This new web series was written by Jane Espenson (of Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Gilmore Girls, Torchwood...you know her, the list goes on and on) and Brad "Cheeks" Bell (you're gonna know him soon enough). The laughs keep coming interspersed with so many sweet, touching moments that anyone who has ever been in love can relate to. The cast is gorgeous and the writing brilliant. Imagine what they could do with a network budget considering how beautifully they produced this series on a limited budget. Open your mind and your heart, and you will see that this series is exactly what the entertainment industry and the American public need right now!
Featuring the starstudded cast of Alessandra Toressani (Caprica), Sean Hemeon (True Blood) & Cheeks (Webstar & executive of lifestyle blog, Weyume) and written by the ever-talented Jane Espenson (lets be honest, what show hasn't she written on?) - Husbands promised to be a sure fire winner from the start.
With short episodes packed with more laughs and quirkly lines than most TV shows manage to fit into an hour - Husbands the series will have you laughing and quoting the show for days.
The first marriage equality webseries did not disappoint. With as many tender moments as hilarious ones. Fall in love with the cast instantly and hop on the train and take the ride with newly weds Brady Kelly and Cheeks as they try to piece together a marriage and make it work.
"They're doing it wrong. But that's their right!"
Set in a world where everybody has the freedom to marry - they live in a world that works. A world that makes sense. A world not widely explored anywhere on TV - making this show truly revolutionary and a breath of fresh air - a show that will hopefully pave the path for other shows in the future.
Dive into the show with an open mind. Fall in love. Take the journey.
Husbands The Series is your new addiction.
Embrace it. Love it. And spread the word so we get season 2!!!!

Jane Espenson and Brad Bell have created and written Husbands, the freshest sitcom out there today. This is cutting edge, current, and not only packed with laughs but the most tender moments I've seen in a long time. Brad Bell is not only the creator and writer but the star of the show as the character, Cheeks. What an incredible talent he is. Keep your eye on Brad - he's going to be a superstar.
The other two main characters are Sean Hemeon as Brady and Alessandra Torresani as Haley. The creators could not have picked two better actors for these parts. Brady is so good as Cheeks' new husband. He's handsome, has great comedic timing and plays perfectly against Cheeks' shenanigans. Haley inserts her foot between Brady and Cheeks and tries to hold on to her relationship with her best friend, Cheeks, while he is attempting to nourish this new, delicate relationship. Haley is a natural comedian and hilarity ensues.
Season 2 is about to begin. I recommend that anyone who hasn't seen Season 1 yet to catch up before August 15th.

I thoroughly enjoyed Husbands Season 1! The premise is smart and fresh, the characters likable and well-written, and the acting is great. I laughed--a lot--but I especially enjoyed the fact that there were moments that were sincerely touching, too. The fact is this: although it may appear to be "about" gay marriage, Husbands is really about the universal problems or situations people "in love" or in a marriage find themselves in. I'm not gay, nor am I currently married, but the series made me laugh (and cry) because it's simply about human emotions/foibles that anyone can relate to. I'm just sorry it's not a network series--oh, wait, I barely turn on my television anymore--so never mind! ;) REALLY looking forward to Season 2!

I love "Husbands". It reminds me of the sharp wit that was in classic sitcoms you might see on TV Land. The comedy is subtle and at no ones expense. Jane Espenson has long been my favorite writer. She has had her hand in "Buffy", "Caprica" "Gilmore Girls" and the new "Once Upon A Time". Husbands shares that same quick witted dialog. Brad Bell AKA "Cheeks" is impossible not to fall in love with. Alessandra and Sean round out the cast. Each episode is 2 minutes. You can get caught up on your lunch hour. Give it a try and review. Let's get a second season of this innovative comedy.
