The falling bodies onto the streets and roofs of cars caught my attention from the trailer and the first episode did get off with a good start. As the detective unravels the crime scene by describing the events that took place, that was quite good.
But then the show begins to stall by episode 2 and it doesn't pick up again until the last episode. Episodes 2 through 5 feel more like filler material and my attention began to give out on this show. They could have cut out huge chunks of this film and made it more interesting. I think it had enough material for a 90-minute movie. But a 6-episode limited run series, I don't think they had enough story material.

Why would anybody with the kind of power shown in the first episode spend that kind of money to track just one person that stayed in prison for such a short time for such a horrible crime?
That crucial question was not explained by anyone, thus rendering the entire show a moot point.
The people watching "Sergio" are MORE disturbed than Sergio, whose reason for the crime was explained in less than one sentence and did not make sense.
The show reason for being has not been explained adequately yet, the movie expects to raise the tension of the show with diversion that also have no reason for being because they have no relation to what the producers think is the central theme (that gas not been explained.
The show is what is called "a self eating watermelon."

Knowing how entertaining and full of plot twists spanish movies and tv-series, usually, are, and with a cast that is quite relevant at this point, especially on younger generations, I started this series with a lot of expectations, but I gotta admit that the trailer was actually better than the series itself.
The first episode is good, but in retrospect only because it makes you question a few things that you wish you're going to enjoy during the other episodes, but that never happened, and not because the plot isn't good enough, but because it's narrated in the wrong way and with the wrong timing.

I don't often leave really bad reviews, but I hated it. Like really hated it. Some people called it a crime thriller, but I just thought the story was surreal, progressed slowly, the end made no sense at all. Well, the only sense it made is that the makers want to do a season 2, but it won't be for me. While he's just smashing things or people for the whole series, his little naive fling girlfriend keeps on spinning between him and the other guy (who is a complete moron) and the psychiatrist is just perverted. Then there's a bunch of bad guys around, but you never really know why and they don't add anything to the story. My advice: watch something else.
Just like with another Netflix series "Safe", "Muted" has a promising beginning, keeps your attention throughout all 6 episodes (though not everything makes sense) - suspense is high, acting is great, so you naturally expect some really clever culmination...just to get disappointed in the end. So many question remain unanswered. If his Mother was a saint, why the observation room? What about the experimental medicine? What was it about the older guy who the policeman was meeting in secret places? They really messed up Noa character-nothing makes sense about her. What about his aunt and grandparents? Why were they brought into the play? I can continue with 10 more whys.. Still, the series are so different from the modern day Hollywood productions, so I don't regret watching it.
