his most experienced trait— action. His upcoming drama, The Worst of Evil, will see the actor in an action thriller genre for the first time in a long time, and his fans are naturally ecstatic about it. With that in mind, here's everything we know about Ji Chang Wook's upcoming K-drama,...

Premium documentaries, co-productions and the changing streamer landscape are set to dominate next week’s Mipcom Cannes as thousands of buyers descend on the Croisette after three years off, according to a wealth of senior sales bosses.
In the lead-up to one of the most highly-anticipated markets for years, Deadline has spoken with Fremantle’s Jens Richter, All3Media International’s Louise Pedersen, Banijay Rights’ Cathy Payne, eOne’s Stuart Baxter and A+E Networks’ Steve MacDonald to assess the state of play before the October 17-20 event.
Each was delighted to be returning in person after three years virtual — last year’s Mipcom was hybrid and pared back — and said there is a renewed optimism, negating the ‘market fatigue’ that has crept up in years gone by.
“People need people and this is a people business,” says Fremantle International CEO Richter. “My main priority is to connect with everybody. Being...

A+E Networks is giving a multinational launch Wednesday to “If You Wish Upon Me,” a Korean drama series that was produced by its A+E Studios unit.
The show is a transformational story of an impoverished man with a troubled past and a twisted attitude who accidentally joins Team Genie, a group which carries out the last wishes of patients in hospice care. He starts caring for people other than himself for the first time and learns how to open his heart and live harmoniously. Each episode has a separate story of a patient in hospice care and Team Genie’s journey to carry out their wishes.
The series was inspired by a true account of the Make-a-Wish foundation in the Netherlands, an international foundation working as the hub for wish-granting activities for children with a critical illness. The adaptation of “If You Wish Upon Me” adds in a hospice setting...
