    Pleasant surprise!

I'm not from Ecuador but I come from a south mexican city and I can understand the hardship that is to make a quality film in a place that has very little opportunities, but this film didn't care about that. The acting was phenomenal, the two brothers were natural actors, the story was told in a way that just made you keep going, It was perfectly not too fast and not too slow, the character Luis was so immature and stupid but I just kind of loved him, he was sympathetic and Paco was very relatable, the whole story was relatable if you were born and live in Lationamerica, just by hearing the title I can sense Dysfunctional family coming, and we latinos know lots about that.

I'm going to look foward to more filmography in Ecuador, Keep the good work!!

    Average, for me anyway

There are things to like about 'Porcelain Horse', yet all in all I can't really say I enjoyed viewing it.

The level of acting is good, Victor Arauz, Leovanna Orlandini and Francisco Savinovich are all plus points for this 2012 flick. I generally approve of how the story is portrayed. However, I never truly cared for the characters and was never all that invested in them - like 'that scene' is done well, but simply didn't hit in any sort of real way.

The characters aren't exactly likeable, which probably doesn't help things. Though I am totally cool with watching troubled characters, the problem is when they aren't all that interesting or there is no reason to root for them - which is pretty much the case here.

All things considered, not a good or bad film. Just extremely average, for me anyway.
