Tubi’s July slate is set to include a range of fan-favorites as well as newer releases.

From several “Final Destination” franchise installments to the 2016 sci-fi film “Arrival” to 2020’s “Zola,” film fans can choose their weekend watches from a mix of different genres. TV offerings include “Girlfriends,” “Millennials,” “Wow: Women of Wrestling” and more. Other titles arriving on the platform include “Bones and All,” “Miss Congeniality,” “Barbershop,” “Thelma & Louise,” “Getting Wamer With Kal Penn” and “Jurassic World.” Plus, three new Tubi originals arrive this month.

The adult animated series American Dad! is packing its bags and could head for a return trip home! According to Deadline, the upcoming Season 19 finale for Seth MacFarland’s American Dad! will serve as a network finale for TBS. The final, new episode of the animated comedy airs on Monday, March 24 at 10/9c, with plans to continue hosting reruns of past seasons in the aftermath. Additionally, reruns will continue to screen on Adult Swim.

Thankfully, the show isn’t going anywhere. American Dad! could return to Fox after leaving TBS, starting with the launch of its 20th season. Ex-WarnerMedia executives Chris Linn and Marissa Ronca have inked a development deal with animation studio Bento Box Entertainment through their agency Contrast Media.

Exclusive: Netflix has signed an overall deal with animators, writers and producers Roger Black and Waco O’Guin, the creators and executive producers of the streamer’s series Paradise Pd.

Under the multi-year pact, Black and O’Guin will continue to run Paradise Pd as well as create and produce new animated content exclusively for Netflix, starting with Farzar.

Netflix has given a 10-episode order to the animated series, created by the duo who will serve as writers, executive producers and co-showrunners.

Dave Creek, the lead character designer for Fox’s “Bob’s Burgers,” died Thursday, succumbing to injuries he sustained in a skydiving accident last week. He was 42.

“We are heartbroken at the tragic passing of Dave Creek, an extraordinary artist who had been with Bob’s Burgers from day one,” Fox broadcast network, “Bob’s Burgers” studio 20th Television and animation house Bento Box Entertainment said in a joint statement Friday. “He was not just an incredible talent but a beautiful person as well, and our hearts go out to his family, friends and all his colleagues at the show who loved him and are grieving today.”

A Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from the California Institute of the Arts, class of 2005, he was also an adjunct professor there, teaching character animation and conducting character workshops. Fox Entertainment’s Bento Box Entertainment and Princess Pictures have signed a first-look animation development deal, with all projects to be fully produced in Australia with local talent and crews.

The aim is to give animation’s next wave of creators the chance to showcase their work across Us and international platforms.

Netflix has renewed the animated comedy series “Paradise Pd” for Season 2. Created by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black (“Brickleberry”), the show premiered Aug.

Netflix demonstrated that its second-quarter miss was an anomaly, reporting record third quarter subscriber growth.

The company added 7 million subscribers in the September, exceeding its conservative forecast for 5 million net additions to the service in the third quarter. Netflix added 1.09 million subscribers in the U.S., and 5.87 million internationally, bringing the total number of subscribers to 137 million.

Netflix reported earnings of 89 cents a share, topping analysts’ consensus estimates of 68 cents a share. Streaming revenue surged 36%, reaching nearly $4 billion in the quarter — a performance that matched Wall Street’s forecasts of $4 billion.

Investors reacted strongly to Netflix’s results, driving the stock up nearly 12% to $388.49 in after-hours trading.

Wall Street’s confidence took a hit after Netflix reported disappointing subscriber gains this spring, with the stock falling sharply in the next day’s trading. At the time, one analyst called the miss a “gut punch.”

Comedy Central has signed a new animation deal with Bento Box Entertainment, the studio behind Fox’s “Bob’s Burgers.”

Under the deal, which is non-exclusive, Bento Box will produce short-form animated content for the Viacom cable channel’s digital platforms — including Facebook Watch and YouTube — with the potential to be adapted for TV down the line.

Bento Box creative director Ben Jones will serve as the lead creative executive on the projects, which will draw from the network’s upcoming and established talent.

Under the pact, Bento Box will develop and produce short-form series for digital/social platforms including Facebook Watch and YouTube, working with up-and-coming and established talent that have caught the attention of Comedy Central. If Comedy Central produces a linear series, Bento Box will have first opportunity rights to animate and executive produce the series, something the company is doing for such series as Fox’s Emmy-winning Bob’s Burgers.

Bento Box creative director Ben Jones will be the company’s lead executive on the projects.

Jones previously served as creative director and producer at Fox’s Adhd animation studio, where he created and served as showrunner on Fxx’s Stone Quackers. He also previously created and executive produced Neon Knome for Adult Swim and Problem Solverz for Cartoon Network.

Comedy Central has unveiled its slate of fall premiere dates, including several series that are set to return before the season officially arrives.

Daniel Tosh's viral video show "Tosh.0" gets the ball rolling later this month, while we won't see new episodes of favorites like "South Park" and sketch series "Key & Peele" -- which will air back-to-back -- until late September. The network's full premiere lineup includes:

"Tosh.0" - Tuesday, August 26 at 10 p.m.

"Adam DeVine's House Party" - Tuesday, September 9 at 10:30 p.m. Moves to its regular Thursday timeslot on September 11 at 12:30 a.m.

"Brickleberry" - Tuesday, September 16 at 10:30 p.m.

"South Park" - Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m.

"Key & Peele" - Wednesday, September 24 at 10:30 p.m.

"Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution" - Friday, October 3 at 12 a.m.

Comic-Con 2014 is almost upon us, and the networks have just started announcing which of their shows will be lucky enough to be heading to San Diego this year.

After three wickedly successful seasons, the cast of American Horror Story (Coven and Freak Show) will be making their Comic-Con debut. Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and newcomer Michael Chiklis will be joined by executive producer Tim Minear in Room 6De on Saturday, July 26 from 7-8 Pm for a recap of last season and an exclusive sneak peek at Freak Show.

Exclusive: Comedy Central is betting big on actress-comedian Natasha Leggero. The comedian, who garnered a lot of attention with her wild set as a roaster at last year’s Comedy Central Roast Of James Franco, is a voice cast member of Comedy Central’s animated series Brickleberry and a recurring guest panelist on the network’s breakout new late-night show, @midnight. Now Comedy Central has greenlighted a scripted pilot starring and executive produced by Leggero and a stand-up special headlined by her. The pilot, Another Period, hails from Ben Stiller’s Red Hour, with Drunk History co-creator/director Jeremy Konner directing. Deadline reports that the home of Louis C.K.'s acclaimed comedy is developing another autobiographical comedy centered around a stand-up comedian. The comic this time? D.L. Hughley.

The untitled project will be based on Hughley's life experiences, revolving around the comedian as an unapologetically honest family man and radio host. Hughley, who has been married for over 25 years and has three children, will co-write the script with Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin ("Brickleberry").

Hughley previously starred in the ABC/Upn comedy "The Hughleys" from 1998-2002.
