I'm a big fan of time travel movies, and this 16-minute short film is a nice addition to the genre. Stealing Time tells the story of a young genius who invents a time machine and tests it on himself-only to discover that his experiment triggers a tragic chain of events and creates a time loop. Another inventor witnesses the experiment and becomes a key figure in the story.
While the basic premise isn't entirely new, the film's execution is impressive. There are some original and funny moments, like the quirky reason the time traveler appears in random places and awkward situations every time he uses the machine. The repetitive actions caused by the time loop are well portrayed, offering plenty of engaging moments for such a short film.
The acting is solid, and despite the limited runtime, we learn a lot about the personalities of the two main characters. There's also an interesting plot twist near the end that redefines what really happened and explains some of the strange events from earlier in the story. The film even reveals the meaning behind its title in a clever way.
Overall, Stealing Time is a fun and well-crafted short film. With such a brief runtime, it's an easy and worthwhile watch for any time travel fan.
