Episode two takes the viewers five years in the past to the streets of Chicago to learn about Mace, Lewis, and Tasha Brown as street hustlers.

Mace continues to contemplate his next move after Ari fails to join him in their attempted coup of Russell Industries. However, CJ Russell isn't slowing down in his efforts of taking over The Mace Davis Project, therefore he hires attorney Luke Danes, who specializes in hostile takeovers. After learning what is going on with his son Mace, his father Otis Cee Turner arrives in Los Angeles to show support. Lewis and Otis Cee discuss their distrust of Ari Russell. Ari meets with Mace to assure him that she still wants out of Russell Industries. Mace is still leery of Ari due to her previous actions. CJ sends Niko to check on his son's ex-wife Joan Smith Russell, who he has demanded her presence in LA. And Ari just can't stop thinking about Mace and her desire to be back with him.
